Not surprised. When I was a child my best friend was Chi Chi, a Samoyed, and her best friend was a Begeal named KB. One day KB came over and asked (NOT KIDDING, she'd knock on our glass door then run down the deck stairs towards Chi Chi's condo (a two-house kennel where she lived with her husband Prince. I married them when I was about five years old) and they would race off for adventures. One day KB came back without a Chi Chi and INSISTED we follow her so my Dad and I followed KB to the backside of a house in the junkyard and showed us that my Chi Chi was stuck under the house and the German Shepherd that guarded the house was trying to attack her. If KB hadn't come back to the house and lead us to Chi Chi should could have been killed by the shepherd.

You skinned it at least before you burried it right? Would have been a waste of good fur. Also it's meat could feed the dogs for a while. I bet you are experienced in this already.
