    • Why? There's a guy on YT who capture drone footage of white sharks and they are constantly encountering people in the water, just checking them out then wandering off. The consensus is that they only chomp people by mistake. I would much rather be in the water with a white shark than in the vacinity of a wild lion for instance.

      @TheGodlessGuitarist@TheGodlessGuitarist3 жыл бұрын
    • Most times you cannot see the shark in the water whereas in the wild, chances are you see or hear the lion before it gets ya. But if your in an open top Jeep on safari your safe from lions :)

    • Its much scarier when your on a surfboard. Bull sharks are scarier in my world because they have the highest testosterone of any shark. Making them more aggressive. They also swim far up into the fresh water estuaries in late summer. I am an active waterman and have to put the thoughts completely out of my head. I was doing hull maintenence on my sailboat a while back and I dove into the water and started swimming down the keel and completely startled a 10 foot bull shark. I think I scared him as much as he scared me.

  • this is incredible. Since they're ambush predators I thought it was just being curious, but the footage at 2:38 it literally pops its head out of the water to get a closer look at them. That added with it becoming more and more bold bumping into the boat it very much seems like the shark is trying to workout how to get them in the water. Imagine how many times some one has been in a kayak or on a much smaller life raft (from a ship wreck or something) and this started happening. Stuff of nightmares but also shows how intelligent they are considering that is in no way how they normally hunt. Just them problem solving on the fly.

    @AlienSquidMonster@AlienSquidMonster4 ай бұрын
    • at 2:38 the shark MOST DEFINITELY DOES NOT!! repeat DOES NOT!! ‘pop its head out of the water to get a better look at them” and in fact the white (underwater) eye is white, indicating that at that proximity to the engine, the shark’s protective nictating membrane was engaged It couldn’t actually see anything at that point

      @waynefay8210@waynefay82104 ай бұрын
    • @@waynefay8210 oh good eye weirdly passionate man, perhaps it flinched from getting so close to the engine and that's why it popped part of its head out. At first glance I thought that was a reflection off the water from the sun.

  • He wanted whatever fish they had caught I think as she doesn’t seem to show any of the normal aggression signs. Bumping into the boat is common, it’s when they start chewing on the transom or props that people have a problem. A boat that size is a false sense of security, as the shark can lunge from below without their knowledge and snatch one of them from the boat. The girth of that thing is absolutely massive.
