Possibly a stupid question...but I assume it works with Time Machine?
Nice work! Thanks!
awesome thanks!
ese disco duro lo puedo poner en un pc con windows ? O Debe ser en mac ?
Great video! Would it be possible to replace the hard drive with an SSD? Would the temp sensor be able to work with an SSD? I heard about issues with the temp sensor. I think people used a software program for the fans. Not sure if someone found a way to make the temp sensor work.
Hi, that's a question that I would like to know as well. Unfortunately, I don't have an SSD lying around and I wasn't about to spend on a new one at the risk that it won't work. For the previous gen Time Capsule, I read that some hard disks are not even compatible after installing. So I went for the safe route and went for the 3TB instead. But if you have an SSD lying around, I think there's no harm trying.
Will WD Red Plus 3 TB NAS 3.5" Internal Fest Flat work?
I can’t say for sure. If you have it lying around, then there’s no harm trying. If you need to buy it, then I suggest getting something that has been tested. Hope this helps!
Hi!, Does this work with Monterey?
Yup, I'm using Monterey 12.3 and I can confirm that Time Capsule with the 3TB HDD works totally fine.
@@Area73x That's great! Thanks! 🍻
Can this be used as NAS?.
no, its just backup for time machine
can airport time capsule use ssd?

SSD will work if the connections are standard. But you want to use a SSD big enough to make it worth while. And those might not be a good alternative to a 6TB WD hard disk because of the prices. Also, SSD is specially good for notebooks and the like, because they are more or less shockproof. That is not needed for a stationary Time Capsule.
