In my humble opinion, you need to approach a person with kindness. Please answer them and don't turn them away just because they disrespected religion. Lots of people disrespected Islam when our prophet (PBUH) invited them. He didn't get upset and tell them to leave. Imagine if he did what you just did, there wouldn't be any Muslim in this world. God is an English word not a name. There are no holy scriptures originally revealed in English. So obviously he has many "names". Some of which are attributes, like "al 'Alee" ("The Most High"). Allah is another name. Which the Bible says Jesus also called out in prayer. Same way if an English child was taught from a Spanish Bible, they would consider "Dios" the NAME of God. Furthermore "God" is a weak word that can be pluralised, feminized or diminshed - godS, goddess, god of war, god of the sea etc. "Allah" cannot be pluralised etc. This is why it is preferred to stick to actual names/titles. As opposed to having to discard actual revelation and use flimsy translations/sentiments

From, the clip I saw, i understand what the guy meant, he said god is a single entity and his name is god,1st i guess when you are the only one, there won't be a need to have a unique name, 2nd for many people god is a concept, a idea, something which cannot be given a particular name, i guess that's what he means, and him getting defensive and saying the word bullshit, not great on his part, and also the other person concluding him not being respectful to his parents is also wrong, we can't judge people on other things based on what they believe in something else

(Quran 59:24) Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said, “Allah has ninety-nine names, i.e. one-hundred minus one, and whoever knows them will go to Paradise.” (Sahih Bukhari 50:894)
@@DawahWise hmm, i saw the video, he didnt admit he is disrespectful to his parents, he didint even say the word disrespect, he said he doesnt care about the morals they have in regards to religion, and said those morals are also the same as your morals, its okay to have a diff opinion from your parents in a particular subject, its impossible to have the same opinion as your parents on all subjects, it clearly doesnt mean they are disrespectful to their parents right?, for example when a person is a vegan and his parents are not, now here their morals and opinion differ, that doesnt mean either that person nor his parents dont respect to each other, For the Sake of argument even if we say he doesnt respect their opinion, he still respects them in person, even if we say he doesnt respect them in person in regards to religion, he still respects them in other aspects and subjects, so we cant conclude in overall basis he doesnt respect his parents Coming to the name thing, theres no point in having 99 names to a single entity making it more confusing, Except (i guess this is the case here) when they describe that entity, in that case its not a name, its a attribute by which we identify that entity, for him god is a called god, he might have certain attributes by which he identifies a god, So He Also has names for his type of god if those 99 names represents an attribute like for from above- Creator, destroyer inventor and such, you should have asked the ques in diff manner like- what type of attributes you identify with a your God, that would incite a clear ans, coming to the verses, it does not refute my point as he is doesnt identify nor believe in islam, so for him god maybe a idea or a concept, and the name of the concept is maybe God for him as i said in my previous comment
