  • I love how despite the Warden being arguably deadlier then the ENDER DRAGON. He seems to be warning the player about what to not do. Like not making any noises when he's around and explaining how he attacks. Most notably explaining how he just hates loud noises and simply wants things to be quiet

    • I agree, however, that's not all of his claims. Yes, he doesn't like noise, however, in the alternate ending, it is shown that he also really wants the player's eyes in order to be able to see. Heck, you can see that here, with the note saying "How to remove eyeballs"

  • Damn this was 100% worth the wait, I love the quiet instrumental in contrast with Dan’s aggressive delivery for a the Warden. And the chorus is by far the best I’ve heard in any Minecraft rap Ekrcoaster did again a phenomenal job with the animation too

  • May already be a popular opinion, but I really think the Warden was what Minecraft needed. A difficult almost conventionally unbeatable force of nature-type of enemy. They handle it super well too.

    • @@SpedzterSpedy keep in mind that I said conventionally speaking. Thing is, while you’re correct, practically every mob in Minecraft has some unconventional or extra way to beat them easily. Even make a farm out of them as you mentioned. And with the way Minecraft is, it’s almost impossible to create a mob that wouldn’t be a part of that. The point of my comment is that the Warden is one of those mobs that you almost can’t beat normally. The Wither, the Enderdragon, and practically every other mob has methods of cheese, but they can still be fought traditionally. I’ve rarely seen many people take on the Warden the same way. Making it a great force of nature enemy.

  • 2:23 The way the music fades to just some menacing bass guitar chords as the Warden 2.0 forms in front of him, staring at him with those phantom-like eyes, whispering the lyrics with a sadistic tone ot his voice, is one of the most terrifying things I've seen in Minecraft animation.   • After you get to like 12 minecraft hostile mob raps, you should definetly sell physical CD albums of it. Just an idea but it would be cool if there was a regular edition and a deluxe edition where the deluxe edition has both creeper and skeleton rap remixes in it. I would love to buy it.

  • I love the concept of the Warden. An unstoppable force that you have to sneak around to not get demolished. Its like one of those bosses in other video game genres like resident evil and Half Life Alyx where you can't kill the monster, you just have to not get caught. I love these kinds of enemies. Also the only rap that sounds good at all speeds.

  • 1:52 theory: the rest of the song is a hallucination and the players eyes flash red after because that's when they were taken out. edit: the final form warden also has eyes all over him and two weird eye sockets. this might be showing he finished adding eyes, or he had failed to obtain eyes in the past and they either fell out or got absorbed into the sculk (sculk grows when mobs die on it, so many the sculk just absorbed all of the human eyes) edit 2: HOWEVER in the B music video the instructions say to make sure they are in a good mood while their eyeballs are being removed, so maybe the A ending is canon for the player's hallucination because they are able to sleep safely (minus the warden appearing), but the B ending in the *real* world is canon as the warden has the player's eyeballs in that video.

  • Things I love about this: Some of the lyrics from Emperor's light, one of my favourite raps you did (despite not knowing anything about 40k Warhammer stuff) being reused really fit the theme. The instructions on how to remove eyeballs was hilarious to me, FYI my favourite minecraft rap was actually the zombie one with the spider one then skeleton one after that, but now I have to say this is now my new favourite! I love it Dan! Can't wait to see what you release next!

  • Most of this video felt like an acid trip in the deep dark XD Seriously the animators for it went ham with the vibe for the sculk dimension and it's amazing! I love the detail of the player being slightly glitchy and becoming more corrupted as he tries to escape. Also, "You have the right to remain silent. And I have the right to remain violent." goes HARD! Edit: I noticed the Warden has a pickaxe lodged in his back, and coupled with the fact his giant weird form has eyes all over it, that makes for some very interesting conclusions. He collects eyes and some Minecraftians have tried to fight back

    • Actually, if u look at the other version of this song (by Ekrcoaster) at 2:07 at the manual how to remove eyeballs, the 4th step says "Give them acid and trick them into thinking they are in your home planet, the deep dark".
