Buying and testing the MOST EXPENSIVE Fly Fishing Kit on Amazon in 2022! Is it actually good? Can we catch some fish with the flies inside? We wade a creek and attempt to catch whatever is swimming! We've learned before that sometimes price, ratings, and reviews can be totally deceiving! Have you guys ever went fishing with a fishing kit from amazon?? Or bought fishing gear in general from Amazon? I did not expect for this to happen..
Again, I want to thank each and every one of you for the support! At the time of this upload we just passed 461,000 I'm having so much fun making these videos, lets keep this rolling!

  • Remember to always cast about 5 ft above where you think the fish are. It'll take a few feet for the fly to get down in the water column where to fish are located. When fishing beneath small rapids i usually cast into the rapids themselves and let it drift to where the fish should be, if your careful you wont get snagged on the ground. Final thing don't forget to mend your line for a better drift.

  • When. you fly fish its really important to keep slack out of your line. If your dry fly fishing its even more important, and also you can't let the dry fly drag, ie. your fly has to be in front of the leader to prevent the line from dragging the fly in the current. That creates an unnatural drift, which the fish can see. When you are nymph fishing, start at the top of the run and let it drift into he tail of the pool. If fish aren't biting its usually because the nymph is floating too high in the water column, so add more split shot to get the fly down lower. When you have lots of cover behind you, it's best to learn how to roll cast. This is a cast that does not put fly line behind you when you cast. It's one of the most used casts because its versatile and can be used anywhere, even in deep cover like small streams. Go to a fly fishing shop and someone there can teach you how to do it. That thing you tied on at the end that was long and furry is called a Wholly Bugger, which is a streamer. You cast it out and strip it back to you with short line strips. They are incredibly effective at catching pretty much any fish alive. Trout go crazy for them and will chase them all the way back sometimes. Essentially, you have nymphs - subsurface flies. These consist of larvae designed to bounce off the bottom, and emerges with soft hackles designed to ride just under the surface. Then you have dry flies consisting of a large array of things from caddis, may fly, terrestrials (ants, bees, grasshoppers, crickets, spiders, and beetles), and stone flies. These you just cast and let them float down current. Trout LOVE them, especially during a hatch. Then you have poppers - mostly for bass fishing. They are like the frogs you like to fish. Cast and then strip them back just like streamer fishing more or less. And last but not least you have bait fish imitations which are streamers, but fished with harder strips to make them look like they are wounded. Bass go crazy for them too. You can also fish mouse imitations for brown trout, which is surprisingly effective. Lots of fun to see large brown trout explode on a mouse popper on the surface. Couple more tips. Match the hatch! Always pick flies that are A) in the water, or B) around the area. This is 99% what the fish are eating at that time. Grab a small fish net like the kind used to clean fish tanks and put it into the current for like 15 seconds and pull it out. Whatever is crawling around in that is what is on the fishes menu at that time. Then just pick flies that match those as close as you can. You see nymphs, match a nymph. You see nymphs with wings starting to emerge, pick out a matching emerger nymph and fish that. You will be surprised at how many fish you bag in a very short period of time doing that.

  • Always good to mix a little or alot of fly fishing in!!!! If your looking for line for small stream fishing you can't go w floating weight forward line(fl wtf). Scientific angler or rio are good budget friendly lines to start and they will do the trick.. match the line weight to weight of Rod or go one weight above.

  • When sighting big browns in Alberta I use a tungsten bead head on my fly normally I cast 2 feet right of that fish and I normally give that fly a twitch and that most of the time attracts that fish and if it doesn’t I’ll throw a big streamer to it and that usually gets the job done but if those fish are eating dries I’ll throw on a double dry and if Im using terrestrials I’ll twitch them good luck out there
