  • It's even easier to keep your own groove if your tinnitus is dialed up to eleven.

  • Really cool! I do feel like it's in a way easier for Cory to keep track of his playing here as the bassline grooves in itself. With a simple bassline with a lot of space it's hard to keep track of where you are between the notes. That's just how I feel though.

    • Exactly my thoughts, i was going to comment that ! Many people think that it's harder to keep track of the rhythm with busy and fast paced lines, when in fact it's the absolute opposite, it's way harder to keep the rhythm playing a slow bassline with lots off space between the notes So the video was cool, but the first one was more impressive ;)

    • Yes... more then in part 1 but still to easy for the bass player timingwise :-)

    • Agreed, not really a challenge here. That being said, Petar is actually focussing on sounding good and not so much on throwing Cory off.

  • This kinda stuff makes me miss jamming with people. Not in a serious band context or anything, just riffing out for a couple hours and having fun.

    • My self-producing solo artist friend has been so fixated on recording lately that he can never just jam. The moment we come up with one part, he has to spend the whole day now recording a song. Even though he never plans to do anything with it. So i go from wanting to free jam to having to play alone to a metronome all day

  • Haha, this time it actually seemed more like Petar was hardly capable of even trying to throw anyone off, but rather being held captive himself by Cory's infectious bass riff! Insanely great stuff whatsoever though!

  • No, that bass player was locked in. I saw this video More’s drummer tries to throw himself off. Me and my old bass player used to do this and it was really fun but we used to work together to try to throw each other off instead of just trying to throw off a loop which is near impossible. Also, this drummer is a bit painful to watch. He’s got chops, but he just looks so mechanical and awkward.

The problem here is that even if Cory lets the kids play with knives, you two have been playing together for so long and are so familiar with each others time feel, that its impossible for either of you to get lost!
