short but sweet POV of this Boeing 787 Load up and pushback
Пікірлер
Itsamazing how a small mini truck can push planesback a potentially dangerous job that i suppose passengers take for granted

I like the dollies you guys have there. Ours here in Sydney requires so much work. One ULD per dollie and they are all old so its hard to spin them around.

Super interesting to watch. Got the job as a ramp agent, starting in February. Excited to start working. Any tips what I might be doing first as a starter? Probably just helping with loading unloading the luggage, but what else I might be doing?

hey Ryan, thanks for these great video’s 👍 To help us new starters in this work, could you possibly explain the abbreviations you make ? GPU / APU for example … one that I don’t know was PMG ? This would be really helpful 😃 Thanks again for these video’s and please keep them coming 🙏💪
@cmmhelmond Жыл бұрын
GPU is the ground power unit, basically just any form of ground power either connected directly from the jet bridge or from a towable generator. APU is the auxiliary power unit, usually located in the tail of the plane and is usually turned off once GPU is connected. ASU, air start unit is very rarely used if the APU is faulty, supplying bleed air to the engines to start.

@@jameswright3496 thanks very much… I am thing the list of abbreviations could be a bit longer 😃. also the names of the equipment would be a nice touch, for example: todays video includes the following vehicles….. 👍

The small vehicle he used is called an EBT The belt loader he used to walk up in to the plane. Then the HI-LOW to load the cargo bins in to the plane. Then the push back tug.
@amaon190411 ай бұрын
not in the states. What you an EBT we simply call a Tug. A belt loader is the same. The HI-LOW is called a container loader.
