  • LH lacks the enthusiasm to drive a car that doesn’t fit his style! Adaptation has withered with age! Ferrari might kindle his spirits for a while but if they too don’t ‘happen’ to build a car exactly what LH likes, the same fate as now awaits him there too. An 8th title has disappeared into the far!

  • The car lacking in top speed, corner downforce, and still bouncing down the track. The issue is Mercedes engineers missed something rather obvious in their simulations ... too much airflow causing turbulence. As the air flow increases via aero design/undertray/speed the low pressure increases (or decreases relative to POV) which sticks the car to the road surface with minimal drag. However, if the air flow increases so much that it's causing turbulent vortices they effectively stall the downforce generated momentarily which triggers unloading of the suspension which reduces flow temporarily and repeats the cycle -- the bouncing. Mercedes seem unable to identify where and what is causing the turbulence at a given speed. Since this issue seems to vary from track to track it's likely related to air density as well. This is all basic aero engineering so I'm surprised they can't figure this out with simulation? SolidWorks have flow modules (very expensive per license but easily affordable for F1 team) that can simulate air flow over variance in velocity ... perhaps Mercedes decided to do their own flow modules and that's where the problem exists?

  • Interesting because the current car has included a ton of what Hamilton demanded in the new car, heck even Russell stated that the car was designed around whatever Hamilton wanted. Plus, like last year, both Hamilton and Russell signed off on the car. The only fundamental problem with the Mercedes at this point is Hamilton.

  • Lewis Is in my mind, a 8X world champion, when he lost the 8th something in F1 had never happened before. Twice now to the public knowled at least.Lewis told them about issues with the car ? They haven't listened too him. Go Lewis next year and rightfully get the 8th that should of been the 9th 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
