    • @@ArtWeThereYet I had seen a lot of pictures and videos from Alaska, but I didn't expect something like this ones. Rural people mostly get awesomed by huge buildings, big cities and their huge offer of varieties. City ones find beauty into place with no human signs. However, no matter wherever you are, that's awesome. But you know. Moving into Canada or USA means a lot of money for lawyers to apply for a visa and later for the residence. And with no guarantee you will be accepted, get a job or a way to make a living. For young people is certainly an opportunity. But for middle aged..... But they are great countries. No one is going to say no if needed to be there while the person can enjoy the things that make him happy from time to time.🏔️🏞️🎣📷 And for the record, I got totally exhausted of Instagram. Too much adds and reels of people doing things I never wanted to see. So I have accepted notifications of the closest, but for an unknown time I am not going to be active on this social network.

That has a state park sign as soon as we enter the area. Is there a permit we can get? I’d love to fly a drone there someday.

So this is from pilotinstitute.com Chugach State Park Alaska State Regulations prohibit the use of aircraft for the purpose of practice landing within Chugach State Park. However, this law does not explicitly prohibit the use of drones in the park as long as you avoid the restricted actions. Similar rules apply to other state parks in Alaska.

Keep the videos coming. 😊 Please be careful on the side roads, I don’t want you getting stuck. And you should have covered the bus, the weight and exposure of the snow may damage the solar panels and roof.

    @BreakTime10101@BreakTime1010110 ай бұрын
    • Hi there! Happy you're enjoying the videos! The cell service was pretty solid throughout Canada, but we couldn't get proper data service through Canadian cell companies, so we used the international plan on our cellphones and then invested in Starlink, which gave us amazing internet. Cell service drops out on the Alcan except when you're in towns. So far the cell service (verizon at least) in Alaska has been pretty good! In the winter it was faster, but now in the tourist season it seems to slow down a bit, which makes sense with all the extra people pulling on the towers.

    • Good question Jason! We use iOverlander - it's a free app that shows tons of places to boondock (also paid camping) + dump stations + propane refill. It's based upon user input, and it is fantastic. We can see how recently people have stayed there, what they say about cell service, conditions, if big rigs will fit, etc. It's awesome!! We've used it from the start of our journey (starting in 2019) and it's never failed us.

    • Well there’s no BAD time to visit Alaska, but truthfully our personal favorite time is March. Wintertime but lots of sunshine and clear days. If you want to come in the warmer months, we recommend July as there will be a higher chance of warm, sunny days. September is rainy, so avoid September if you don’t like the rain!

  • I have to ask - why don’t you get a trailer for the car?

    @staceypainter9886@staceypainter988611 ай бұрын
    • Ah-ha, that is the big question! We get that one a lot ☺️ So the car...it's a long story. But basically, it was supposed to die like almost 3 years ago. It was given to us because the mechanic said it might have two days, two weeks, MAYBE two months before it died. BUT...since then...it just keeps running! Every light in the dash is on, nothing works 'properly', yet it just keeps running. We hate driving two vehicles, but a Prius can't be flat-towed, so we would need a dolly for it. The cost, plus the logistics of having a tail added to the bus just isn't worth it for a car that costs less than the tow system (and could really die any minute). We park the bus in some tiiiight spaces, so having a dolly would really be tricky for us. We've considered selling the car for a towable vehicle, but with the cost of used cars right now... Every time we come to a crossroads with the car, we do the math and it's just so much cheaper to drive the Prius (costs barely anything in gas). Every season, we keep thinking the car will die. Who knows, maybe this summer will be it! We hope not! We hope it survives just long enough to get us through our time in Alaska. Then when we head south, we hope we can get a flat-towable jeep. That's the hope! Anyway, that's the long story about Sancho! 🤪🚙
