Just wanted to say that Dorothy is terrible on IS3 n15 , the res powercreep is awful for her , and while you did showcase the one good stage for her , she gets countered by the worst enemies , stonecutter is stationary , broodmother kills your blockers and the drifter flies , on the first floor you can get an emergency that makes all the enemies invisible . HerCC ability isnt needed on any of the 3 first floors and by the time you reach the end , if you picked 4th ending she'll have to deal with 90 res enemies and 2k def . Anyway , IS4's meta is completely different , the collapsals plus beasts plus darknight memoir enemies get neutered by CC making her one of the best starters and if you get her promoted she can solo the first floor without any blocker
@@Girlboss5002 I feel like I'd maintain my stance that Dorothy is a really solid choice for IS3 as well, she's helped me get a W in a couple runs on sw15, though I've only really had a few wins. And while yeah she can't really do a lot to the IS3 unique enemies, she does really well in some of the hardest stages in IS3 in general, like Uni Bona Somnia, and Out of Control. Anyway yeah maybe I should have showcased her in IS4 or even IS2 instead, but I just couldn't ignore the annoying stages she hard counters in IS3
@@FABKlNG i couldn't remember the name of the out of control node but technically she's not good in this one either due to the stationary range enemies and if you put it into comparaison Aak with module powercreeps her with the reliable stun and survavibility (especially with brood mother) on S1 and buffing potential and in the out if order instance he stuns the ranged guys so they can't hit you (or at least avoid hitting u too much) , there is also that Pompeii node in the 6th floor where Dorothy doesn't have the tiles to dominate(especially with the spiders).. And also she unfortunately doesn't do well with SP relic cause in a full squad you wont need to use a massive amount of traps . The whole thing is that Dorothy should not be viewed as a core operator or starter due to her glaring weakness for IS3 but is nice if you keep finding specialist , and are in abundance of hope . Also it's not a real dig at Dorothy but more at the IS3 mode where if you're not a powercreep unit you won't be good enough .
I’d say Dorothy is useful in IS3 for sure, but she doesn’t carry a run.
Dorothy appreciation gets an instant like from me. I wasn´t even terribly interested in getting her when she was released because i´m not used to the trapmaster playstyle, but as I went through the event and read her story I just had to pull for her. Zero regrets. She´s been a lot of fun.
I love Doro. Her biggest weakness is stage design; some newer stages have so few deployable ground tiles there’s almost nowhere to put mines.
Trapmaster are legitimately the most fun operator to play around with. Not only do they offer some good utility (mainly CC), it's just fun to see the traps go boom and enemies byebye. Add on top of that, that all 3 of Dorothy's skills will have a use in any squad you wanna run and she scales herself with each trap triggered and you got yourself the strongest jerboa to ever exist
Wanna control the scene with cheap costs? Robin Wanna 'welcome' the enemies? Frost Wanna 'research' the enemies? Dorothy Wanna "make them regret it"? Ela Trapmasters are eveything u ever want. Give them a try. They wont dissapoint.

As someone who actually pulled for her out of pure pity and ended up getting their ass carried by her in cc12, i absolutely agree with this video
She was absolutely goated in cc12 yeah. From what I know she's really useful in cc#1 pyrolysis too, the start of season 2 of cc.
Dorothy is the one of the Operators I love her kit. She is a combination of my main damage dealer or my best support depending on the stage in my Zalak Kinghts clears. I was really bummed out that they delayed her event the first time, but it might had made me appreciate her more in her story and as a unit. Overall, one of the most fun units in this game imo.
Using Dorothy in chapter 13 provided an interesting challenge, to say the least.
I started during Lone trail last year. I have seen the Dorothy runs on YT and now got her during the rerun banner. This character is so useful and has enabled so much more better strategies. I also use Muelsyse and she's apparently the best ranged operator to use for the clone because high raw attack and 0.85s attack speed. Mumu also decreases Dorothy's already low DP cost so there's a nice synergy there. I really feel like I have way more firepower now.

Yes I am! A friend who's been playing for long time convinced me into swtiching over from FEH. I definitely enjoy brainstorming ideas to beat stages or improve ones I have on farm. I love IS (even with my limited resources) and the satisfaction of getting all medals from events, which has happened few times now. It's definitely hard to go back to Fire Emblem's over the top power creep now.
She makes me feel like a master strategist. Super cute, super fun to play, very well designed! Even S1 is great for some stages when I set up trust farm. Her basic attacks are strong enough for small enemies that she doesn't need to waste a mine, and strong enough to be one of the best Mumu's clone candidate as well ~ I love learning about the more obscure operators, and your videos are really nice to watch. One small thing, around 5:58 her S3 shows the wrong skill icon, wehhh ~

I'm over here using Frost as my trap operator, and while I usually don't bother with playstyles that are that active, sometimes it is quite fun and I love Frost binding an enemy and unloading her shotgun into them for quite decent damage (it also fits her early R6S playstyle quite well, where you hid somewhere near your traps waited for the sound of someone stepping into the trap and then finishing them of with your signature shotgun).
Dorothy is definitely a great operator. Pulled her during the first Dorothy Vision run and I gotta say, she's fun to use and gets her job done well in both stalling and sweeping enemies.

I got her essentially on accident. Figured id drop one 10 pull on her and got her. Shes ended up as my favorite operator to play with. She's so versatile, and I love her.

I was still super new in AK, DV was my first new event. I did a tenner on Dorothy's banner cuz I was doing that on most banners and bam she came home and has been a huge part of my squad ever since. I can not and will never understand people who rate her low, she's incredibly useful. About the only stages she can't do anything on are ones with barely any ground tiles and enemies are rarely if ever immune to bind. She's great! And extremely easy to use! Chaining her s3 mines is so fun too ;w; I like using the chain explosion to damage things no one can reach. Yattaaa Dorothyyyy!!!!
Exactly the same here too But i after some time thought like im not using her as much as i did Then cc11 came out and she was everything that a real strategy is about The same with cc12 and now shes always the 1 pick in the squad
I do like that Dorothy and Ela are quite drastically different in what they do. Map wide CC and damage where auto attacks are a nice bonus? Dorothy. Powercreep a marksman sniper where auto attacks are your only form of damage? Ela. Yeet enemies with mines? Robin. (I had to include her since push mine is still unique to her.)
I dropped AK twice, for various reasons, but Trapmasters are my favorite archetype out of everything that AK put on the table ever since they released Robin. I never raised Robin or Frost to their very limits considering that the game kinda demanded that I give more attention to core/ease-of-use Ops, but I never stopped loving Trapmasters and I was very happy to see that Dorothy is strong, not too complicated, and not broken. Glad I got her as an offrate a few months ago and I've been having a blast playing a new Trapmaster in my collection, and a 6* nontheless. Robin and Frost are still on my list of 5*s I want to raise to E2, but Dorothy has been very helpful and one day I will bring all three of them in order to cover a map in traps, lmao I wanna pull Ela because I like the collabs with R6, even if I don't like tactical shooters. Ela being a Trapmaster was a bonus.
I want to get and build Dorothy because it's the closest thing i can get to giving her a hug she so deserves.

1 month later and I got her on the virtuosa banner LOL now I really need to pay more attention and rewatch this video so I can effectively use her! She's been very fun to use so far :)

I had to skip her twice because I was sparking on Texalter banner and now because I wanted Jessica (she was my carry long ago and I just had to give her proper respect) so I might not see her for a long time, but each time I use her as a support unit in IS damn it's so satisfying. Hoping I'll get her as rate-off on r6s banners or have enough money to buy 6* selector in a future
dorothy was an op i got fairly early on, her mechanics intriqued me quite a bit so for the longest time i never actually used a fast redeploy. Mines and pink cat handled all "leaks" XD
Managed to get her when pulling for Greyy alter and I didn't have any plans on upgrading and using her at all until I got her in IS and I fell in love with her play style. Now she's on my top 5 favorite operators.

Basically Dorothy and Muelsyse (or whatever her name is spelled as 💀) can be a very effective trust farm squad, I never had any confidence in Doro until i got her as that 0 hope operator help in IS and that made me want to build her and Mu ❤
I love Dorothy's kit and design so much. I bring her in most stages blind and M9'd her just coz I'm a simp. I find it interesting that you generally bring her S2; I almost always bring her S3 when blinding new stages, but I also tend to favor unga bunga tank and spank because my brain is smol so that might explain why I don't value the stall so much XD
Dorothy is a beloved, she is extremely versatile (and she is SUPER strong in IS#4)
I have Dorothy parked in my roster from 1 banner after her original run. Didn't raise her cause I kinda afraid of this playstyle. Now you have convinced me to use her, time to break the jerboa from her seal.
20% may sound not a lot but you also need to consider trapmaster have fastest atkspeed for range ops. So she does a good dps against mid defense enemy. Because of her fast atkspeed and good stat she pair well with Mumu S3 compare to other range ops
I think Ela isnt like any other trapmaster, she is more like a Markman Sniper with utilities

Unironically, Dorothy is my 3rd 6* op since I started during the middle of Dossoles rerun and one of the luckiest dropping only after 7 pulls, yet I still dont have her modded nor have any masteries (have her skin tho) Fun Fact of traps: If they somehow gain block count, they can be destroyed

Got her off banner at first i have bias but in the present i pick her in every stage
Some things to note: - Its fine to make mistakes regarding trap placements, especially with S3. Those can be easily patched since traps have very low redeployment time; or by using other operators - remember that you have more than one squad slot :) - Chain S3 is satisfying indeed, but you dont need to try so hard to replicate them on every single stage you encounter. - Beware of stupidly fast mobs. Sometimes they avoid traps while triggering them. - Try to see if either DEF or RES in the mobs on a stage is lower. This may affect which of Dorothy's skill you will take - Unless it no longer works, S3 in RA2 (Reclamation Algorithm 2) provides extended vision. Same with the sus citizens in Chapter 12. - Ela is just a Marksman with charges. Other than that (and the wrong skill icon in S3 :P), it' s a good and informative video :D PS: If you think about it from an optimistic schizo-like pov, the fact that Dorothy's event gets pushed back twice means she's that good. :P
The wrong skill icon has been killing me once I noticed it.... I had to reedit S3 as well because I had left in a palette that I didn't notice the first time, but still didn't notice the wrong skill icon 😭 From what I know the RA cheese still works in RA2 for doro mines haha

I have her. I just using her like sniper, but spam mines s2 is helpful in some situations. Especially when you use Gladiia for "fishing" or Ho'olheyak skill 3

i... probably should get her to m6, for the times when i decide to not be an afk player lol. plus i didn't know the synergy with levitate and placing a trap under levitating enemies. ho'ol now has an actual use now if dorothy's s1 debuffed in an area she probably be worth a m9 (even if it only did damage to the one who triggered it)
Wanted to pull for Grey alter in her debut banner, wasn't remotely interested in her. Got her in the first ten pull and never got grey. Came around to reading Dorothy's Vision and loved the story and now she is one of my favorite operators to use gameplay wise and lore wise

Dorthy is the only time I opened my wallet, and still didn't pull her 😅, I got her later and she promptly replaced Platnum, Exu, Gravel, and a Jaye. Need omething shot 1k damage, need a stall cheap and spamable, off lane damage ho2 chunks of 3k+ do you need, want an opener true aoe and strong AA can hold the map untill you set down your heavies. And who cares a about unblockable or exploding when your traps are GLOBAL.

Found the stage hard? Bring a trapmaster, it might make the stage much simpler (Not always). I was somewhat skeptical with Frost and skipped building frost. As such My first trapmaster was Robin. To my surprise, Robin make cheesing/trolling (In your favor) lots of stage possible. When Dorothy came out, I didn't care about my reserved saving and pulled her, and yes, she is worth it, especially now with her module out.
Q. Is it hard playing trapmaster? Nope, it's fun and not tiring.
Q. I have Robin, do I still need Dorothy? And Vice versa Likely yes, 2 trapmaster in your squad is a working team. Dorothy is covering AoE and high damage aspect of the trapmaster team. Meanwhile, Robin is unique due to her ability to "PUSH" opponents with her traps.
And finally, Dorothy is not an insta win operator. Peeps will still struggle when using her, but the struggle is not as bad as one might think.
Ela and Dorothy simply have different utility though? Dorothy is way more generally crowd-control focused even with all the mine dps buffs while Ela is focused on self-dps and fragile on her mines which helps the dps of everyone around her too. Yea her mines don't do damage, but does it really matter if you just use the mines within her attack range with skill active or when you pair her with other dps? Dorothy's skills don't do anything aside from generating mines while Ela gets attack speed and dmg buff while prioritizing enemies hit by the mines, which applies up to 35% fragile by the way, which is nothing to scoff at.
Ngl i hate her. 111 pulls only for dupe mountain is insane 💀 thankfully i get Jessica on 6 pulls
