A change in dynamic with Thor's Pride in this video. I think it is good for you to see that everything is not always straight forward and there are also challenges to overcome. It is important to realise this is Lion behaviour and not human behaviour and not to confuse this. Thanks for all of the great support in 2024 . Will be interested to view the comments and expect quite a few for this video.
Is this lion behaviour and not human behaviour? Of course, we don't bite our tails as no tails and teeth are not that good. But deep down I see no real difference. How many people were and are killed due to jealousy? Remember Helen of Troy?
Thank you for an enrichment walk with Thor's pride. Poor Neige, she looks sore and sad (ouch!). It's sweet to see Jubari wanting to have fun, from hiding in the grass, rolling in the poo, to playing with her pride sisters. I hope Lola's surgery goes well and she heals quickly. The exercise was a great idea, gave them a chance to run and play & sniff the poo. The pride loves and needs each other (separating them like what was tried for Vince isn't the solution either, I think). Neige's injuries reminded me of Vince the hyena, I wonder how they're doing?? 🥰😍🦁❤🩹
I love Lions especially the Male Lion,I actually bonded with a male lion at the san Diego zoo,where I live His name is "LEO❤

I think we all feel sorry for Neige and want to shower her with affection.
She’s one of my favourites, she does look a little down trodden bless her.

Neige has been through a lot of “wear and tear” in this pride. She is my favorite in this group. If Gabby and Neige were born in and part of a pride, what a naughty duo they would be.

Kevin, it made me tear up to see sweet Neige looking so sad. But I know you’ll do your absolute best to take care of your precious animals. I wanted to say you are so correct about your videos being therapeutic. I’m elderly, alone, and not in the best of health and watching you and your amazing bond with these beautiful animals warms my heart and gives me so much comfort. I love animals so much and I’m only truly content when I’m with animals. Thank you for everything you do to preserve and protect. You are so appreciated and loved by millions. Poor Neige. She's always such a sweetie pie in your videos Kevin. Both of my 12 year old Beagles (Mocha and Lexi) died over the past 2 months and I'm struggling to cope with the loss. Your videos always help my friend.

They enrich our lives so much, losing them is very painful. We miss the hugs, the cuddles, but memories have to suffice. Sorry about your loss
I can imagine how hard it is go through two so close together like this. I’m so sorry! I lost my 17 year old Dachshund about two years ago and I can’t say it has much easier to be without her but I have been adjusting a little bit better. The people who can’t understand the grief of loosing a pet family member are people who just haven’t ever had one of their own. I hope your days get easier. 🐾🐾

I have severe osteoarthritis in my knees and my spine. When I watch Lion Whisperer TV it helps take my mind off the pain. I have found Kevin in several documentaries on KZhead back in 2012 and I have followed him ever since then. I adore Kevin and I have fallen in love with the lions. 💕🦁💕 Please become a member and support the sanctuary.
I am always impressed when I hear there is a remedy for the problems that arise with the big cats in your care Kev. Dr. Caldwell is amazing and with modern medicine at its best, I am sure harmony will soon return to Thor's Group. "We love you Neige, Kevin will have it sorted before too long." This is a reminder to us that Lions are still wild animals and will always have their natural instincts intact. Thank you Kev for another great video, love and blessings to you. I love being part of the family.
Funny you touched on how these videos are therapeutic for some folks. I know, for myself, I've always turned to these vids whenever I'm down and need a smile. The last couple years have been pretty rough for me, but seeing the lions and Kevin never fails to help me relax and smile when I need it most. Been a member for years and proud to be in the pride!

Something like this puts the care for the lions into the right perspective - it's obviously not just entichment walks and fun, there are many problems to be considered. Fortunately, they are in a safe environment with someone who has nothing but their wellbeing at heart. Hope Neige heals well 😊

I think Thors group is great. There’s always, always something going on. We must also remember they are wild animals too.
I got a little choked up when I saw sweet Neige looking so sad and with wounds😢. And you are right, Kevin, it's good for us to see that these are LIONS, not house cats. What's really amazing though, is that my cats exhibit many of the same mannerisms as the lions. The "PLOP" is a perfect example of this😂 Thank you for taking us along on the walks!

Bless her, poor Neige. She’s always been a firm favorite of mine and I think it’s because I tend to pull for the weaker or underdog so to speak. She seems to have such a sweet demeanor. Her allowing Kevin to touch the wound to apply the wound cream speaks volumes in the bond and trust he’s built with these majestic beauties. Congratulations on the shout out Guyfanno1! How awesome! 😎

I was recovering from a broken hip when I discovered Kevin's channel. Just like Kevin it really bucked me up! Now checking in on the sanctuary every Friday is a must!

Neige has been through a lot......so sad....And it's hard to watch...but to know..and see and hear the explanation of the situation is a good thing... I hope Neige finds her place in this pride (with less puncture wounds) 🙏

I've had the same _"condition"_ happen in a house cat. It makes me so so happy that Kev keeps such an intimate relationship/close eye with the pride because that means he catches the slightest changes and/or very quickly catches any injuries. _Tips my hat_ to Kev!! ❤ ❤
Poor sweet Neige! I always love her spunky antics & it's sad to see her "beat" up like that, just glad it wasn't too serious, but I still want to give her a big hug!!! And very true we all have to remember that these aren't our house cats, but wild animals, who have a totally different dynamic. I know you always do what's best for them Kevin. Lions are beautiful animals. Their faces, skull lines, eyes, paws, character, the flops... 😄 They're just perfect. If they ever disappear, it sure would be a sad moment in Earth's history and I wouldn't want to be around to see it. Thank you for letting us see them and for helping with the preservation of the species!
Poor Neigey😢 Hoping she heals well and the walks help them work off the excess energy. The 6 white lions seem to be the most wild in their behaviours.
So many of us have a special place in our hearts for Neige. I remember you saying it is a human trait to feel empathy, and that it is not wise to anthropomorphize when it comes to the lions, but it’s difficult to see beautiful Neige being so solemn and not frolicking with her friends. I hope we maybe missed some of those scenes.

It's natural for males to scrap over pride dominance, but it's not normal for a male to attack the females in their own pride.
ps I agree these videos are wonderful to watch . They distract me from the pain of severe arthritis and other ailments I deal with everyday so I do look forward to seeing all the animals at the sanctuary/rehab . Take care and may everything come out for the best :)

Yikes - I immediately felt the tension from the very beginning throughout the entire video. That surprised me because I am simply watching online from thousands of miles away!This is an excellent video to remind us that these gorgeous lions that Kevin loves and knows inside out and backwards will always be wild animals of pure instinct. @Kevin In the states we have an ointment called _"Corona Ointment."_ It is normally used for large farm animals because it is very thick and will stay on longer as well as keeping unwanted insects, such as flys, out of the wound. Maybe something to look into for the prides.

Aw, poor Neige - that looks eina! She really is beautiful though - she has the most beautiful eyes and is so demure when she walks towards the camera in that one shot. Wonderful video. Things always get tense in a pride when a female is in estrus(or in this case releasing hormones that shouldn’t be). Males get so possessive and will even attack other lionesses if they get close to the female in estrus. It just puts the whole pride on edge and squabbles happen. Love the lion walk videos. You do such a great job with these lions, lions in general, conservation, etc. I want to Thank You for everything. Hope you have a wonderful weekend 💜🦁

I watched a lion documentary the other day and thought the same thing. They looked haggard and the males were manky looking and covered is sores and scars. Kevin’s lions appear blissfully happy and content, well fed, great medical care and loads of affection. He does an amazing job taking care of these beautiful creatures.
Darling girl Neige looks unhappy and worried, not surprising with the nasty claw marks on her back. Is there any understandable reason why she is being picked on by the pride when Lola is emitting the scent ? I very much hope it doesn't escalate any further

I’ve never thought Thor was or is aggressive I know Charlie was moody but I believe he has lightened up after his injections. I love this group full of energy and play poor Neige she really has been in the wars ❤️🦁❤️🦁
