In this tutorial video I go over what I think to be the best way to use Dynamesh and ZRemesher in Zbrush. When to switch from Dynamesh to ZRemesher and the benefits of sculpting with divisions and clean topology. Did you find this video helpful? Are you still confused? Whats a topology? Let me know!

"a pixel canvas where all the pixels arn't the same size" that is an absolute gem of a line. Thank you! You've made this so much clearer and easier to understand. Subscribed!
thanks :)
Wow. I'm so used to watching a guy from Isreal on a Lenovo laptop demonstrate something with no sound or captions at 240p. Please continue making clear and concise videos, very refreshing. Thanks!
Thanks dude! Will do
Wow! I've been BATTLING with a sculpt I'm busy with and you've just showed me what I was doing wrong, not to mention you finally cleared up for me the difference between Z-remeshing and dynameshing. You sir should be an instructor. Thank you! You just got a new sub. I will go through all your Z-brush videos
+CallMeLum awe thanks man, I appreciate it. glad I could help
Same for me now. Thx J Hill! *.*
you're welcome!
Wow, what an amazing tutorial. You explained the whole process so well and clear. The process of using dynamesh and z-remesher make so much more sense, thank you!
I'm just getting into ZBrush and I found this video to be fantastically helpful in understanding the difference between Dynamesh and ZRemesher. Thanks for making it!
Amazing, the best explanation about the differences between dynamesh, zremesher and divide ever!
Carla Soriani yay!
absolutely agree!
Thanks for the great tutorial...Many people out there just talk about using the dynamesh without stressing the need to "get your forms and get the hell out of dynamesh"..Thanks for showing me the fundamental i was never told about.
Great video! I've been fighting with ZBrush for the longest time, trying to figure out the best workflow with DynaMesh and ZRemesher, and you answered a lot of my questions. Thank you!
You explain very, VERY well. Honestly I think one of the best tuto I've seen in a long time. There are so many people out there that make informative but badly made tutorials. Your's is easy to follow
thanks man, I appreciate it and I'm glad I could help
Now this is a tutorial. Simple, straight to the point, and concise. Thank you good sir for your effort in making this tutorial. You just gained a subscriber.
thanks dude, glad I could help
Just a quick question tho, I'm sculpting a figure for 3d printing and I'm wondering if I still need to use Zremesher or I can just sculpt away until high poly then onto the printing. Thanks in advance.
Ron Oliver Rombo doesn't matter what its for, this all still applies. this is the best practice for sculpting in zbrush right now
Thank you man. For even taking the time to answer. You're the best.
Ron Oliver Rombo np dude, good luck with your project!
Thanks so much for this video, I think this is one of the best dynamesh videos on KZhead! Also great that you added a camera, makes it more fun to watch the video. Great video man keep it up!
AdamConcepts awesome, thanks man!
I'm on my first serious sculpt and I've been struggling trying to get things smoothed out and detailed for weeks, but this explains SO MUCH!! Thank you very much for sharing and explaining everything so clearly!
you're welcome! good luck with your sculpt :)
Thanks J !! in just 10 minutes you made it clear on how to implement an optimal work flow.. Thanks!!!
Excellent. Going to look for more videos from you now. ZBrush has such a steep learning curve and KZhead is full of the "whiskers and pores" level of detail on how to work with it. Nice to get a 'Dynamesh' overview!
I started to learn Zbrush 3 weeks ago and I watched tons of videos. I was much confused. This video has made clear, this video is crucial, fundamental. I would have liked to watch it before. I'm pretty sure that your channel is a gold mine, Thanks!
+matt one thanks man, I appreciate that!
Thanks for the great tut dude!
Thank you!!!! I've watched lots of videos about dynamesh, and your explanation is the clearest!
I'm glad I could help!

Can't believe you only have 18k subscribers. With the quality of your content you deserve more. Thank you for explaining everything in such a nice way! Looking forward for more
Nice, just starting to learn zbrush at school and this was the best comparaison ive seen. ty
This is one of the most exciting features of ZBrush. To use Bezier curves to work for you in 3D. I kind of found out about that on my own but your tutorial really nails it and dissect it.
cool, glad you liked the video
This is incredibly useful. I've been lost about when to use Dynamesh, ZRemesher and divisions and your video explained it really well. Thank you for making this video.

Had to sub and see what else you've got, since this was a super helpful video! Didn't realize what a difference there was in the topology, no wonder my Dynamesh sculpts are funky later on lol. Thanks for making this, will def be checking out the channel.

I have idea for next video: Zbrush useful tips. Example: I just started using Zbrush, and I didn't know how remove copy of my subtool from scene (so i restarted Zbrush usualy ) - yesterday somebody told me to use ctrl+n to clean my layer. Great tutorial and i can't wait for more :)
Thanks man this was very clear and easy to understand, great video!
Hey this came in handy today at work! Thanks Jason!
haha glad I could help. When are we gonna ball again? I miss our basketball days
Very clear and concise thanks a lot for this.
Holy shit, man. This was ridiculously helpful. I've been slowly chipping away at a female sculpt for a while now, trying to get secondary and tertiary detail in with Dynamesh. This really helped me get a larger view of what the process could and should be, and how much easier that could make life for me. Thanks for sharing these tips!!
Glad you found it useful and that I could help. Good luck with your project!
Nice clean tutorial, great explanations, thank you !

THANK YOU! Amazing tutorial!
Thanks for the video man! Also, love your artstation page.
thanks man! :)
This is gold to me. Good information, thank you!
Great tutorial mate, thanks for that !!
So very succinct with your words, great tutorial!
Zremesher just creates a grid, right? Meaning it wouldn't be perfect for animation topology? Could you hypothetically zremesh and then fix topology for animation where needed or would it be easier to just do manual retopo?
perfect for sculpting. still no replacement for doing retopo by hand
Fair play :) THANKS!
Hey J Hill, i've watched your other videos, but you don't seem to use dynamesh in them, you just use remesher while shaping the low poly result and then remesh again, for example on your Ogre sketching video. Is there any reason that you don't start with dynamesh in some of your videos?
The older videos are before dynamesh existed. I use dynamesh for everything now unless I have a basemesh already made
Thanks for the vid, cleared many things up!
This is a very well done explication, thank you!
Thanks, I hope it helps
Fantastic content mate!
