john doe I really want AJ to win, from the little footage that came out from his training camp he seems to have tightened his defence for hooks. He really needs to keep both hands up when in mid/close range and grab hold of Ruiz’s hands when they clinch because ruiz tends to explode out of clinches and throws hooks. Povetkin in this fight had so many opportunities to do that but had too much respect for AJ.
@richardpepple60394 жыл бұрын

NightsPhenom712 poverkin is the most underrated fighter in the division, that is why I think to me this is Joseph most impressive win. @gilbertgodfrey77774 жыл бұрын
@@qubaliclife4666 Lol no. Ruiz is a much better brawler than Povetkin. Ruiz beat Joshua because during brawling exchanges, Ruiz was simply a better brawler being faster than Joshua. The faster brawler has an edge in brawling match. Ruiz has a decent guard as well against top-level punches (head), certainly better than this dude who let Joshua get an easy opening by having his left hand too far down. Ruiz keeps a tight guard and brawls when in range. Joshua also has bad stamina. You are obviously showing your bias and can't see the weakness in Joshua's game. Joshua could of won that fight with Ruiz if he made a simple adjustment and land body shots to slow down Ruiz. Deontay Wilder is a better fighter than Joshua because he is faster and has insane punching power. He has a basketball player's speed and wire strong like a small forward.

john doe I really want AJ to win, from the little footage that came out from his training camp he seems to have tightened his defence for hooks. He really needs to keep both hands up when in mid/close range and grab hold of Ruiz’s hands when they clinch because ruiz tends to explode out of clinches and throws hooks. Povetkin in this fight had so many opportunities to do that but had too much respect for AJ.
What you guys forget is that Joshua was trying to clinch, Ruiz was just hitting him and not letting him rest for the clinch. I'd bet Ruiz is hoping AJ clinches so he can rest and hit him at the same time.
Daniel that’s why I said he has to grab hold of Ruiz’s hands when he clinches Cos Ruiz always does that
Anthony Joshua African blood one love brotherly 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖❤❤❤❤
AJ is a smart fighter, this guy is making history taking them down one by one.
That was a tough, tough fight and joshua came through, but it was wasnt easy because Povetken throws with power and speed and at the time of the fight not many heavyweights would have beaten him.
True. A tough man.
GREAT FIGHT 💪🔥👊!!!!
Hats off to both fighters and everyone involved. Magic
Let’s go champ A J😍
WOW! I just watched this again. AJ and Povetkin are skilled. Povetkin would have KO'ed Wilder had they fought. Top class inside game, deadly
Eddie paid for this, just as Ruiz to come in Obese...
Tell me why Wilder and povetkin didn't fight???? I'll wait
@@andrejones3711 wilder ran back to America when a trace amount of a newly banned substance popped up in Povetkin's drug test. Povetkin sued and won by the way.
No, Wilder would have knocked him out cold ❄️.
kid stop
I kinda feel like aj likes to take it easy in first half of his rounds and then takes up more ground in the later halves
AJ like to smoothen his opponents first and finishes them up in style.
Dude has some crisp strikes not like he's trying to put em down with one hit but his power will put his opponents on their heels and he can finish them whenever that minda mind set consumes his opponent
Povetkin has a Tyson vibe to him
Canelo maybe
@@coolquedee2893 nah Tyson
New fight night with golden moment like this would be excellence
September 25th 2021 is another day
AJ fights are always Classics
I’m a big Joshua fan but looking back at this fight, Joshua seems robotic and slow. Hopefully the loss of muscle mass helps in the rematch
NightsPhenom712 yea man I wish he sparred povetkin for this rematch
NightsPhenom712 poverkin is the most underrated fighter in the division, that is why I think to me this is Joseph most impressive win. Stylistically, povetkin is a lot more dangerous fighter for Joshua then Ruiz. If he take his time with Ruiz like he did with povetkin, he should be able to win the rematch.
QUbalic life povetkin isn’t a ruthless fast hard hitting counter puncher like Ruiz is tho🤷🏻♂️ he swarms you when you try and throw
NightsPhenom712 dude just knocked a man out what y talkin bout bruv?
51:47 Povetkin gets pulled out of the canvas by his own team. lol
I think he's in the wrong weight class.

Povetkin was winning the fight. Crucial KO by Joshua🥊
I'm all day routing for AJ
D'Amato would be proud of how Anthony was able to develop an answer to neutralize that beautiful D'Amato style.
20Yo Mike Tysom would bang Aj, Mike Tyson is too fast and too powerful he knew the perfect peekaboo style
@@LUCIFER-zd7hz true. He wouldn't bang AJ out immediately but he might put him to sleep in the 2 or third. I was more so talking about how AJ was able to understand his style and find away to disassemble it. But Tyson wouldn't give him enough time lol.
@@johnmicheal3904 Yes ofc Mike was too fast he didnt get hit clean during his era
@@LUCIFER-zd7hz Aj would give him a lot issues. His jab his extremely heavy and the way he uses it to set you up is beautiful. When he isn't nervous that is. But, it wouldn't matter if Mike doesn't just rush in and uses his head. It would an awesome fight. If it ran past 2 rounds it would be AJs to lose.
@@johnmicheal3904 no he wouldn't
The povetkin fight was a great fight too and he showed he could take a punch like in most of his fights and get you outta there if he needs to in a close fight

Magnifique combat
Who is here after Joshua despatched kubrat and looking forward to AJ vs Fury??
i either remember that 1st Ruiz fight 😁
Me
Lame
“Looking forward” is an understatement. Joshua vs Fury is easily one of the greatest HW matchups in all of boxing history. Two ATG-level heavies, and arguably the two best *superheavies* we’ve seen yet, both at their absolute peaks, for the undisputed and lineal unified championship. That’s special.
@@kirklandau2826 yea I heard ray Charles somewhere looking forward to it too
Its beautiful to see a real skilled boxer. It brings back honor to the sport we're the money makers just put up cartoon thrashers to feed the frenzy.
It's like watching a young super middleweight win against an old welterweight.

The extended walkout theatrics in boxing are a bit much, just in general. But tbf, if it suits anybody, it’s certainly great HW boxers like these, especially Joshua
поветкин выглядит как сильно потрепанная боксерская груша.....

Sweet caroline.. Never know I hated this song until I've started watching AJ highlights..
IT IS A GREAT FIGHT BOAT OF THEM
AJ needs to stop crouching and entering his opponent’s range. Jesus.
He got burned with that by Ruiz Jr., in the second fight he improved with that, lets hope he can continue to stay like that.
@Jesus Pernia agreed. But he looked just like Klitschko out there. That style made Wladimir dominate. Hopefully he can continue that way.
@Jesus Pernia Pulev looked bad because AJ made him look bad. AJ controlled the whole fight with his jab and sharp counters.
@Jesus Pernia he did not fight bad, let’s put u in front of him and see if he really fights bad
He needs to learn that Tyson Fury head movement

Who's here after Povetkin KO'd Whyte?
Povetkin was so much better here, looked like a tired old man against whyte and still knocked him out. Whytes too clumsy
+Jesse Snowden Yes, Povetkin was clearly significantly better here. Still pretty impressive by Whyte to destroy even an older Povetkin that dominantly
Once Wilder saw this fight, he made sure that Joshua was on his own for April 13th 😅
Great come out!!
I watched some of this fight the day before Joshua fought Ruiz. After the first round it was clear that Ruiz had a real chance. Joshua gets hit too easily. I was sure Ruiz's handspeed would give Joshua problems and give Ruiz the victory.
I see why povetin get knock out by joshua he changed stands to south paw in 7th round and start to throw right hooks and leave left hand is down and get hit with clean right hand by joshua...
Magnifique technique de joshua

What is the song's title
👍👍👍!
Was it Usyk in the audience at 50:40?
Yep
AJ always holding the back of the head before throwing an uppercut. Seen him do it in many fights. I’m confused, I’ve see other fighters in different fights hold the back of the head and the ref shuts it down quick. Is it illegal or not? Or does it depend on the ref?
Aj holds the head then releases it then throw the uppercut. It's not illegal
AJ is so humble

Povetkin has a sneaky sneaky uppercut and throws the left hook at hard to defend angles. A very tricky fighter for sure. He knows how to use his smaller size to his advantage against bigger fighters.
