Depends on the amount of charge u r putting there Same amount of positive and negative charge then the leaf will be neutralized and no effect will be seen 1positive and 1 negative charge is when added it becomes 0 or neutral

I guess it's because force is directly proportional to q1 and q2 and if we will give a equal to sign then a constant k will come that means f= kq1q2 in this case force is +ve and kq1q2 is also +ve so it will be repulsive to each other and if -f= kq1q2 but in this case force is -ve and kq1q2 is +ve so it will attract each other. I don't know the real reason but I tried to figure it out 😂 sorry if I'm wrong and pls correct me 💜

Sir , actually I have one doubt .. aapne bataya ki Force agar +ve hoga to repulsion hoga and if -ve hoga then attraction hoga.. and ye proof aapne q¹ and q² ko multiply karke bataya.. but formulae me to q¹ and q² ka magnitude dekhte h toh dono me +ve cases hi aayege na? Please clear me if I'm wrong???!!
