Hugh Jackman returns to The Late Show with a tongue-in-cheek plea to Oscars voters to overlook Ryan Reynolds in the Best Original Song category. Stick around for two more segments with Hugh Jackman and check out his film, “The Son,” when it opens in theaters this Friday.

    • I didn't actually interact with him but when I worked at Surrender Nightclub in Vegas years ago Hugh was passing through the entryway where people line up to get in and most celebrities aren't trying to sit around and wait to get through the madness and request they be escorted through. Hugh was so nice to the staff and waited like any regular person to pass by the club entrance and it really humanized him to me. I don't know a lot about the guy but he was patient and treated people with respect and that was great to see.

Hugh has a team of people that he’s worked with for years to get him in Wolverine shape from trainers, to physiotherapists and a nutritionist and chef. That’s why when he stopped playing Wolverine he went back to his normal body shape which is naturally lean and slim and it’s also why it takes such hard work for him to bulk back up again. Unlike an average person he doesn’t have to resort to drugs as he’s lucky that the studio provides him with a team of training specialists.

There was a moment during the second act where Hugh broke character and started laughing uncontrollably because Sutton's character physically pushed him back a little too hard. They both broke out into laughter and the audience laughed with them. That's the fun thing about live shows; you never know what could happen but everyone is there for the ride. • One of the few guests to greet the (best late night show, IMO) band during his intro, I always cringe when performers, especially musicians, blow off the band during their entrance. Good show Hugh!

  • It really is hard to go wrong with coffee, it's just a fantastic flavour when you do it right. When you're going hard, it really is hard to maintain your weight, at work it's not unheard of to burn over 2k calories in a reasonably long day, staying hydrated is hard but forcing yourself to eat that much isn't fun at all. I've also had a ~54 inch waist at one point, I can definitely gain weight, but activity plays a huge role in this, because I've also (after having that 54 in waist) fit in 32/36 501s. My chest was more than a foot bigger than my waist then, I looked pretty odd tbh, at my present weight I look more average, especially if I wear somewhat baggy clothes.
