Lol li auto cars have many more options than a nio including a refrigerator, 3 amoled screens, a large TV with air gestures, superior voice command functions, free ADAS service etc.

For one Travis , you are comparing a true EV NIO to a Hybrid Li Auto. There is no true comparison. I am guessing that you are either shorting NIo or own alot of Tesla stock. Tesla delivery numbers are slightly down In China that is why Tesla in creating a price war. Be honest 🤔
Thanks very much for your comment. Whichever techincal paths they choose, they are the 3 so called "New forces" EV makers in China with their stocks traded in the U.S. stock market. Li Auto is winning from delivery to gross margin to revenue for now. That's a fact. I'm trying to understand the rationals behind it. I'm not shorting NIO, instead I'm still long term holding a few thousand NIO shares, and trading tens of thousands at times. I like NIO as a customer, and I rented a NIO during my stay in China. But blindly pumping NIO stock and neglecting other opinions or facts are no good for us.
Correct , tesla have cut prices and annoyed old customers to so they can dump old stock and also because orders were down 30k June and July, and only cut till end of September... bet they won't advertise the price rise end of September

@@tonygrant3062 No it's not like a hybrid "all other automakers have" it's a range extender so petrol doesn't drive the wheels it powers the motors and China as well as Europe consider these cases as electrified vehicles

@Scott-cc4wl 10 minutes ago (edited) Because they don't give a (care) about the environment? The point of an EV is to reduce carbon emissions, trying to save our planet. Li auto puts themself at the top of an EV insurance registration list, while they're not even an EV producing company yet. Ford, GM, Toyota, Hyundai etc., could easily do the same thing, putting Li auto at the bottom of such a list. It should really be a hybrid list. And, I don't expect that Li auto will have any easy time, when they genuinely try to enter the EV market. They have to overcome barriers of entry, such as an immature supply chain made worse by new comers competing for supply. And there is also the infrastructure barrier of entry, such as charging and battery swap stations, of which Li auto can't hang with NIO. NIO has been making a lot of adjustments in order to over come such barriers, if you haven't noticed. Li auto and their 1.5 ltr. 4 cylinder gasoline motors and 17.5 gallon gas tanks that are bigger than my wife's Honda HRV. You're calling that an EV company? Wake up!

Li auto sells almost 40k units per month and is already making profits. For your information li auto cars are not hybrids, they are range extenders which means the engine doesn't drive the wheels or transmit energy. Instead it only keeps charging the battery if you wanna travel longer. Li auto cars can run up to 200km with battery power alone. that's more than enough for many city travels. You know that many heavy, overweight pure EVs don't help the environment either. Furthermore li auto includes their sales under NEVs which includes pure EVs, PHEVs, EREVs and fuel cell cars. Mainstream automakers also include their PHEV sales into the NEV category.
Do you realize the comparison you are making? Hybrid vs true electric is not really a true comparison, its obvious that charging stations are not nearly as much as gas stations that's a no brainer to figureout, you won't be saying the same in the next 5 years. I live in the US, and I will buy a Nio any day over li auto

Liauto doesn't sell EVs, it sells PHEV.
Medium size fully electric Li would be very nice. ---Nio have crazy marketing & high prices. Xpeng need to stop experimenting & playing with self drive, & helicopters, & get on with building good affordable cars that are NOT crammed with features people DO NOT WANT.
A medium sized pure EV li auto will come in the future. A pure EV MPV from li auto is coming this year. Actually li auto will release 5 pure EV models by 2025. Xpeng will be ok since they got investment from VW and VW owns 5% of xpeng.

NIO is far more superior in quality, BaaS, build, tech etc. li auto for the sheeps that like a bunch of big screens in the car. 😂
Li auto is a lot cheaper to produce hybrid , nio way ahead ... a pure ev , and li auto put the list out every month and put themselves with the evs to make themselves look good , they are selling a product thats way behind but still popular, when they go full ev they will be way behind
It also catches fire , the Nio cars have never had a single charging fire , thats a great track record1
Chinese are smarter. Li is selling to families which are going to sell more cars than single sports sedans (wasted $)

Li auto is a cheap hybrid car that target for low range buyers but many accidents like battery caught fire showed Li auto cars are made of poor quality and poor safety standards. Mid or rich buyers will only buy NIO as a high quality premium pure EV . Remember Li auto is not a pure EV cars but a car with many fancy cars with sofa, Tv and refrigerator that should be staying at home. What happened to Li auto when china cut off hybrid and only pure EV in near futures…. Throw away or just park in carparks.
Your entire decision is based on a 900 mile trip the no average person does on an average day. Most people only drive 20 - 50 miles a day. Li is not EV. Not sure you are an EV person. Who commutes this long on a regular basis. Really confused.
Li auto have had many auto fires while recharging , Nio has not had a single car burn up ! I would chose safety over li negligence in auto fires , even the nio robot Nomi is equipped with a fire sensing equipment so that if the car was to start a fire your phone and your house could warn you ! It,s a total package that comes from Nio House and now the Nio Phone is out that also works with the nomi builtin robot ! Nio also has charging stations so you don't need to charge your car ever on the road , takes about a s long as getting a tank of gas .....now that's fast ! The cars also have all soundproofing silicone joints meaning no road noise or water that can get into the cabin in a flood , totally waterproof if you ever driven through a flood , nio car has no exhaust so with a sealed under carraige you can literally drive through 3 ft of water without getting stuck , can,t say the same for li auto since they do not use the same technology as nio which sets nio apart from the rest ! Don,t get me wrong , i think the EV revolution is great but when it comes to safety ,The nio has 7 lido sensors to cover all bases when travelling from getting into an accident from all sides , Again is,nt your family worth protecting ? Nio started out like tesla and will get to the same tesla status within the next 4 to 5 years as it builds more factories , as of this writing Nio is producing 16,074 vehicles per month with a goal of 20,000 by december 2023 , for 2024 Nio is looking at 40,000 a month in production and i believe they will hit that target !
I think as much as we would all like to love pure EV, it still feels too risky for many, even in the US. Nobody wants to be stranded because they can't charge their car.
