You can put lunchboxes on barricades and castles too and when attackers destroy them, the lunchbox will automatically activate. Very good for when people aren’t nearby to activate them.
on the wood barricades are great locations because they least expect it happened to me when I was playing broke a wood barricade and got set on fire was not fun
I often put them on the most opened wall as long as it's not exposed from elsewhere
I was gonna say. That's actually how I encountered my first lunchbox as an attacker. I broke a plank, didn't understand what this weird box was and eventually set the area on fire + damaging myself a bit. The only downside is that it can trap/limit you or your team since you'd have to remove the box first to get to the barricade and move through the doorway.
Barricades are THE place to put them. Once they get taken out you have a sound cue, it puts fire EVERYWHERE and the enemy has to run through a flame filled chokepoint.
Yeah that's probably the easiest and safest way to use them and it's really affective too, kinda odd that wasn't even mentioned 🤔
Pucks of death, as I recently found out can be pretty fatal as well. Fuze bombed the 3 of my canisters and forced me and my pre-mate to run through the fire to get to safety. It was pure chaos.
They can also block drone holes if you need that sort of utility
I like putting the cans on (prepped) barricaded doors and windows so if an attacker melees the barricade the cannister explodes by itself (Useful as a glorified proximity alarm and also a great way to trigger Osa and Amaru players)
I love playing Goyo now that he has 4 lunchboxes (+single) instead of 2 attached to deployable shields.

I guess putting the lunchbox on reinforced walls is useful when kaid is banned and defense is not going to play bandit or mute, but it doesn't seem to be very good either, maybe against very agressive teams it can be useful
I think it’d be useful on shaving time off a consulate garage push in the case that you don’t have kaid/mute/bandit. However with parameters like that I question the skill of the defending team in the first place
If Kaid is banned you can use the same philosophy for hatches, it isn’t going to permanently stop them but it’s better than nothing and will either result in the attackers finding another entry or having to wait 20 secs before they can access hatch again
Question : I havent played Y7 yet because I am at uni now, do Goyos that is put behind a reinforced wall got exploded if Kali shoots it from the other side?

it is really useful, everytime i use goyo i always put the vulcan on reinforced walls and barricated doors, it takes a loooooooong time to the attackers to push, sometimes its good to put in obvious entry points not only to "spot" them but also to make them change tatics so you can make them play the way you want just knowing where to put the vulcan
Fun fact put the lunchboxes on a barricade in high traffic areas and you have got a automatic area denial tool and you will know where they are pushing. As soon as they break the barricade (melee, bullets, ash charge, whatever) the bomb will go off and you cant get rid of it without a twitch drone or flores

Playing him for a few weeks now. One of things I noticed is when you place it on the floor at distance you cannot shoot it off when the flap is facing you. Which is really powerful. This allowed me to place it on floors next to chokes. Then pop it at a safer position. One more point, if I do place then next a doorway and on the wall. I place them on head height so that anyone that pre-fires can pop it intentionally or unintentionally.

A dangerous and explosive gadget that will burn you Goyo: just slap it in place is fine
i sometimes put my lunchbox on a wooden barricade acting as an alternative for Aruni but instead of needing to waste gadget to prevent time waste and damage being taken from just walking into a Surya gate, it forcibly held the Attacker from pushing since the dps of the fire is much more severe than Smoke's mustard gas for solid 20 second, unless the Attacker has Finka or something like that

When putting a lunchbox next to a doorway, a rule of thumb is if you're strafing left around a corner to peek the lunchbox then put it on the left of the doorway and vice versa. That way you can shoot the lunchbox without exposing yourself to an attacker holding an angle. Two lunchboxes on a doorway should usually go on the same side. Gregor's example is unique because he can peek from the left or right from the doorway so that's why he has canisters on both sides instead of both on one side.
Wouldn't placing the boxes high on the wall either side of master door on Oregon be harder for attackers to see and shoot, while also be better for overall crosshair placement? The only issue I can think of is being able to destroy them from bellow.

goyo is also an exceptionally underrated Maverick counter, able to harass a top cut with his nitro cell and straight up deny a bottom cut with his lunch box as that fire spreads greedily.

I still put them on certain walls as an automatic Stay out of my swamp As long as it's not too near a power position, like the left-modt wall in Consolate basement. Unless we're trying to bandit trick, then I'll bring Azami for cover against yellow.
