  • Im a die hard Eagles fan and I have to admit, when Jon was traded to the Saints, I was pretty pissed about it. He was a great player and I hated the fact he would be wearing another teams uniform. However, when I found out what happened with him, I was glad the trade had taken place, because it saved his life. But he will always and forever be known as a Philadelphia Eagle! God bless you Jon Dorenbos.

  • Had the same surgery in 2018 at age 41. It was a stroke that saved me. If I never had the stroke they never would have found the enlarged valve. Thank you God for giving Jon and I another chance at life!!!!😁❤

    • As sentimentally sweet as that sounds... hogwash. Getting an Eagles ring can be justified through 12 years of service, but not for the Saints. (If the Saints win and give one to a guy who whiffed on team stretching and then tore his heel a day later, I'll be more than a little pissed.)

      @RonJohn63@RonJohn635 жыл бұрын
    • @@RonJohn63 Dez did not whiff on stretching. He needed more time to build up and become football ready. His injury is more of a coaching error than him trying to compete.

    • @@derrickwright5948 watch the video from the Saints of his first time practicing with the Saints. All the others in the field of view were rigorously stretching. He... wasn't. The guy was supposed to be working out and keeping himself fit all year, ready for when the call came, and then in *practice* -- not a game, but *practice* -- he tears his Achilles tendon. That's all on him for not stretching enough.

  • 6:00 -- Not Part of the team? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, Are you kidding me? You played for the eagles for 14 F**ing Years including the pre-season of that one, and did such a good job that a Draft pick was traded for you.(Rare for a specialist such as a snapper). And Dorenbos also played in their SuperBowl game in 2004 , and the NFC Championships including 2008. I'd say he more than deserved it for his efforts and longevity

THE SAME ONE THAT JON HAD.HE TOLD ME IT WASN'T REAL BAD BUT IF IT GOT ANY WORSE IT WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. SORRY DOC BUT YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME A LITTLE MORE. SINCE I'VE BEEN BACK IN THAILAND I HAVE NOTICED THAT I AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH MY ENERGY LEVEL. I AM ONLY ABLE TO WALK VERY SHORT DISTANCES BEFORE I HAVE TO SIT DOWN. I THOUGHT IT WAS MY LUNGS BECAUSE I'VE HAD PNEUMONIA TWICE THIS YEAR. I THINK I BETTER GET DRESSED AND GO SEE A DOCTOR.

  • Even if you aren’t religious you have to believe that something unknown is out there even if it’s just the “universe”. I mean what are the chances that he looks down and sees a penny on the floor right before going through open heart surgery. That’s surreal .

    • How many times had he looked down in trying circumstances and *not* seen a penny? (This is a kind of cognitive bias known as the availability heuristic.)

      @RonJohn63@RonJohn635 жыл бұрын
    • @@RonJohn63 true, but why were there be a single penny laying on the floor of an elevator? Unless there's some sort of cafeteria or something nearby, the odds are highly improbable

    • @@RonJohn63 actually pennies are one form of currency that people care about the least due to its lack of value and the abundance of such coins, therefore they are more prone to being dropped and not picked back up
