I just can't imagine how hard it has to be, playing at your top level year after year after year, shutting down all doubters and haters, winning trophies, breaking records every weekend and this for 10 years in a row. But then after 1 bad week, 1 bad season people forget who you are and what you did in your career. It has to be so exhausting for ronaldo, being told for past 3 years that he's finished and useless after all that he has done. Playing out your soul every game and knowing that even if you take 1 small break, people are going to lynch you for that small break that you had. never injured, never gave up. This man is a complete cyborg, probably the best and most complete football player that we've ever seen. Those things happen to him because he's Ronaldo. No hate towards Messi but people just "like" Messi more. Every person that has eyes and smallest understanding of this sport can see what an absolute genius Ronaldo is. When he retires, sadly, he won't get the recognition that Messi will get. Just because he is controversial. This man carried every team, season for season on his shoulders without taking a break and being an absolut shield and sponge for his whole squad who was injured, playing bad and probably not even supporting him some times, when they lost or went trophyless. All the blame didn't go to his team but mostly towards him. I mean, come on. What a sick player do you have to be when people are more surprised that you didn't score for one game instead of when you score a hat-trick. He's a legend. He's a leader. This man is a goat.

I love how he gets hate if he dribbles the ball the wrong way once, but Messi is just excused. No hate to either player, love watching them both play, but I do feel like Messi isn't criticized as much as Ronaldo is. It kinda feels like just because Ronaldo has been surrounded in a bit more controversy, fans have decided that no matter how good he is, one misstep and he's immediately washed up. I understand side picking, but the guy is one of the most gifted attacking players in history. He can finish, he has power, he has speed, he's freakishly athletic, strong, long and can jump higher than some NBA players, won everything there is to win in Europe, performs at abnormally high levels going into his 40s and has scored more goals than anyone. EVER. And yes, for those of you wondering, I do think in terms of accolades, skillset, as well as just generally who I think is better, it's Messi, Ronaldo isn't a slouch either. Rather than calling the guy washed for failing to score 980 bloody goals every season, is it really that hard to appreciate the fact that he's gifted us with nearly two decades of magic? It really saddens me to see comments like "camel league," "washed," and everything in between, because here's a guy that's put his whole life into something, succeeded and people still can't acknowledge it and choose to sit where the grass is greener and mock. Who gives a shit where the guy plays, he's still Ronaldo, he's still a generational talent and he's still one of the greatest to lace up. No matter what everyone says, I can't bring myself to hate this guy... there were times that I laughed at him being that persistent over the smallest things but that's just like Cristiano! He's a hard worker and an underratedly genius which can be seen in when he first got into Man U and also RMA (long free kicks were possible for him when best players couldn't even think about it. He was one of the fastest and even is compared to being a 37 year old striker. His shoot power let him score goals from 30 meters length or above which could make at least me excited. His dribbling style was unique which is a more beautiful way of dribbling compared to players who just get past the others with no special style and a simple dribble. He wasn't a midfielder so we couldn't see much passes or crossing from him but he could pass like Ozil who was a perfect midfielder in his prime. Him being a striker means he's also a good finisher specially in the pitch. He can use his weak foot most likely just like his preferred foot and that helped him with scoring goals and also in his passing. He's always worked on his body and got a great physic that helped him in the games. What else do you guys want from a LW/ST? You want him to put the GK's gloves on and go into the goal? He's perfect in my opinion when I consider him being a human who never gave up till the end and he's still trying... as an enjoyer of football I'm always getting chills by him) Y'all better focus on how much someone is capable rather than how much they aren't cause that's the worst way to judge others and not only in football or sports but also in life.
