For the Pledge of Allegiance thing, we were forced to do it at my elementary and middle school but at my high school it was optional, and one sub yelled at us when most of us didn't say it or even stand for it.

The age thing is so true, the first time that happened to me was when i turned 13, it was such a big deal, i was the oldest of 4 so it felt like i was finally part of the grown ups and not just a little kid anymore cuz i was officially a teenager.

Re moving abroad: there has to be some way for KZheadrs to do it. Quite a few non-Japanese KZheadrs have moved to Japan to make content there and YT is their FT gig.

Also Texas and yeah to me i didnt understand the Pledge as a kid and eventually stop saying it. Also ages you will feel is turning 30 and 40 the big ones really got to me tbh. And school to me never taught us much except states and never really told us how bad slavery was or what happened to the indigenous ppl. They told us but i dont they really got across how evil and disgusting what happened to them was.

I’m 27 and will be 28 in July. I feel like I’m still in my early twenties, 30 seems like such a milestone and I’m scared to be “old” but I still feel and look young so I’m slowly coming to terms with age just being a number at this point😂
