  • He was so cute back then. His stage presence and charisma has grown off the charts since then. But Dimash only does exactly what the song requires. Obviously with this being a contest he had to pull out all the stops with every performance, my personal preferences run to where we get to hear the beautiful tone of his voice without the vocal acrobatics.

  • "Ave Maria" (New composition by Igor Krutoy), "Stranger" (also composed by Igor), and the new record holder for the most expensive MV of all time at $7+ million and composed over last 3 years by Dimash plus he wrote the script for MV, "The Story of One Sky" are must watch performances. Of course, my fave "Ikanaide," at Tokyo Jazz Festival is absolutely a top notch performance in breath control and a must watch as well.

  • This was the second performance in The Singer competition where his father was in the audience. However, Dimash knew nothing about it when he performed. You have to imagine, until this competition in China in 2017 he never was alone. As far as I know, he lived in one house with the whole family, grandparents, parents and a sister and brother. And now he had to go to China alone, didn‘t know the country, didn‘t know the language and up until then he (almost) didn’t speak any English, except maybe „Thank you“ and „My name is Dimash“. Only one interpreter came along and that at the age of 22. He was almost a kid to me then (my son is 19 so I can imagine…) And after that performance he saw his dad. Indescribably beautyful and emotional. During the Opera 2 performance, he flirted with the audience in a way that wasn’t really his style at the time (fortunately that has changed in the meantime). And afterwards he said that he was really uncomfortable that his father saw him like that 🤭. Luckily he didn’t find out until afterwards because I love it when he’s like that on stage🥰. Maybe you want to see it in private. Opera2: kzhead.info/sun/dbSRhNeMqWZ4qn0/bejne.html I’m glad you discovered Dimash and I hope you continue to respond to videos of him. You are just at the beginning and you will discover so many completely different and incredible songs yet if you are willing to continue on this emotional ride. Greetings from a German Dear 👋❤️

  • Hi thanks for your nice reaction. Dimash is without any doubt the best vocalist of the history, not only because his insane range but also because of his powerful stage presence, his ability to sing every genres, and his amazing ability to connect with the audience. He has been training for more than 20 years and said in an interview that he works at least 3h a day. Of course he was gifted but he is also a perfectionist and a hard worker. But probably the most important point, he absolutely adores what he does: what matters for him is not money but his art. He refuses contract with major worldwide music compagnies able to become number 1 on the international scene because he wants to remain free. He becomes a mega star only thanks to his fabulous talent... and has fan clubs all around the world, working hard to make his performances known in their country. You still have a long journey with him: Olimpico (operatic), Screaming Idol hit (rock), ballad (Love is like a dream), Stranger (written especially for him by very famous Ukrainian-Russian composer Igor Krutoy), Ave Maria (also written by Krutoy for him), Hello (an incredible cover of L. Richie song), Samaltau 2021 (Kazakh folk song), and his absolute masterpiece, his latest music video, The Story of One Sky of course. Just subscribed to your channel, impatient to watch more reaction to this immense artist I love so much for his talent but also for his extraordinary personality: he is a game changer in the music world but even beyond, because his message to the world is more than ever a necessity, and we must support an artist who has the ability and the will to transcend all boundaries, cultures and religions and call for peace, respect and tolerance all around the world.

  • If you want to stay in the Singer competition I recommend Autumn Strong. This was the first song he sang in Mandarin. He was so grateful to his Chinese audience for welcoming him so warmly that he wanted to say thank you in this way. He only had a week to learn the lyrics and the correct pronunciation. That was very important to him. A really tough job. From the reaction of the audience you can see that he has mastered it with flying colors. Many Chinese reactors also said that his pronunciation was almost perfect. The song is very emotional and I recommend to take the link on Gloria Wu’s channel as it shows the background story. Autumn Strong is a song he always sings in his concerts. Every time it is a very emotional moment. kzhead.info/sun/ebyKZZyNZHeal58/bejne.html It's from the Gloria Wu channel with the story behind. The stories there are very, very interesting and I always advice these to watch. Especially with Daybreak. Hopefully you'll remember this when you come to Daybreak.

    • Use G Wu's channel for Diadidua from The Singer 2017. Might want want to check out the original as Russian superstar Vitas sings it. Personally, I like Dimash's version better. His sounds like a Russian folk song, hence the costume which is a take-off of a Russian peasant's greatcoat. He is also singing in Russian.

  • Here`s the video of Opera 2, where at the end, he reunites with his dad, and also asks his dad several times "Did I sing well ?" : kzhead.info/sun/dbSRhNeMqWZ4qn0/bejne.html (turn CC on, it`s a sweet video, his dad came from Kazakhstan to support him during "The Singer" show, but didn`t tell Dimash till after the Opera 2 performance, when he showed himself, coming out of the audience ; the video shows the heartwarming reunion, and a very sweet Dimash, only 22 back then, homesick, and asking his father if his singing was good :)) In a later interview he also said that if he had known that his dad was in the audience, he wouldn`t have been so "cheeky" with the performance :)) Sweetest kid :))) /// In this cover, Dimash went higher 3 more times than the original singer. Dimash has had a wide vocal range since he was young, from a nice low, to soprano. He exercised his soprano range with soprano arias while studying at the university, but mostly on his own, in secret, as his teacher didn`t specifically encourage it, as it`s not quite customary. Dimash`s official training was in the tenor range. Dimash`s mother is a soprano, and his father is a kazakh singer and producer. I believe that his mother being a soprano played a part in Dimash`s gift, not only genetically, but more importantly maybe, by captivating Dimash`s interest in the higher range. I think that a very big part in Dimash`s ability to access the entire range, from bass to soprano, apart from the anatomical aspect, was played by his interest in using (hence exercising) the entire range, for richness in expression. And this "freedom of thought" and appetite for tools for expression are what brought him to where he is vocally. A vocal coach on youtube also said that, in his opinion, it seems that "Dimash never forced any segment of the range, so he remained free in all". It sounded pretty interesting.

  • Great, this is Dimashs cover of a Vitas classic. Vitas, a Russian singer is known as 'the Human Violin' for his piercing high notes, and cockyness! Except Dimash took it two levels higher than vitas did, and vitas didn't do it live. He vitas also did not add the staccato either! This song is about a man who has built his house but the winds howls through his door and windows, thus the high whistling winds type of notes in it. 💞🦌

Episode 2 :'Opera 2' in Russian! The best moment in this show was just after Dimash started thanking everyone and saw his father there. He didn’t know he was there. Just after they got out of that room Dimash turns to his father and asks if he did good! When Dimash was gonna go in to the other contestants he again turned to his father and asked him if he done good! That’s the kind of man he is humble, loving and respectful. kzhead.info/sun/m7Sjdbmnh5ljlJ8/bejne.html Episode 3 : 'The Show Must Go On' In English You have never heard it like this! kzhead.info/sun/ZbRxgd2vqoSIrYk/bejne.html Episode 4 : 'Late Autumn' In Mandarin!!! Gloria Wu's channel has back-story on what the song is about. kzhead.info/sun/eMOEeteGapltmHk/bejne.html Episode 5 : 'Uptown Funk' In English. Not his best but I love this song and his attempt on a fast song with lots of energy. kzhead.info/sun/d6aQj66uoauci6s/bejne.html Episode 6 : 'Adagio' In English and also playing piano kzhead.info/sun/lpSLcbWxsGJugqs/bejne.html Episode 7 : 'Daididau' In Kazakh and some parts in Chinese. He also plays Dumbra. kzhead.info/sun/iMqjYKlujKqBlGg/bejne.html Episode 8 : 'Daybreak' (Tiān liàng le- Han Hong original artist and writing it!) In Chinese! This is the one reaction I think you should do from 2 different versions do to following... Gloria Wu's channel has the back-story about the song that is so sad and from a life story about a boy losing his parents in an awful way. Also you get to hear how Dimash sounds like then loosing his voice the day of the show!!! When he went on he didn’t know if he could sing. Looking close at the other contestants they where so worried about him. He lost his voice again after. Li Jian another contestant bought him a very very expensive Chinese medication for him so he could get better soon! kzhead.info/sun/qLyAdpuunnePfqM/bejne.html The other one is from his own show in Bastau the same year. Hear you can see what he can do with the song. Fun to know which you like more. kzhead.info/sun/Zc-ThK6ig6F6aWw/bejne.html Episode 9 : 'All by Myself' In English and you haven’t heard it like this! Wait to the end for some extra fun! kzhead.info/sun/i9NqXdash5uKZas/bejne.html Episode 10 : 'Unforgettable Day' In Kazakh and I think some translation in Chinese to. If I remember correct he wrote the music to this one when he was 19 years old and lyrics by Oral-kosai Baisengir, who was a poet/lyricist father of a friend of Dimash. Also in this show another contestant "Terry Lin" that was about 51 years young here he considered Dimash a dear friend at this point. But Dimash started telling them al he was his father around episode 9 I think!! That is a big respect and love from his part of the world to call him! Terry was gladly accepting it. They are still that close and also invites each other to there concerts and sometimes singing this song in duet to. They sang it in Jackie Chang movie festival in 2019 and Jackie was choked in how good they were. Terry was known as an alien before Dimash and they have similar vocals to. kzhead.info/sun/iqWxYtCMinRng4E/bejne.html From the concert in GAKKU you will be stund!! He sings it a bit different to say the least!!! Would be fun see what you think of that one too. Dimash Qudaibergen - Unforgettible day GAKKU kzhead.info/sun/qJlriKiho5hsZXA/bejne.html Episode 11 : (did not participate) He was already a finalist. • You are incidentally watching Dimash in the exact same order I was introduced to him! I'd really suggest Ikanaide from 2021 which is a very slow, soft song that really shows off his breathy voice, and DIVA DANCE - Dimash Kudaibergen ( The world best singer ) which shows off the fact that he is indeed a siren. Lastly, I'd suggest Stranger, because it has so many moments of "how!"

  • Part 1: Welcome! Who is Dimash Qudaibergen? (pronounced: Dee-mahsh Koo-deye-bear-ghen) Dimash Qudaibergen was born on May 24, 1994, in Aktobe, Kazakhstan into musical royalty. Height: 1.91m; 6' 3'. Dimash is a singer, composer, actor, multi-instrumentalist, video director, scriptwriter and entrepreneur. Dimash Qudaibergen was very fortunate to be born into musical 'royalty'. The grandfather was a professional dombra player, his grandmother was a teacher and sang. His mother Svetlana Aitbayeva has a classical education. His father, Kanat Aitbayev, is also a singer, songwriter and producer. The two are well-known throughout the country and have been awarded the title of Honored Music Artist of Kazakhstan. Both have been seen on the big stages and on television in Kazakhstan for many years, often together. Listen: kzhead.info/sun/o5tqn9hprISQf4k/bejne.html According to Kazakh tradition, Dimash was raised by his grandparents (Mama and Papa) and for a long time he kept his parents as his brother ans sister in law. They all live together in one house. Dimash said: “Open my heart, you will find music. If you open my brain you will find music. Music is my life." Dimash wasn't a child prodigy, but he always wanted to be a musician and he grew up surrounded by music. As a young boy (3 years old) he often sat in the audience at his parents' performances and ran onto the stage when they bowed at the end and he did the same. While other children drew cars or princesses, Dimash drew a music studio and the instruments. * Dimash kid interview for local studio 2006 - kzhead.info/sun/n7ijeLuXgHqKhoU/bejne.html In his childhood Dimash trained Taekwondo. He achieves his enormous lung capacity through targeted swimming and diving training, he dribbles very well with a soccer ball - kzhead.info/sun/ntiYnNOjhoyCiq8/bejne.html and even takes additional dance lessons for his Dears. Dimash's role models are Lara Fabian, Pavarotti, Igor Krutoy, Andrea Bocelli, Celin Dion, Queen and very important Michael Jackson. He has been training in music since he was 5 years old, has a perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in piano, classical/opera, contemporary music, pop and jazz with a major in vocal. Dimash also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition. He graduated with honors’. He has composed 13 of his own songs so far and is currently working on his doctorate. We have to call him soon Dr. Phil Dimash Qudaibergen. 😃 Dimash did not fit the traditional image of a singer in Kazakhstan and was criticized. Even his voice teacher forbade him to sing in falsetto (Interview with his first voice teacher - kzhead.info/sun/iZuhm8eDkHOkm58/bejne.html ... but he was not deterred, won national and international competitions. In 2016, Dimash turned down the offer of the National Opera in Astana because he wanted to go his own way ... He created his own genre: neoclassical combined with classical, folklore and other styles such as pop, rock, R&B and jazz. We laypeople say 'Popera'. 😃 Dimash is independent and has full artistic control over himself. He founded his own company named DimashAli. In 2017, Dimash surprised everyone in China. His first album sold out in 37 seconds and triple platinum in under an hour. He opened the eyes of his critical compatriots. Today Dimash is a 'cultural ambassador' for his country and a 'national treasure' (not an official title). He himself is a proud Kazakh and patriot. Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in his family. He speaks Kazakh (mother tongue) and Russian without accent (second language in Kazakhstan), is learning English and Mandarin. He says dancing and Mandarin are difficult for him. So far, he sings in 13 languages, trains his voice for 3 hours every day... but Dimash said: "You don't need to know how hard I've worked, you just need to enjoy the results". Experts consider Dimash to be a lyrical baritone with a typically long range. Some believe that he does not sing his high notes as a countertenor but as a natural soprano. He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, contralto, soprano. His current range so far is G0 - D8 (out of piano)! Video about his vocal range: kzhead.info/sun/atGoj7GCmXmJna8/bejne.html At least, that show us Dimash. 😃

  • You did it again! - You gotta watch to the end. Dimash didn't know his dad had flown from Kazakhstan to be in the audience for this performance and the look on his face when he spots him is priceless. What is even more stunning is as they walk off together he asks his father - twice - 'Did I sing well?' !!! This is a the Russian Singer; Vitas' song - & Vitas was EXTREMELY pissed when he saw this performance. The story was that the Singer shows producers hadn't sought copyright permissions, but most believe it was also because Dimash made it thoroughly his own, and took it 2 levels higher. 🤣 Allegedly, Vitas did a serious dummy spit and declared that "Dimash would NEVER receive his permission to sing ANY of his sings EVER again!" { 'So There!' } Which, if true, to my mind was pretty short sighted of him. Dimash is always enormously respectful of other artists and this could have been an opportunity for Vitas to revitalise his career and perhaps even do some collaborations together. He certainly would have gotten a heap of free hits on his own KZhead, as so many went after hearing this to check the original.

  • I’m loving your reactions to Dimash! Please don’t stop! Btw, none of the Singer programme videos is on Dimash’s own YT channel (for copyright reasons, I think), but if you search for Singer 2017 with English subtitles, you should find the episodes OK. The theme of that year’s series was ‘Covers’ and the contestants could only perform one of their own songs, so you’ll have to wait until Episode 10, where he sang his own composition, Unforgettable Day: kzhead.info/sun/iqWxYtCMinRng4E/bejne.html. Most of the rest of his performances are on his own channel and have subtitles available (CC). It would be good to support him with views there, as he’s an independent artist ...

  • Since he keeps progressing, it might be good to take note of the dates of the performances. You might not be as impressed by these Singer 2017 performances if you are comparing them to those he has done more recently, rather than to other people. If you have the time, it might be worth checking out more of the 2017 performances first. "Sinful Passion" was from 2018, and by then his lower range had improved, and that has continued.

  • Part 2: Dimash's 'heavenly' vocal abilities, from bass to coloratura soprano, are not just limited to the tremendous range of over seven octaves and mixing of all musical genres, but it is the incredible command of his instrument, his voice and the emotional touch of people ... that brings us back again and again fascinates and surprises and again ... Such an assortment is a very rare gift and can only be achieved, maintained and perfected through tireless and never-ending training. Dimash cannot be pigeonholed. Dimash wasn't a prodigy, but he always wanted to be a musician. Dimash doesn't drink alcohol and of course he doesn't smoke, he doesn't drink ice drinks and he doesn't like socks. He love fire and water on stage, as a set of course. 🤣 A Dear gave him knee pads, but he says he's so deep into his songs that he doesn't feel any pain. 😃 Dimash looks good, is one of the 100 most beautiful men in the world and a globally sought-after model. Dimash is humble, kind, generous, respectful, reserved and very, very hardworking. He donates a lot of time and money to charity, supports people in need and always does so quietly. We only find out because some people feel the need to talk about it. Dimash is a megastar. He has the largest active fan base in the world, 10 million in clubs in 142 countries (documented). Dimash calls us 'Dears' because we are as important and dear to him as his own family. The fan clubs are not like those of other artists. They don't just cheer on Dimash. They return Dimash's love and emulate him. They maintain good manners and, above all, help people who are not doing well or they are committed to the environment. Dears want to do their part to make the world a better place. This connects Dimash and his Dears around the world. Go on the journey. He will surprise you every time, touch your heart, feed your soul or push you off your chair. Tissues are always recommended, also for metal heads! Be careful and hold on tight when Dimash takes out the left earbud! Get to know Dimash, his singing, his diversity, his development, his human size, his humility, his love for his Dears ( that's what Dimash calls his fans - they are just as dear to him as his family - and that's many millions of women and men aged 9 to 90 all over the world). What can he not do? Oops, he can't cook! 😃 Did I forgot something? Oh yes! He sings all the time, all day! He sings because he has to, it's his life and whenever he sings he lets us look into his heart and feel his soul. Please, NEVER react to the videos from The World's Best! For TV viewers, the songs are terribly mutilated and cut together. Most Dears boycott the videos, because: Dimash left the show before the finale because adults in his culture don't compete with children. The organizers lied to him when the contract was signed and they later humiliated him. Eyewitnesses here: kzhead.info/sun/i7Wgc656pYSsiaM/bejne.html On September 13, 2022, during an official visit of the head of the Catholic Church to Kazakhstan, Pope Franciscus awarded a medal to the world-famous Kazakh Dimash Qudaibergen. «Thanks to Pope Francis for the award. It's a huge honor for us,» Dimash posted. A Dear said: „Dimash deserves to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his tireless promotion of world peace to peoples around the world.“ Everyone can only agree! There are good, great, excellent singers and there is DIMASH! Thank you, all Dears, for your help (www) ❤ Greetings from a Dear from Germany

  • Great Reaction as always and great performance from Dimash as ALWAYS. Dimash is a Master at his Craft and I always have to remind myself that Dimash is not some Messiah born with a 7 Octave Vocal Range, but he achieved it with Years and Years of Vocal Training, which takes a lot of Work and Dedication, a lot of Singers, as soon as they realize that they're great, they stop Training, but even till this Day, Dimash still Trains. After the Performance when he saw his Dad and Greeted him with a Hug, backstage he asked his dad if he did good, that shows that despite knowing how good he is, he still wants to know where he should improve, he himself said that he sees where he messes up, that's not exactly what he said, but it's somewhere along those lines. Next please React to Dimash covering "Autumn Strong", this song is dear to Dimash's Heart and it's a Song based on a true Story about a Japanese-Born Chinese Actress who after the War got scorned by her Chinese Audience and was Deported back to Japan and never to see China Again. There are multiple Videos of Dimash performing this Song, but the one I would like you to React to is the one where he Wears a Black Hat, Black Suit and Black Scarf. I believe at the end of this Specific Video, they showed the Japanese-Born Chinese Actress.
