In this episode our patience is tested as we are all packed up and ready to go but factors out of our control are forcing us to wait. So we head out of the city and hang out at nearby Taboga island and make the most of our waiting time.
We go in to great detail about what we will do with all the food we have and what we eat on our boat. Plus we have put together a Free Provisioning Guide which outlines exactly what we brought for this trip, some menu ideas, bonus tips and discount codes to our favourite cookbooks. Click the link above to get a copy.
Hopefully next time we can finally push off!

  • Thanks for the provisioning guide. We just stepped on board our boat this week. Learning is like drinking from a fire hose.

  • Oh, my luvlies, you repeatedly remind me of expressions, nautical proverbs, my gramps told us when we sailed with him back in the 60s. Before setting off from Vancouver for Hong Kong, he said, "Remember boys, the next six to ten weeks will be 95 percent patience interspersed with 5 percent panic!" Telling two 10-yr olds and two 12-yr olds that was akin to you telling Archie to stand still for an hour. 😅

  • To gain more viwes you guys need to work on your thumbnails. And if I remember correctly, KZhead algorithm wants adjectives in the description. I think the most important thing is to get as many adjectives that describe the video in the first 20 words in the description.

    • @@sailingwithsix Make your Thumbnails more colorful, and even if it feels ridiculous, it helps if you have exaggerated facial expressions (click bait). I hate to say it but Tiktok is by far the best way to drive traffic to your KZhead. Tiktok algorithm is not like KZhead, on Tiktok everyone can go viral. Although I'm really against Tiktok, I think it can help your channel. Best of luck 🫶🏻

Easy to prepare on a boat I suppose Your staples of Flour, oats etc are all high carbs but again you’re getting lots of Veges and you’re a pretty active family too. Keep up the sharing of your meals as I find it really interesting! Safe and blessed travels Nick
