  • That auger doing the digging won't last long hitting it with a hammer to clear it, rig a rod to push the muck out from above!!! Also empty it into a wheelbarrow so you don't need to handle it more than necessary! I've watched a lot of these well digging videos as I want to dig one myself, this one seemed very confusing to follow, lots of different processes.

    • Most of the hand dug percussion drilled wells dug like this are 25-300 feet deep but by the 1800's in china it had been perfected enough to reach 3000 feet.

  • This will only work in an area where the soil and subsoil is soft, any rock or hard ground you need another way to do it.
