They clearly don't know what the fuck fan service really is, and even if they did know what it was, it's obvious that they don't know how to handle it. They think if we see something from the game (weather it be a character, like Curian, or an actual shot from the game... *sigh*) then they're doing something to please fans of the games, but it just comes off as lazy, so fucking lazy, and stupid.

    • This was the 'Springtime for Hitler' of video game movies. It was specifically designed to flop. A german tax code said any money put into the production of a movie would be 100% tax free and they would only tax the income the movie made. So make a 12 million dollar movie, only make 10k or so and the rest is pure profit especially if most if goes to paying for the director's salary.

    • Stoic isn't great but it's a fascinating watch. Rampage is pretty bleak while Postal is... funny? It's utterly moronic but it did keep some of the essence of the game. And yeah, Chris should review Bloodrayne, Alone In The Dark and In The Name Of The King. I haven't seen Far Cry but it's probably shit.

  • If you have followed Uwe Boll throughout the years, you will find out that he does not care about the movies or have some artistic vision what so ever. Licensing recognizable videogame-titles and putting together the movie as quickly and cheaply as possible is a way for him to evade tax-laws in germany through holes in the economic system, so he is printing money for himself essentially. It is almost like the movie "the producers" but in real life.

    • the firefox I never thought anything of that line, probably because I was too drunk at the end and this piece of dialogue fits the movie so well that it wasn't out of place in this hilarious piece of garbage entertainment. 😁 I sincerely love this movie, ironically of course but it's so enjoyable! I'd pay money just to have a physical copy, and place it on my shelf with Superman 4 and Green Lantern.

  • So my video froze up at 10:14 and I thought it was just a pause that Chris was doing for the previous thing he mentioned as if he was trying to let that thing sink in. But then after two minutes of just seeing that face I started getting uncomfortable wondering how much skill it takes to keep your face like that without having to blink. Gave me quite a fright ngl and it was kinda perfect within the context. My vid is still frozen btw, I've just been having a staring contest for about 30 minutes now and I think I might actually win, wish me good luck.

  • I remember back when this came out, Kill Bill Vol. 1 had just came out and all of my friends wanted to see House of the Dead instead. I told them if they make me see that film I would no longer be friends with them. We ended up seeing Kill Bill and had a blast. When we left the theater, there was a line of like a dozen people demanding refunds for House of the Dead. Good times.

    • Mang Merciless Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. Took my mom to see it. First they had the ‘Helllo dere! Yowsa!” Minstrel-Bots. I’m pretty thick skinned about that shit but it was so over the top embarrassingly racist I couldn’t believe it. Then when John Turturro was under the Destructicon’s dangling roboballsack I was like “that’s it. I’m done. You can stay if you want. I’ll meet you outside” and my mom says “but what if the ending is good?” And I said “it could be the greatest ending of any movie ever made and it still won’t make up for what we just watched”.

The German government had a program intended to promote a German film making industry that would reimburse the production costs of any movie financed by a local investor. Bol and a bunch of jackasses exploited the program ruthlessly. The program was ended specifically because of Uwe, who was only making the international reputation of German film even worse.
