Once Kane was sold I’m sure most the media pushed spurs were going to struggle big time
However as Harry says and I agree, with ManU and Chelsea struggling we certainly have a better sqaud than Villa. Finishing below them is a dissapointment after our start and after we got our strongest team back. Thats one way of looking at it, if you want to look at if different then you are entitled to, however there are different realities.
Im an Arsenal fan and think Spurs fans are mad if they want to get rid of Ange. The problem comes when you keep changing managers. Spurs tried to get in Conte and Jose who are known for short term success. Ange could do well for Spurs like Poch had you in a good poistion. If you want to actually ever achieve something stick with him and give him a chance like we have with Arteta. If you dont he will go on to a better team.

Well they lost their best player and improved from last season with a new manager so I reckon that’s a decent season
They could potentially finish on the same points they had last year. That isn’t improvement it is just the teams like United, Chelsea and Newcastle were worse.
@@Deomnibusdubitandum274I agree with you, however, a club like Spurs who doesn’t invest into buying players will very rarely win any competition. The ideal wining square is 22 men, all good players, Tottenham don’t have 5 good players and I thought they earn the most on the EPL.

They did surprise in the first half teams, with theyr style of play... Next, most PL managers did theyr homework and know there is one game plan at Spurs: kamikaze football... Ange lost his surprise elements, and he don't have a game B plan .. if he stays, Spurs will be in relegation battle next year.. Ange thinks this is Japan League or Scottish League playing with Aberdeen, Hearts and so on... His style is crazy, every time lose ball, opposite team from 3-4 passes catch them on counter, lmao
Ange has done a great job getting this squad to the best they are capable of. And hes had them playing, at times, some of the most entertaining football of the season. Anyone looking to knock / criticise Ange is just not being reasonable. The best this squad could ever do is finish 4th & theyre solidly in 5th place in the toughest league in the world. All the commentary says nuch much more about the character & demeanour of the person commentating than it does about Ange - whos been consistently strong for the past decade & very highly successful for 95% of it. 5th in the EPL with a squad that rates somewhere between 4th & 10th ...solid first year.

No it hasn't in the bigger picture, When kane left everyone was stating we would finish in the bottom half of the league. 5th is amazing with the change if manger and players and system. We can push on next season.
Klopp delivered a 7th 4th & 4th in his first 3 years at Liverpool.
Spurs simply got a post negative manager bounce with Ange (after Conte). Similar to Ole after Jose.
How is it a disappointment if last season we finished 8th and this season will be 5th/4th. We are playing drastically different and more attacking football. A good summer window and as long as we get a solid striker in we will have progress and success next season for sure.

@@roberthardy5171 Rough figures but VDV was £35m, Maddison was £40m, Johnson £50m, Vicario £20m. We also secured the signings of Porro and Kulusevski. So yeah about £200m is right, maybe even more than that. Doesn't include spending another £25m on Dragusin either. Ange has spent a lot of money to get a few more points in the league from last season and go out of the cups earlier.
If youd have asked most Spurs fans at the beginning of the season if theyd take top 5 and enjoyable football theyd have taken it, but set pieces have been a problem all season and he needs to address that issue or itll cost them dearly
You are correct we would. But that was on the basis of ManU's last season, Chelsea must get better and Newcastle will be in the mix plus Brighton (not forgetting Villa last season). None of that happened apart from Villa with a squad no better than ours having consistent spells, even with injuries. After all that saying we would take top 5 doesnt wash enough for me.

@Dante--X when you get rid of a large amount of players from last season and planning to add new players to suit your system or depth. No one said they had a winning team maybe aging one. Another example is if you had a fail project that isn't achieving your goal, you scape that project to rebuild a different project that might be more successful. If you still don't understand, I try to find a simpler example.

Spurs were close to the relegation places when Harry took over. But he turned it around and got us back up the table. I don't think anyone can be dissatisfied with what Harry did for THFC. Should never have been sacked when he was. Levy should have changed his mind when Harry didn't get the England job.

Not disappointing season. Its his 1st season in charge of a club this big for the 1st time in his life and 1st time in the Premier League. Its disappointing how the last games panned out. Its the end of the season. Expectations are to high. Get back to ground level. Stop living in the clouds expecting trophies and titles and performances with average places to be better then City, Arsenal, Liverpool who there managers are NOT in there 1st season NOT 1st time in the League and with spending a LOT more. Give this man a break.
