I love how the human is just resigned to the fact that she's going to have a bath as well. I see why you trim the nails first. Your cats are dear kitties, but any cat is absolutely capable of climbing you to get away from the water. Well done, with a minimum of trauma.

Had a cat who could do that. I forgot to lock the door once and after coming out of the shower I found all FOUR cats sitting on the doorstep because this one fucker had decided to open the front door. Two choices: put on clothes and risk all the cats running outside OR just fuck it and get to the door butt naked and grab the cats while I can. I opted for the second choice. Neighbours were amused.

I used to have a cat who loved to bath, I bathe him once per week and he was never scared of the water and stayed still drinking the water, since he was a baby I bathe him and his paws when he had to go to the bathroom to do his business bc I hate when they have sand in their paws and it makes me allergic and I have some ocd to germs. He got used to it so he didn’t mind. You just need to teach him when he’s still small :)

I hada colour point Persian and when he came in soaking wet (only one brain cell I'm afraid) there was hardly anything there. His silky fur was 4" long and somewhere in there was a cat only saw his real size when wet.

Be careful with their necks. A cats neck is very delicate and even the most innocent contact, as shown in your video, can cause damage. I'm sure you already know. Thats not loving, they groom and over wash cats so people would be more likely to buy them. Cats dont need to be washed unless theyre actually dirty or have a flea infestation. This is abuse
@@annasthinaful what are you talking about 😭 this is a ragdoll cat, they are long haired cats, which means they do need baths every once in one or two years (depends on how well thet groom themselves). If they don't get baths, then their fur will be matted and greasy, which will be actually painful for the cats to groom themselves because then their fur will often get tangled and pull on their skins. Giving them baths frequently is bad, but this is Lucas' first bath in years 😭 Their discomfort for half an hour will be worth it so the owners wouldn't have to go to the extreme of shaving them due to matting because they didn't give their cats a bath when they need it (which btw, in case you don't know, is the worse case scenario for long haired cats as they have multiple coats of fur, and will grow uneven if shaved)

I've had a Ragdoll for 20 years. I think he is 21 years since he was a pretty full grown cat when I got him in 2001. He's in old age now and is showing signs of his final days. One of the best companions anyone could ask for.

This made me so happy. my parents had to give my rag doll cat to my grandparents because he hated living with us because of other pets and and I miss him so much. He did truly care for us even though he didn't act like it when he refused to cuddle with us, but I can't help but live with the guilt that it is mostly our fault and he had some bad experiences throughout his life like peeing blood all over the house for years, being sick, furballs, matted areas that got so bad they bled... We. took him to the vet hundreds of times but they didn't help. luckily he is a lot happier now in my grandparents peaceful old house, yet I miss him so much, regardless of his grumpy attitude. :)

@@TheAlien_in_your_backyard I wouldn’t attempt it with a cat, with dogs yeah, it’s okay their nails aren’t too bad. I get scratches from playtime mostly. I think the lady in the video should invest in a professional grooming bath, no need to strip or get soggy clothes 😅

@@environmentalnews6040 The owner actually had a cattery but i think she stopped the cattery bcoz of some problems ig thats why there are 3 generation of cats living in the house
@@rajashreedutta._. she stopped because 2 reasons; she realised the responsibilities of handling life (and ones that do not make it) and in order to keep the cattery going she would have to give away her cats that she breed (Julien, Chloé, Lucas, Nanna and Manon) once they've retired. She doesn't want to do so, since they are actually her own pets she got for herself as companions (she didn't start breeding until around a year after she adopted Julien). I think Amber being pregnant was a surprise pregnancy, but it was a welcome one now that we have 5Gs
While growing up, my father married my stepmother who was a cat breeder. He was never a cat person but he loved her and over time became attached to a few of them. He was the kind of man who thought cats belonged outside where they could hunt, etc. I remember having at least up to 18-24 cats at any given time from breeding to rescuing a few over the years. You would never know there were more than 1-2 cats in the house. She had many litter boxes around and kept on top of the litter daily and the boxes were hidden from sight fairly well. She always had a hard time selling the kittens because she would get so attached to them. Of course, this was decades back. Due to health, I think she only has one cat and one dog now.

Long haired cats do intact need help with baths once in a while, they can't properly groom the long hair which causes a lot of discomfort along with mattes

I have 5 cats and it is always a process to trim their nails. I'm patient, talk sweetly and they have none of it. It's all: "ahhhhhhh!" I tell them, "we've done this for years and you're still a fussy butt?"

This women loves her furry babies. That is clear. She talks to them, love them, & tries to give the best assurance, protection & care. As much as we love our furry babies, how many of us can devout the same thing. She does everything for these sweet Rag dolls. With 11 cats, her house is immaculate. I love this channel. I want to come back in life as one of her kitties.

I had to shower my cat once because of fleas, and he was…well, I'm not sure I'd say calm, but subdued? I did not get a single scratch! I think if you're gentle enough and they trust you enough, they know you won't hurt them even if they don't like what you're doing. He still trusted me enough to follow me into the bathroom the same day after I showered him. Cats can clean themselves normally, but it's always nice you know it's possible to bathe them without traumatizing them!
@@kalimarnakanak I love my cats and I'm very gentle with them. They are so spoiled. However, I can't get them to stay calm to bath no matter what. I'm always getting resistance. Yesterday I rescued a kitten, it was very filthy to the point I had to give it a bath. Surprisingly, it didn't scrap me, I told myself like this kitten mix with fish Gene's lol or it customs to getting wet in the rain. So maybe it depends on the type of cat or its experiences.

I had a cat who loved water and bath everyday. If she saw anyone of us going bathroom with towel, she was like how can you bath before me and will bring her towel and soap to tag along. It was hilarious. She used to enjoy her bath for about 1 hour and we were like baby we also have to take shower, hurry up 😂

I also had a cat that liked to join me in the bathtub when i was a kid, i held him and he just floated looking so relaxed. It started with him always sitting on the edge kind of trying to go over to me until one dag i lifted him slowely down and he just enjoyed it

I am gonna rip you guys a new one when I get out of this box of hot air. One of the cats I used to have.. would attack the closest animal to him when he was pissed off... he would get his nails trimmed and he would make angry noise the entire time. Then we would set him down and he would attack the cat or dog that was closest to him lol... Eventually all the animals would scatter when we would put him down. He would not attack us but he wanted revenge on someone

Must start at kitten age, to get them acustomied to water. And never scare them with water. Example never shower directly, and never drown the cat. And exchaust the cat with toys beforehand;) example a treadmill activities.
