Fleetwood Mac - Dreams from 1977 with lyrics below
LYRICS:
Now here you go again
You say you want your freedom
Well, who am I to keep you down?
It's only right that you should
Play the way you feel it
But listen carefully to the sound
Of your loneliness
Like a heartbeat drives you mad
In the stillness of remembering
What you had
And what you lost...
And what you had...
And what you lost
(Oooooh)
Oh, thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
Say, women...they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean, you'll know
You'll know
Now here I go again, I see, the crystal visions
I keep my visions to myself
It's only me
Who wants to wrap around your dreams and
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?
Dreams of loneliness...
Like a heartbeat drives you mad...
In the stillness of remembering
What you had
And what you lost...
What you had...
Ooh, what you lost
Thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
Women, they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean, you'll know
Oh, thunder only happens when it's raining
Players only love you when they're playing
Say women, they will come and they will go
When the rain washes you clean, you'll know
You'll know
You will know
Oh, oh, oh you'll know

    • *_I was 10, wishing I was 23. LOL And yes, I 100% agree, 'twas a magical time for music! Bro, wasn't life just SO much simpler back then?!_* _Also... if you get a chance, go research which classic/timeless albums debuted in 1977. It'll blow your mind! I heard some rock critic comment a few years ago that the year 1977 was likely the best year in the history of modern music in terms of the sheer volume (no pun intended, LOL) of the plethora of incredible hit-filled albums released by a gaggle of legendary/iconic/timeless rock/pop/R&B bands/singers!_ *_I may be repeating myself somewhat, but he also said there will likely never be another year quite like 1977 in terms of the # of hit songs/albums. I am in 100% agreement. I'm just glad I was lucky enough to have lived it! Later, brother! 👍🏼_*

    • Well, it’s not like a bunch of decades-old songs haven’t been used/played in popular modern films, shows, viral videos, etc, and just pop culture in general. In fact, a number of songs from well-known acts from decades ago have seen a surge in sales/streaming views thanks to those like Skateboard guy, filmmakers, and so on. That said, if only our fathers/grandparents could be more open minded and realize the same thing about a lot of today’s music instead of simply generalizing and labeling everything one thing like THEIR parents did about the music of their youth. (And yes, sadly something like rock music far from dominates the mainstream nowadays, but it does exist and it’s going strong.) But oh, the “back in my day” thing is a never ending cycle. It happens with every generation. Luckily for me, I’m into music that came way before my time (like going back to the beginning of recorded music), I keep up with current music and I’m always searching for new artists, and I look forward to all the different types of music (whether it comes from the deep underground or the high mainstream) that will come decades from now. How’s that for having an open mind? 😉 (And I’m not Gen Z btw.)

      @diegstroX8032@diegstroX80323 жыл бұрын
    • @@diegstroX8032 The problem is that most mainstream music today is awful! Yes, there's good music being made but you have to look for it. "Back in the day" things were more balanced, there was still a lot of trash, but there was also a lot of good stuff being played on radio, tv... Also, genres were a thing, I remember Opera being popular in the 90's for a while, which is crazy to think about now, but now everything just sounds the same, right down to the way they sing their songs.
