He did smoke a lot of weed before/possibly still does smoke now which does take a toll on your mental health in the long run (anxiety, psychosis, short term memory etc.) However Nick did look mentally in a much better place then I've ever seen him in the lead up to the fight and to be honest I enjoyed listening to Nick take his time and speak what he was thinking. I think what many people still imagine is the old Nick Diaz who would show up right after blazing, yell angrily at his opponent and then proceed to disappear completely other than random KZhead videos accusing other fighters, and that has clearly changed and mentally he looks in a much healthier place

  • Seems like a legit class act. I love to see fighters be respectful of their opponents. And I especially loved his comments where he said he doesn't worry about what the other guy is saying & doing, nor about win/loss streaks, speculating on other fights & fighters, etc. Great post-fight interview.
