ASMR Rug Tufting | Homer Simpson Meme Rug (Start To Finish)
No music, no talking, just making a Homer Simpson meme rug from start to finish!
My 5th rug tufting video - completely underestimated how challenging doing the face detailing on a rug this size would be! Any tips on how to get really defined THIN lines (eg. the black line around his face) please let me know in the comments! Any questions you have about the processes seen in this video drop it down below and i'll do my best to give you the answer.

Hey just a heads up from a professional, when you use that spray adhesive, do it outside (or in a VERY well ventilated area) and wear a respirator. Those tiny adhesive particles can be inhaled, go into your lungs and stick to the walls of your lungs where you add to the glue every time you breathe in. There is no way to get rid of it. This is how an instructor of mine died.
Kind of like asbestos right?
Same with resin art, so sad when people don't know better. Thanks for spreading awareness!
I would absolutely LOVE one of your handmade rugs in my home, you're brilliantly AWESOME.
Jesus Christ loves you and all 😊😊😊😊😊
He’s got every right to charge an arm and a leg for it too. ✨
That is one vicious prison tattoo gun.
Forbidden tattoo gun
🤣🤣🤣

@@TheGemstoneMines get a job, bum
The trick is to do it from the INSIDE of the skin.
omg i never thought i can use a video projector to draw I'am using it now to paint a graffiti in my garage you just saved me hundreds bucks Thanks !
Seeing Homer always makes me happy! 💛🥰
Hi mommy what's ur snapchat
You are absolutely ruggin it
"This is easy!" I thought until I tried it and ended up with a painting in the loosest sense of the decoration. Bravo to you!
Now that’s the perfect carpet I thought I would never have thought of
Incredible work
A too I learned to get clean lines is to cut trim every color before you put the next color in. I find it helps out
I really like that Matt went into the rug trade. It suits him! :D
Cant wait for one year from now to see what this artist has accomplished.
I would never have guessed this is how rugs are made.
Love the design, talent and skill that went into that! 👏😄 Fantastic result! Thanks for sharing.....

Great video
That is so dope ❤
great craftsmanship, well done.
Te felicito. Buen video. Saludos desde Chile
Newbie & subbie ❤ how long did you let the adhesive glue dry before putting the backing on?
A small tip from someone who's been getting into sewing! For seamless edges, try folding the edges under the black, Kinda like what you did for the base of the carpet that you stitched into when you glued that on. Similar to that, however folding them down under the black instead of over, and thus creates a seamless edge that would make them look nicer on the back. I know those things can get annoying, especially for those with OCD.
Ahhh what a good idea! I will try giving this a go on my future rugs :)

Interesting process. I had no idea this was a thing. I wanna get all the stuff to do it now though. 🍻
Yessss. Love your videos man. Wish there was more
That looks funny, and awesome
Omggg this is so goood
definitely cool
I love it!
First time here and I just have to say that is a great channel name!
Homer sinking into the bushes is my favourite meme ever 🤣 this is a fantastic job you've done, shame I cannot buy it sad 😔 💔
Fantastic thumbnail, the video really caught my eye
Thank you that means a lot! :)
Amazing 😳
So very cool! 🎉
You deserve more subs goodluck with your channel man
I appreciate it man thank you! :)
I think it would be cool if you could sew an overlock style stitch all the way around the edges just to solidify it. I’ve seen other factory rugs have this sewing around the edge and I feel like it makes them last long. Well done!
Yeah man that’s so true! I see some people use an overlock machine that makes it look very tidy, think they’re expensive though so won’t be getting one too soon !
@@rugtrade Ahh okay I didn’t know they would be expensive but either way the rug looks amazing!
You can do it by hand with a carpet binding stapler. Bond Carpet Products has "serge tape" that does an awesome job.@@rugtrade
Amazing rug! Just getting into tufting! Do you remember if you ended up using all the yarn you showed for this project? Or do you think you used about half of it?
I made this one a while ago but I definately didn't use all of it for sure, I just keep the leftovers for future projects :)
I love you made a fullsize rug. Something looks off about them when they are so small imo.
What machine do you use? And where do you get your stuff??
いつも楽しく見てます😊❤ あなたの動画は音も良いし、どんどん仕上がっていく所を見るのも楽しい😁✨癖になります😁 次の作品も楽しみにししていますね😊
origato
rly nice
Well done this is amazing 🎉 I’m wondering why they didn’t teach us this in DT instead of teaching us how to draw a cube 😂
😂😂😂 very true
Where did you buy the tool where you put the electric razor to cut the stamen (the one that has a floor like acrylic)
Very nice finish and very well executed. I'm now following you. Can you tell me which yarn you are using please?
🔥🔥🔥
My wife and I would like to get started making these.... could you provide a list of the thing you use for us to get started!?
ไหมเส้นไหนถ้ามันยาวเกินคุณก็แค่ดึงถอยหลังให้มันเท่ากันแค่นั้น แต่ก็ชอบคลิปของคุณนะคะ😊
Was gonna ask if he was selling any of these then I read the description lol dope vid thoe
Fabulous
Very informative, thank you! Could you list the materials you use? I'm a complete beginner and trying to figure out what to buy to start tufting!
- [ ] Tufting gun - [ ] Rug trimmer - [ ] Projector - [ ] Tufting fabric burlap - [ ] Carpet adhesive - [x] Scissors - [x] Hot glue gun - [ ] Backing fabric non slip vinyl/ felt is cheaper - [ ] Tufting frame
@@mellyk6667 thank you!
Omg I love this! I've subbed. Do you sell them?
What kind of projector do you have??? I'm new to this.
Wow intresting
Hey dude, what sort of cloth 9:43 (name) is it that you use for the back of the rug? I'm looking to start making my own rugs. Any tips or equipment you could recommend as a beginner would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Great content btw 🔥
It's actually a lot easier than I imagined with that machine but still a lot of work
Do you only use the hot glue to hold the edges of the rig tucked under?
what do you use to make your drawings? are you not allowed to get pics off google because of copy right?
Is this the new generation latch hook rugS ? So cool! I want one
Doh ! ❤
You signed it matt, because it's a floor mat, that's clever 🤣
and it's my name 😂🤯
This is similar to the punch needle art right? Buy may I say it's faster 😂😂😂. Love it
Che muy bueno
Esta bello
My favorite meme & gif
You signed it as “Matt” 🤣🤣🤣
Sooo fire🔥🔥any links to where we can buy the gun??
Cai ask how many yarns it took for this please and the size of the rug?.:) Very good vid!
How long did it take you to do this rug??
What type of white glue? Is it gras for wood?
5:31 sounds like Glenn Quagmire laughing 😂
😂😂😂
Just want to know do you notice a difference between using 2 strand of yarn vs using 1? I see people do both? Does it really matter or does it come down to just preference?
I want one of those.
It's very striking. Can you use shears on looped yarn as well as cut yarn?
Great question, I’ve never make a loop pile rug but I don’t think you use shears on those… I think you poke the loops with a stick and shuffle them in the the position that looks best :)
You could make one of those sequin pillows with this image, when you wipe the sequins it reveals Homer.
Hey, where did you order your yarn from? My local stores don’t carry a lot of variety i colors
Can you please make a video on where you got your supplies? From tufting gun to projector to yarn and cloth? Thanks.
la raja tu videos, genial
I saw that in yellow and green you used two lines at the same time... does that make any visible difference? btw nice job :)
