As far as stock switches go, this is definitely up there if you're a big fan of smoothness and a lower pitched sound, plus the price is honestly so enticing for what you're getting.
Particularly if you're a backlight enjoyer, these switches are a must-have.
Thanks to WS for sending these out!
Babe wake up, misfire uploaded 🔥🔥🔥

I love me some smooth long pole linears, and the lower pitched sound is a cherry on top! Definitely using these in a RGB focused build soon.
Nice review, love these switches, have them in both my main boards!
just call yourself fire cuz you never miss 💯
Yoooo awesome review bro!
I love these switches! They sound nice and feel so good!
I really like the Oil King switches. It's my second linear switches I've tried so far. My first being the Tealios V2's. Oil Kings are MUCH smoother than the Tealios and have much less wobble. Ordered some WS Morandi to try and compare in sound. Wanting a more thock sound over clacky but my main keyboard uses a steel plate and I think I'd need to upgrade to POM or something.
Which do you think is better? The oil king or morandi?
@theonlyzohaib I like the sound of the Morandi but it's not remotely as smooth as the Oil Kings out of the box. I had to lube them but they still aren't as smooth. A lot of wobble as well, more than my Tealios V2's.
@@EvilWifflesEXACTLY, I don’t know why everyone is saying Morandi is better than the oil kings when it comes to smoothness, I felt the morandi were horrible out of the box and even after lubing they weren’t close to the oil kings. I thought I was crazy.
@theonlyzohaib Yeah, Oil Kings are definitely better on smoothness. Morandi's aren't terrible but I guess people prioritize sound over smoothness. Morandi's also have a shorter travel. I use both right now.
I got the WS Morandi's to go with the Meletrix Zoom98 keyboard I ordered in October. I was debating if I should lube them but it sounds like that's not necessary. Did you notice any tactile difference between lubed and non lubed? I think the morandis are factory lubed. This is my first keyboard build. I was using a 20+ year old Steelseries Shift keyboard until I spilled a beer on it last month and bought a Logitech mechanical keyboard to replace it. I was amazed at the difference and decided to try building a keyboard. Not sure why I waited so long to upgrade my keyboard I upgrade my Linux and Windows PC's regularly. Thanks for the video.
I think the switches feel the same factory lubed vs hand lubed. If you're not used to lube switches you won't notice a difference at all! I think you made great choices, these are good out of the box especially with that keyboard
literally no difference between fl and hl! amazing!
I just bought these switches and I'm super excited to use them. Tbh I'm happy they sound great stock cause I lubed switches once and don't wanna do it again haha.
How were the switches in the end?
Would these be the best switches waiting for my zoom75 this will be my first keyboard I don’t have the tools 2 lube then would they be fine unlubed
Yup good choice
I need quiet switches but im really not trying to go for silents. Would you say these would work?
I would try their new switches, the WS Jades. Video coming out in the next few days!
How are these compared to the oil kings
I slightly prefer the oil kings but honestly they're quite different in terms of sound
these or akko cs piano
Do they have interference with cherry profile caps in north facing mount?
thats more of a keycap than switch issue, but In theory yes. however since they're long pole switches with less actuation, its unlikely you'll notice.
I realize this is an old post, but with my ROG Azoth and a set of cherry style switches from Goblintech I have no interference. I did with the stock switches.
Is it better than the gateron baby racoons?
Yes imo
Another review 😱😱
can these be used with a north facing board?
yes they can!
lol lube and no lube the same sound, this switch very good :v
thoughts on these stock compared to akko cream yellow?
Greatly prefer these
comparing with inks how these fair?
Entirely different switches in almost every way, but I think inks take it overall. A good set of inks is one of the best switches you can get.
thoughts on these vs the Gateron Milky Yellow Pro?
I prefer these
It's the difference between white bread and grilled cheese This has a loud and satisfying bottoms out sound The upstroke is also kinda aggressive
@@MisfireKBme too
any north facing interference?
