Keep the videos coming Mike, I could sit all day watching you seeding ❤
Good luck seeding your 2024 crops at your south farm Mike
Mike your scale of operation is very impressive, wish you and your family a great season ahead
Mike, make the video's longer. Just enjoy your time and humor. God bless you and your family..
The autosteer is all controlled by your deere screen. The aggressiveness will have to be adjusted on that. The steer rate speed on the pro1200 screen is how quickly it turns when you manually turn the steering wheel.
Great video Mike
Soo happy to see the operations going. Seeding is by far my fav. video compilations.
great video mike good luck with planting 24
Such wonderful innovations, ... just having a 'cab' would have made me happy, ha. Thanks for the Case review Mike, looks like planting is well underway.
Mike, how does the 580 pull compared to the 1167 & JD620,on hills and all drill implements in the ground?
Mate we spoilt
Yes I never seen a cab till I was out of high school and they were very crude at best compared to now. Exceptionally noisy made good noise boxes I have no hearing to verify that.
Ditto to the above comments, the cab on my 1486 was like a freezer in the winter and so noisy it gave ya a headache
Yes the cabs were crude when they first came out cold in winter and hot in the summer but they were better than the old winter fronts which were open in the back but I had too work with these auto steer machines that was half the fun of doing field work was taking pride and seeing how straight you could keep the rows I would be bored too death just riding along not really having anything to do
That Case is nice. Functional, usable Tractor without all the bs.
Great awesome video
Mike the one tool you forget is the one ur gonna need 😂
Hello! God speed.
John Deere do struggle with gear shift and oil flow, proven even worse once you’ve had a fendt.
100% on the jd side click the info button on guidance and should show up steering sens i run at 85% instead of 100 myself
I know with the john deere 9rx 830 the 168 gpm pumps is just for what ever you've got in the back as everything else has seperate pumps.
Hey Mike nice to see you driving red
My tractor was a w c Allis Chalmers with hand brakes pulling a 3-12 bottom plow l was 13 in 1963
We had a WD, used mostly on the hay baler. 👍 Tractors (farm machinery) has changed a lot since then.
Morning
I know it's not a big tractor like you have but I love the evt in this 8r410
U can join the pumps with a kit under the buddy seat.. the older case tractors had better flow didn’t have to join them
Hiya Mike, you can set uour oil flow on your spoils
My old Quadtracs have all steered aggressively whilst trying to get online. On some of our smaller fields following a curve it would nearly give you whiplash. Tried all the setting over the years and no joy.
Typically on the deere screen you have a button called "GUIDANCE" its the sixtht button from the left of your gen 5, when u click on there it will open a new screen with the sensitivity ohn the left side. There you can adjust all settings.
I'll be looking forward to a JD 9RX 830 on your farm...:)
Hey Mike. I’ve been playing around with the APM mode aswell. It seems the pumps on that tractor keep the fan speed steady. I don’t have the minimum rpm cap on so I just let the tractor do its thing. And in 6th gear at 1520rpm. I can run 51-5300 fan speed perfectly as it would at 1700rpm. Even at 1100rpm on the tractor when I’m filling the fans running at 5100rpm.
I hardly ever have to adjust the flow of the hydraulics. Only when I start in the morning at it’s a little thick I have to adjust it ahha
Hey Mike. The settings you’re looking for sensitivity are on the John Deere screen. On your greenstar mapping page it should give you a settings tab
Are you ever going to pull off that clear plastic screen protector that is on the JD monitor? Can you add a second GPS module to the drill, so that the drill then drives the tractor? I believe that's an option on the new JD drills.
Need to see a John Deere 9rx 830 demo in the future!
The transmission on the John Deere is great , take just the shifting they need to improve
With the extra visibility out the back window you might have to move up to the hundred footer 👍
Change line aquire sensitivity on JD side in guidance
@mikemitchell if it’s anything like the fendt green fit ur steering sensitivity will be in the jd screen
If you are using a Solesteer for the steering bridge to the JD it’s a known software issue that’s currently been worked on. An update will fix it in future for the Solesteer
U can calibrate the slippage thing
Mike i see you have a pile of rain coming most of next week... i hope it wont be too much. 😂
Could well be recording 4% slip on a gravel road with the full seed cart and seed bar. Quite some weight there.
Mike, when you steer around a slough when seeding, does sectional control compensate the seed and fert rates, or do you end up over-applying on the inside and under-applying the outside?
Hey Mike, I love the hoodie. Can you make one that just has the word "HOPE" and another that says "FAITH"?
Will the 715 have the ability to prioritize pumps?
Mike magnifique tracteur et le grand semoirs est bien équipés et GPS et bien 😂😮😅😊
Frederic1542 says, Mike, a beautiful tractor and a big seeder well equipped with a GPS and that's good.
mike i would like to see the burts in action more. thank you.
John deer is just a name
Our Steiger has John Deere gps and it’s aggressive when you’re not dead on the line.
Mike, are we gonna see one of the new 9RX high horsepower tractors on your farm this season? So looking forward for that.
Mike have you seen the rock picker that mounts on the front of the tractor. I was watching a video that Larson farms put out a week ago they put 1 on 1 of there case tractors. Stay safe.
Auto shift is good, CVT is way better.
lol, we are so wet. We never can drive that kind of equipment. I'm Dutch.
I hate Jhon Deere and the right to repair bs. But dam that are just so good
That’s exactly what it is. BS. No farmer in the world is going to attempt to fix a $1.3 million tractor themselves. John Deere has every right to keep their software proprietary. Unless they start requiring a credit card swipe to take off the oil filter “right to repair” is a non issue
Seems pretty loud in that case Mike.
Would you buy a fent version of the challenger 4wd if they made one
Will you be getting a 100 footer when the 715 comes. Is anyone looking at the 830 John Deere?
How does it pull? Do you miss tracks?
Great video! You should consider having someone use a drone, to show shots of your planting rig. showing how vast your fields and farm is!
Do you have those tractors turned up on the HP?
Did you get the engine tuned like you said or is it still stock?
Cant believe the wifey doesn't have you babysitting.... LOL!!!
Is the case cab quieter than the fendt?
Do you your remotes in “motor mode”?
Do each of you seed your own acres? Or do you guys just do what’s most efficient?
That's really cool! But I do have one question Mike. Is there any reason why you don't do headlands first?
Whats your largest continuous acre field? They look huge lol. Also any plans for the new 800 deere?
I'm a life long iH farmer and what pisses me the most is how everyone keeps calling those tractors case there's most iH in those tractors then case the worst mistake made was back in 1985 when Tenneco merge the two companies what they should have done was dump and buried what was left of case and just continued with the international line .
What’s your opinion on the new JD 830 tractor
The BIG question is how is the stereo?
How many acres will a full cart do?
Any plans Mike on trying Case’s 715 or JD’s new beast the 830?
He already owns a 715 they just havent delivered it yet... will be this summer or fall.
You gonna try that new deere out when you get the chance?
There is nothing like the perfect turn. It's a challenge I have for myself to break the boredom of going back and forth.
Can someone tell me why it doesn't work for you guys to plant wheat and canola in autumn like we do in europe?
We do have very hardy winter wheat varieties, but no commercially available winter canola varieties as of yet. For the most part, our winters are too dry and cold
I dunno i run my case quad at 1600 rpms a 6 mph all year.... no problem running both my high capacity fans at 5800 rpms...i can drop it back to 1450 and not see a effect
Me to
Mike, what's the deciding factor for using mid row banders or not?
The amount of fertilizer going down regarding seed safety
@@mikemitchell2554 so not to damage the seeds?
Why are u seeding in the same direction, year after year?
John Deere absolutely has the market in GPS, and Data and Op Center. Noone else is even close, they say they can compete, but reality is they just cant. Thats why so many JD packages are on "foreign" equipment. Mike we love you channel, be safe farming !
It’s somewhat what you’re used to tbh. It helps that they have 60% market share. If you’ve actually tried and used all the different products then you’d realize they’re not that far ahead, it’s just confirmation bias
John deere by far has the best gps and operation center program don't want to go without it
@jacobl1657 I own 3 different kinds of tech for equipment, for 20yrs straight noone beats Deere, not case, not ag leader, not raven. but, Im a fan and owner of other colors, 1586 Ih was a tractor that I put 10,000hrs on, and I sidress corn with a Ford even now...lol. I here you though.
How did they do it without gps and giant tractors and equipment not that long ago?
@@jawick farms weren't that big back then
👍
MAR 3
What air pressure did you set all your tires at?
Was 12-14psi in this video but later dropped it to 10psi all around.
@@mikemitchell2554 Howdy Mike, due to your question regarding slip my answer is the following: In case u reduce the psi as much it is very effective for pulling heavy loads but not for speeding on the road, as u already know... U decrease your wheel diameter and thats why your tractor who is thinking he is running 20mph at the current wheel rotation is actually monitoring 18mph with radar for example. The result would be 10 % slip on-road in my extreme example. So in your low psi solution I would propose to believe the values until 10 mph and above who cares about slip... Maybe my thoughts could help here ;) Keep on farming :) Best regards from Bavaria PCB
Mike the best thing you ever did was install the John Deere gps we have 2 620s and a540 all on case gps and it is the wort guidance ever u can only nudge about 3 times there is no fast way to set trac or swap track it’s just absolute garbage starfire will always be king of the gps
I don't know how the old timers did it without modern equipment.
boom
👋🏼😎
John deer has guideds is better cuz it’s been out for much longer that case
Hi Mike where is fendt 1167?
Sold
Bravo 👍😎
So y no tracks mike
How come you don’t outline your fields first Mike?
Mike, Is it me or do I hear more noise in the cab? Sometimes it is hard to hear what what you are saying.
Hi Mike. Are you still looking to get a Case 715 or looking at those big John Deeres?
He said 715 is ordered, but won't arrive until fall.
@@2chippedit’s on order but he doesn’t have to take delivery if he decides he doesn’t want it
Compared to the Fendt how does the case stack up? Like or dislike.
Is there any reason Mike doesn't run the planter 24 hours a day?
LMFAO at anybody buying a case for the transmission unless you like giving the mechanic money
I cant get used to the new case after I've been in a deere . Grew up with case .... Dad used to say if we could afford john deere, we could afford not to farm 😂 Happy planting🇨🇦
What tractor is that ?
Case IH 580 AFS, tuned to peak 680hp, ..... it's actually a Case 620 with up to 680hp boost.
Wow after 4 years of watching you seeding, this CASE cabin has to be noisiest... most of the time I couldn't hear a thing you're say here
The decibel meter says different buddy...
I heard everything he said loud and clear!
Mike, when are you changing the channel name to faith hope farms? It would do better on the algorithm.
I’ll say it since Mike won’t. The John Deer is 1,000,000 times better than all of them. The Case guide is the worst. Case is absolute JUNK!!!
🤔 If we excluded the largest contributing factor which is dealer support, each manufacturer has their pros & cons forsure! Now, don't be so blinded by one colour that you cannot see the values/pros of another. 🙂
Nobody buys a John deer for its tranmission. Why would anyone buy a John deer tractor if for the same price you could buy 2 case tractors! John deer is over rated an needs to cone back to reality! The sooner ppl realize it the better.!
For the name
Lots of Brainwashed Individuals these Days with the love of overrated Green Paint
I won’t have to watch anymore seeding w all the background noise you’ve got in ur beloved CaseIH 🤦🏻♂️
Case junk. Keep yelling over the noise. Crap engines. Cheap horrible tractors.
