The story of the Ukraine-Russia crisis does not begin in 2021, or 2014, It begins in the 9th century.
There was a time when the two countries were one.
There was a time when Ukraine gave its nuclear arsenal to Russia.
Palki Sharma Upadhyay will tell you why Putin wants Ukraine.

(Let alone the military applications of uv lasers) The U.S. gets over 90% of neon supply from UKRAINE. Putin does not care if all Ukrainians die as long as Russia gets the world’s supply of neon! Neon is not just for fancy bar signs or Las Vegas signs... USA & NATO should be attacking Russia or defending Ukraine at least as we speak! 🤦🏼‍♂️

Listen to "Why is Ukraine the West's Fault? Featuring John Mearsheimer" here on youtube and you'll see why all the takes in the News and western vlogs are total crap. Russian approval ratings seem to accept the justification, and at the end the winner may write history and thus justify it. This one sentence - is not objective in that literally Putin IS using this justification and his people are seeming to accept it.

He also want to give freedom to Donbass regions which are legitimately supposed to break off from Ukraine as agreed in the United Nations. Donbass is supposed to be free but Kiev refuses the right given to it by UN. This is a matter of self preservation for Russia; not imperialism.

    • @@mr.kongunadu9387 You are incredibly naive. Americans are already involved. There is no way Ukraine and Russia will solve this on their own. Russia will simply take what it wants from Ukraine unless or until Ukraine has had enough, and asks for help from NATO. The U.S. has already been supplying military weapons, as well as additional military training. You claim America will take to nuclear level, but offer no explanations that would pass the laughter test. Just because both America and Russia have nukes, doesn't mean that America is going to take it to nuclear level, nor does that mean Russia will for that matter. However, if Russia receives military resistance, I would not be surprised if he escalates it to nuclear level, especially since Russia has already been condemned by numerous other countries, and America has far more military strength than Russia.

    • Ukraine was apart of Russia for centuries but from a personal perspective of Putin, Ukraine has been apart of Russia more than half of his life. If we look at the situation through a lens of our lives we could compare. For example, I’m 36 years old, Putin is 69 years old. If a U.S. state broke away right now say the state of Texas and 31 years later (how long Ukraine has been independent) when I’m 67 years old the U.S. decides to take over a couple counties of Texas where the people identify as Americans and not the new creation they were caught up in when the whole state declared independence.. I’m straight up going to laugh if someone quoted me that about “past imperialism.” Texas leaves in 2022 and 31 years later the U.S. is like these people in north Texas don’t like you, we’re making them America again… should people of the world send troops to defend all of Texas? I think the two areas in eastern Ukraine should vote who they want to be apart of.

  • As an American, I just wanted to share my thoughts on this segment. This was VERY WELL put together WITH FACTS. Not opinions. So many people in our world today are incapable of separating fact from opinion. The facts come fast in this video as does the history. The most IMPORTANT thing we must remind ourselves of these international conflicts is. What do the people of Ukraine want? Ultimately the decision should be up to them. As an American I must also remind myself of what do the people of Donetsk and Luhansk want? If they wish to become or remain Russian and Russian governed. Then we should also respect that. This is the year 2023. We cannot continue with these nonsensical wars and extreme violence against entire peoples. We slaughtered ourselves and each other for a hundred thousand years and only in the last 200 years of mankind’s existence have we actually broken through with technologies and laws that allow all of us to live a more safe, secure, and prosperous existence. That being said. We must also protect the weak. “Aggression unchallenged leads to more aggression”. For our children’s sakes. We have real problems as a species that we need to solve and men like Putin are preventing all of us from solving them and graduating to the next level of peace and prosperity.

And there was an outstanding Ukrainian historian Oleg Buzina, who was killed be Ukrainian nationalists in 2014, his historical studies were perfect and he was a very sincere, open minded man, but I don't know, whether his books were translated into English. As for this study from Palki, it very politicized, it is not true. Relations of nations are more complicated, than personal, they may be tragic, but there is no "right or wrong " in history... For example, Russians and Ukrainians ,who at those times were both called Rusichi (Russy) always complain about mongols and tatars invasions, it was awful, the war is always awful, but in the long perspective, they learned from tatars to rule big territories. ..

Do you really think any of these countries actually care about the population of Ukraine? I will tell you what, they don’t even care about their own population. My point exactly is....with some much money, influence, artilleries, power and people....can Russia really be stopped? can any country who decides to wage war be truly stopped? These are not the days of bows and arrow anymore....we are talking, the push of a button and disaster is born.

Where was the so called "International Law" when the USA killed so many people around the world? Where was the so called right to "Right to self Determination" when the UK partitioned India? If Putin conducting referendums on foreign soil is illegal, why was Pakistan created through the same basis? USA forcibly helped to break apart Russia and when it wants its territory back its a breach of International law? I am no Nazi or Communist sympathizer, and I do not justify the murder of so many people, but saying Russia is wrong is just pure hypocrisy. The International Law is just a medium for powerful countries to control the less developed countries, and make them their playground.

    • Yes, facts, but not all facts, and not all details of facts. For example, it was not said that the eastern regions of modern Ukraine are Russian territories that were gifted to Ukraine by Vladimir Lenin in about 1920, then USSR was formed. Ironically, one more Vladimir. On the other hand, the western regions are previous territories of Poland, Romania and Hungary, that were joined to Ukraine by Joseph Stalin just before WWII. And that was big Stalin's strategic mistake. I myself live in Sevastopol (Crimea). And don't say me that I live in Ukraine, I live in Russia. The Russian flags here are not because people here are afraid of assault rifles but because people here consider this correct. Nikita Khrushchev, who gifted Crimea to Ukrainian SSR as a symbol of eternal friendship between Russians and Ukrainians, are very unpopular here.

    • @@malvinapushkova2386 I guess these facts are always omitted because they do not fit the narrative of present political views, but in general Palka gave pretty good overview of the Ukrainian history. Of course she should also mention Catherine the Great ant Otomans and history of how Crimea became Russian. And of course people who know something about Russia should know that Russia would never let control of navy bases in Sevastopol to go to another hand. Same like the navy base in Syria. We live in the world in which history and its correlation to many territorial issues has no meaning for majority, not toroughly educated people, and therefore it makes it easier to manipulate masses to whatever agenda is on the mind of ruling classes. So sad.

The Bandera movement in Ukraine is a critical part of what led to this conflict. She just ignored it. Why? Either she doesn't know about it or she knows it but intentionally omitted that information in order to sway the viewers to her personal point of view. Comment section readers can make up their own mind about which of those it was. Regardless of why they think she omitted it, people should do their own due diligence to inform themselves and research Bandera. Find out why he is considered a hero of Ukraine. Also study the current movement by his present-day admirers.
