I met the band Kiss Infront of a restaurant in Shoreline Village back in 1991. They were doing a private meet and greet that was sponsored by a local radio station there before the concert they played at the Long Beach sports arena, (that big round building with the pictures of the Orcas painted on it)!
Wow!!!! Very cool! It was a really neat area and they were setting up for some sort of car race so they had bleachers and all this fencing alongside the roads.
@@FlyGal737 That's the Long Beach Grand Prix, they have that every spring. It's a very popular in Long Beach. I knew someone many years ago who worked in one of the high rise's office buildings there, he said his boss use to open the office for the employees on the weekend of the race so they could watch from high up!

I kinda miss living in Long Beach and LA in general. Just to the right of the Queen Mary, You will find the Catalina Cruise Terminal that you can take to Catalina Island. Theres 2 Catalina Terminals around that area...one is for the High Speed boat, and the other is for the slow speed boat. High Speed takes about an hour, and the slower one takes around 2 i think. In the late spring through the summer time. If you get a hotel near the LB Airport. You can actually take a shuttle bus to the Hollywood Bowl from Lakewood Mall, which is about 2 miles north of LB airport. Almost every weekend, they have all sorts of concerts and whatnot... it's really cool.
I really wanted to go to Catalina Island. My husband was going to come with me to Long Beach but it just didn’t work out. I loved the area we went where we were able to have lunch. I just wish our hotel was closer lol it’s right next to Compton, which may get a bad wrap I don’t know there’s certain areas of each city that are good and bad 👍🤣
The Queen Mary is a nice museum/attraction to check out. Please avoid the lady who will try to get you to buy a timeshare in exchange for a bottle of water...yes she exists 🤣🤣🤦🏻♂️ Cruise- regular Long Beach harbor cruise or whale watching would be awesome 😁🐋🐳

That is crazy there is a ceiling to the pay for being loyal to the company. That rule is strange. I hope your back issue is a short term one and you won’t suffer from it again.
After 23 years they add I think $1.50 to their “hourly rate “but it is weird and my back is much better thank you!!
Delta did 100% maternity leave in addition to baby bonding last year. I just had a baby and it was a blessing to get 100% of my pay for that first 6 weeks.

Good Question. I don’t have a hotel recommendation unfortunately I’m trying to think of where we stayed last time. We had a cruise and I cannot remember. But I am so happy you’re flying in the day before.😇😇
This is a pretty random question, but what kind of water do you drink that comes in cans?
It’s the water from our planes the brand is Deja Blue. You can buy it in bottles, but I believe the manufacturer puts it in canned specifically and only for us. It’s just so all of our beverages are a uniform size. I honestly think that’s a great question. 👍👍👍
