I'm willing to bet the Clefable and Raichu being on that uncut sheet was due to them originally being used for Prereleases for Base Set and Jungle, despite not having the stamps. I know the Raichu is like the holy grail of Pokemon TCG collecting outside of the Illustrator Pikachu so that would be super-cool to own but uncut sheets are still really nice. Wish they used those as prizing for side-events at Pokemon TCG Regionals sort of how Yugioh does with their uncut Starlight Rare sheets.
@Leonhart - I think the most nostalgic thing in opening these, is to have the childhood feeling over and over again. It's been this feeling to live through the times when you felt what you just felt looking at these cards and collecting them with others as a kid. Especially when you loved the anime in the past. It's just pure enjoyment.
There's something so special and nostalgic about seeing these vintage openings. Absolutely loved the Scyther you pulled! Such a beautiful card.

I always imagined the Zapdos at the Power Plant appearing with the same artwork as the card. It's like Ken Sugimori was recreating the first encounter with Zapdos. Love that card so much

That Zapdos card reminded me of my best friend, when we used to trade and play with Pokemon cards over 20 years ago. Last month my passion got reignited and i started opening packs again, i even found my old card collection! Zapdos was and still is one of my favorite legendaries of all time, and best one of "The Birds". Would love to have that one! Anyways, great video as always, im happy to see you still have a lot of passion towards Pokemon and bringing it all for us to see :)

I just loved the Zapdos card. The backround of black and yellow look phenomenal and the Zapdos adds the effect of a rock fell on it and everybody feared the worst, but then the Zapdos bursts out to everyone's amazement. I would absolutely love to get that card because Zapdos is and has been my favorite Legendary since I started playing the games. In my opinion the original games the gen 1, 2, and 3 have amazing legendaries.
Every vintage opening makes my nose remember the smell of wizards of the coast cards. Unforgettable just like the first time I pulled Scyther, always my fave🎉

I too get nostalgia also when I look at that raunchy art. Maybe I had it when I was younger, a lot of my memories when I was a kid are tucked away in a high shelf where no one can reach somewhere in my brain.

I’ve had Covid for the past week trying to get over it and quarantined and your videos have helped out a lot and gave me a lot of nostalgia. I’m genuinely commenting just a comment as a fan if I get a cool card out of it cool but that’s not the point, but my favorite Cards would be Sutherland Gengar and of course Charizard.
That Scyther just looks amazing. Colors, pose, it has everything going for it. The best thing about these cards is everyone has their own personal favorites -- especially if you take value out of the equation. My personal favorite would be either Poliwrath or Vaporeon holos.

Best BS2 pull for me today was the Raichu, everybody has their own story for why they're here but I came back to this stuff as a means of nostalgia and reconnecting, pulling that Raichu took you back to a real place the same way Pokemon in general does for me, Pikachu's big bro wins it for me 😁
I do think it is insane that you open these packs, but it is also so nice to watch, plus you did get a few great holos, while my fav has to be Ninetales as I just like the Pokémon, plus Zapdos is a close second.

my favorite pokemon of all time is 1000% Scyther. When you pulled one, I was instantly flooded with all my old memories from the first time I found one in blue version, watching the anime. Such a cool feeling. love your videos man. My 5yo daughter loves watching you too. keep up the great content!

Well holy cow, that was awesome. Obviously, I'd have to say that 1st edition Alakazam is the best pull. I love the Scyther too. So many memories in watching you open these packs. Alas, the only card I have left from my childhood was the original promo Mew. I have started collecting again but those old cards were just so special.

I was going to say Zapdos but then you pulled that Scyther!! That one is my fave because I've always liked that artwork and never pulled a Holo one as a kid haha.
It makes a lot of sense that the Raichu next to the clefable would be a pre-release also. That makes tremendous sense to me because I absolutely unequivocally remember seeing a pre-release Raichu in 1999 at my local comic store!!!
