Nickelodeon’s Avatar the Last Airbender recently broke Netflix records, remaining in the Top 10 for the longest time! With various teasers, trailers and announcements round the corner for more potential series, we’re hoping that the return of characters like Zuko (Dante Basco), Aang (Zack Tyler Eisen), Azula (Grey DeLisle) and more will be as awesome as we hope for!
That being said, if there is a return to the Avatar world on the horizon that isn’t the Legend of Korra, it’s probably a good idea to brush up on our ATLA history!
Did you know Zuko and Aang had a death pact? A new war almost started within a year of the Hundred Year War? Sokka died with no children? Aang severed his ties with Avatar Roku? And Iroh transcend to the spirit world and made a tea shop there??
What happened to these characters? Did Cabbage man ever sell his cabbages? What did Team Avatar get up to between The Last Airbender and ATLOK? What hidden facts, theories, easter eggs did we miss in the Dark Horse comics?
Let’s dive into some Avatar history and find out what happened in that 70 year time jump!

Instead of starting a new Avatar series or remake, Netflix should just animate these stories to continue the story.
The fact that Iroh didn’t even die... he felt the need to leave so he left to the Spirit World
The real credit goes to the cameraman for traveling to the Avatar Universe and recording all of this
All of these comics need to be animated
You forgot to mention Toph's metal bending academy and the creation of the metal bending police
It's understandable that Roku would advise Aang to kill Zuko because Roku spared and saved Sozin's life multiple times and in the end Sozin betrayed him and started the 100 year war, and Roku doesn't want the same to happen to Aang.
We saw the Gaang grow up we deserve to see their adulthood. Like AT LEAST we could’ve been invited to Aang and Katara’s wedding 🤦🏽♀️
"... make their way to Ba Sing Se to celebrate the end of the war."
I refuse to believe Sokka had no children
Wait a second
Man, sometimes I forget what a powerful bender that kid is
does anyone remember the Korra episode when baby Korra was in the spirit world drinking tea with Iroh?
Teenager Zuko: I need to capture the avatar.
Sokka never got over his moon girlfriend
The fact that Iroh finally got to be firelord even as just a filler for Zuko makes me so happy. Iroh deserved so much and although him not getting to rule was instrumental in his growth as a person, it's nice knowing he lived a long and happy life.
There’s like 2 to 3 good seasons they could’ve extended last air bender
Kyoshi didn't tell Aang to murder Ozai, all she said was justice will bring peace. I'm sure she's extremely proud of how he defeated Ozai.
Its kinda sad that they never gave sokka a Woman in the end. He deserved it the Most after loosing Yue, Suki and even His Blade.
The Legend of Korra trolled me in the first episode. Jinora asked Katara what happened to Zuko's mother. They were interrupted...
We need a series that covers everything between aangs story and korras
