I love how they make a horror esque map but accidentally make a lore accurate map. The world of 2042 is supposed to be post-apocalyptic, gritty, broken and dirty. Finally a map that actually makes you feel those things. Plus a map with traditional lanes and flanking routes! This is more of what this game needs, thank you!

I also remember that only a relatively small portion of the playberbase was actually willing to shell out $15 for 4 maps and a bunch of weapons. The DLC servers would be ghost towns within a month of launching especially the later ones as more players naturally move on from the game over time. I wish we got more maps too, but the disaster that was the launch of 2042 effectively killed whatever the original live service plans were. The sheer number of bugs, missing/underwhelming features, and lack of coherent design choices forced to DICE to essentially redevelope 2042 post launch.

Honestly looks like one of the more recent better season releases. The reclaimed season was alright, i do appreciate having a snow map with more infantry focused fighting. But this map looks to be one of the best. Finally an infantry focused map where flashlights, lasers, and thermal can flourish. Plus it looks like a map that you can use the 880MCS and not be instantly destroyed because you were crossing a large open space with no cover.

This map actually looks VERY impressive. Reclaimed was a bit underwhelming, but this one seems very unique. Locker esque layout aside, it's a very unique looking map.
Reminds me a lot of the subway station in battlefield v but modern
Also seems to be lots of different areas. Deep forest on the outside, locker style interior and some interesting corridors like the one with the zipline
Love that ot's Locker-esque, but I still want Operation Locker and Operation Metro 2014 added to Portal. There is no substitutes for those classic maps with their many choke points.

Trailer team always does a fantastic job as ususal. Some good improvements coming with season 6 also but we will see how it all plays. If the rumors about the map layout looking like BF4 lockers than it will be interesting to see how it plays in Battlefield 2042.

For those who don’t know, with the Season 6 update they fix the broken recoil in this game. This is the most important fix ever for this game, you should definitely try out the game after the update!

I love how they make a horror esque map but accidentally make a lore accurate map. The world of 2042 is supposed to be post-apocalyptic, gritty, broken and dirty. Finally a map that actually makes you feel those things. Plus a map with traditional lanes and flanking routes! This is more of what this game needs, thank you!

The great sandbagging of launch maps was silly. But this is what we could have gotten if they didn't launch the game year and a half prematurely.

I’m invested with the Season 6 theme and new CQC map environment. New weapons seem interesting too.
2 years later I decided to give it a try and I must admit it has almost that "BF3 special game feeling to it" like we got back in 2011.
i dont doubt the game will be fun but i do miss the more down to earth atmosphere of 4 and 3

Yall needa add a destruction update to where sky scrapers are collapsable like on hourglass and kalidascope and mabey on orbital the rocket could go off course if you damage a certain part of the rocket and it hits the big building in the middle of the map and it collapses making the objective more difficult

I must say that keeping the juice alive is to be applauded, however, waiting so long to release a single map for each season is very sad, I still remember when a DLC was released with a map pack.
Agreed, hate to say it but if they wanna keep the game alive they should at least make 2-3 more specialists. I know people don't like them but it will at least keep the game alive a little bit
I also remember that only a relatively small portion of the playberbase was actually willing to shell out $15 for 4 maps and a bunch of weapons. The DLC servers would be ghost towns within a month of launching especially the later ones as more players naturally move on from the game over time. I wish we got more maps too, but the disaster that was the launch of 2042 effectively killed whatever the original live service plans were. The sheer number of bugs, missing/underwhelming features, and lack of coherent design choices forced to DICE to essentially redevelope 2042 post launch.

Honestly looks like one of the more recent better season releases. The reclaimed season was alright, i do appreciate having a snow map with more infantry focused fighting. But this map looks to be one of the best. Finally an infantry focused map where flashlights, lasers, and thermal can flourish. Plus it looks like a map that you can use the 880MCS and not be instantly destroyed because you were crossing a large open space with no cover.
