  • It didn't even feel like a routine. It felt like it was their own world and we were all just lost in it. I don't think I've ever been so engrossed in a skating performance and this is coming from someone who just discovered them yesterday.

    • It's a beautiful performance, but except for Tessa and Scott's skilled skating I don't think it's a very original performance. I think Marina Anissina & Gwendal Peizerat "Romeo and Juliette" and "Esmeralda" are more memorable as program compositions.

Everyone around me whether they were Canadian or Chinese or Japanese or Russian, we all knew we were watching one of the most beautiful and special things in the world. Deep down, we all knew we were watching the gold medal performance. The TV viewing audience knew about their Gold before them and us. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen. • 0:23 the look, the closeness, the tenderness. That's a beautiful connection. My tendency is to look at her but watch Scott from the beginning of the video until he has to turn away to take the opening stance... he looks at her virtually the entire time 0:28 When he guides her in and they touch foreheads, I melt. His tender stroke down her back and arm... his gaze

    • Odd question: but do you consider yourself to be a good person? Because the Bible is very clear that “there is none good. No, not one”. I mean you can test it for yourself. Just look at the 10 commandments: - have you ever lied? - stolen something no matter how small irrespective of value? - used God’s name in vain? - look at another person with the lust (which Jesus said is like commuting adultery with them in your heart)? If you have - then you are like the rest of us: a lying, thriving, blasphemous adulterer-at-heart. And that’s just 4 of the commandments! And so I ask you, on judgment day will you go to heaven or hell? Dear friend I want you to go to heaven. Yet please understand that God, who judges murders and rapists, does such a good job that he must also judge our evil. We deserve hell. But do you know what God did for guilty sinners like me and you so that we don’t have to go to hell? He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross for us that whoever shall believe on Him will not die but have everlasting life. Think of it like going to court for a speeding ticket but someone else pays the fine. The judge can now legally let you go. That’s was Jesus did. He was God manifest in the flesh and He payed your fine. . Please consider these words and take your salvation seriously - your eternity is at stake here. Turn to God, cry out to Him, ask for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and follow after Him. He will free you from sin and change you. He is faithful and kind but be not mistaken - He will punish sinners because He is holy. So, when will you get right with God? Today is the day of salvation. Pray. Read your Bible (a good book to start is John and if you don’t have a copy you can always download an app) and trust in God. If your heart is sincere, He will reveal Himself to you. Wishing you all the best friend ❤️

  • Clearly Tessa is a superb skater. Scott doesn't always get the credit he deserves. Tessa said Scott is great at conveying feelings or the mood. He is. He was all fierce and passion and sharpness in the compulsory and OD because that's the character he was playing. He's all softness and graceful arms, hooded eyes gazing lovingly in the FD.

    • Indeed. My parents are dancers (not on ice tho), they always say to look at the male partner in dance. If he leads her like he should, takes care of her during dancing, and makes her shine or make her the star of the dance without putting himself too much in the spotlight you have a good one. And THAT is exactly what he does! Combine that with Tessa and you have Gold!

She had a second surgery later that year. The first surgery she had a few years prior didn't give her much relief. She had it done on both legs on her shins and calfs at the same time and that is no joke! They literally gash open the limbs to make room for the muscles so they can expand properly.

  • nearly as gorgeous as the program it was based on… they and meryl+charlie are my favorite ice dancers of the modern era… the fluidity, the connection, the speed, the passion, the synchronization… they are stunning together like poetry in motion… a gorgeous tribute to the stunning g&g

  • Whenever I want to remind myself what perfect ice dancers look like, I come and watch this video. There’s no one like them now. They have the technique, the artistry and the EMOTION. They were born to dance on the ice and we are so lucky to have had them for 3 Olympic cycles.

  • This is such an exquisite choreography, I find myself watching it from time to time, and I'm always extremely touched by it. Few seconds in and I already have goosebumps and tears in my eyes. For me, it's their best program, such raw beauty, purity, innocence... obviously they've come a great way to improve their skills later on, but this is just IT. I'd love to see them dancing this exact choreography once again 🌻

I love how Scot lifted her with so much care and affection as if she's a fragile thing to be broken when she fall. How their face radiate love as they perform. I 'll never get tired of watching it again.

  • On ice skating rink so many performers came, did good, so many would come in future, but Tessa and Moir, the duo would certainly remain on ice skating rink, may be not physically, but in the air and in the hearts of millions, forever........never to end, never to former chapter, even after their absence from the world. Geniuses are always scanty by nature.

  • Virtue & Moir are for me the THE BEST ICE DANCE COUPLE I've ever seen and I'm from Poland not from Canada! I remember watching Torvill & Dean later Grishuk & Platov. But now when I see T&S and try to compare them to those 2 couples or Davis&White I see a big difference between those 4 couples. T&D skated like they were a brother and a sister, G&P like a boyfriend and a girlfriend,D&W skate like best friends but T&S SKATE LIKE LOVERS THAT FOR ME MAKES THEM SO SPECIAL! Sorry for my english:)

As they perform, their facial expressions radiates love and affection that's why fans mistook it for love with one another. Sad because they are now retired and not destined with each other but they will leave a legacy to the skating world.I'll never be tired of watching this video. As of this time I'm watching it again.
