Dropped in my own little headcanon about their background specifically for the smp there at the beginning (the fact that Wilbur said he named Tommy still circles through my mind like 7 times a day).
And as for revivedbur, I go back and forth on him as a character cause CC!Wilbur has done a really good job at balancing him just being a dude while also being pretty sus.
And because I think he knows himself and what he's willing to do, ultimately doesn't want to drag Tommy back into it. And tries to distance himself, so if it comes to it, he doesn't take Tommy down with him.

I love the symbolism of Wilbur falling off the cliff...like he's going to do something crazy that might hurt Tommy, but Tommy tries to keep him from falling back down to that level, but, with no hesitation and a resolved smile, Will makes Tommy lose grip...as if saying "I'm gonna do what I want...but I don't want to "take you down with me".... Beautiful.
Add to that, Tommy didn't let him go so quick, he was too attached to will. to the point he also jumped off to be with him, it literally shows how loyal Tommy is to the guy, even the man literally insane, the same man who once destroyed the nation they build. he could've just let him be, but he still didn't. and this video has literally shown how good their dynamic is, and I'm glad it's slowly getting the attention it deserved.

The characterization in this feels very on point. Wilbur is ambiguous but guilt ridden, Tommy is stubborn and loyal. The art is great. Good song choice too. Loved it.
Very true some might argue that he betrayed techno but he was still being loyal, not to techno but to tubbo

@@matthewbennett3353 Tommy doesn’t start wars, he just happens to be involved in a lot of them. For example, the first Disc War was cause by Sapnap’s grudge against Ponk and Alyssa which Sapnap dragged into his mess which eventually lead to Dream attempting to mediate the conflict though unfortunately died during that. Tommy basically took the fall for Sapnap’s actions when Dream stole Tommy’s discs. He did not get into that conflict for his own benefit, he was helping Sapnap. Another big example, the first L’Manburg War. Wilbur was the one who created it and Dream was the one who declared war first. Tommy gave up 2 of his canon lives and his discs on the very same day in order to obtain L’Manburg’s independence. Again, that was not for his own benefit, he did it for Wilbur. Next big conflict, the Pet War. Sapnap killed Fungi and Henry. Tommy and Niki both seeked for vengeances for both their pets. Again, that wasn’t for Tommy’s benefit, rather, vengeance for his pet AND Niki’s pet. What about the Elections? That was Wilbur’s idea. What about the Manburg War? Sure Tommy was involved, but so was a lot of people so Tommy was involved to reclaim L’Manburg for his allies not only for his own benefit. What about Doomsday? That wasn’t even caused by Tommy, that was because of the Butcher Army provoking Techno. How about the final Disc War? Dream set Tommy’s entire house on fire with netherrack and had a compass in a chest at the center pointing towards the location of his discs. So tell me, what actual war did Tommy actually caused FIRST that was for his own benefit?

I seriously cried when it was Tommy and Ghostbur doing a pink promise and then it turned into Tommy and Wilbur handshaking from when they were in L’manburg.

After watching the animation again I feel like it's not ghostbur but younger willbur only but I can be wrong And Will massaging Tommy's head feels like something younger will would do, their bond was very strong

This left me completely speechless. The melody and the lyrics fitting so perfectly with each frames and acting as a showcase of Wilbur’s inner thoughts, the plot-it was absolutely beautiful when Tommy grabbed his hand to stop him from falling and he pulled away, but Tommy followed anyway, but this also showcase Wilbur’s life and how he became insane so accurately-being so beautifully tragic, the animatic itself with each transition and movement being so on point. This is just… amazing.

I straight up cried when it hit the, "you need to let go of this hand," lyric. Beautiful and well characterized and very sad. I feel like you really captured how the characters feel about each other.
oh my god dude this is so stellar the lyrics fit so well with c!crimeboys' entire relationship shown here (sob /pos) and you do wonders with the composition of the scene where wilbur crouches on his knees and the camera whorls around him to show the buttons on the walls in pogtopia the lipsync right before l'manberg explodes and the base drops and limbo unfolds is just- AH. dang. gasp. and the detailing of the scratching out of tallies of the walls,,,,,,, :pleading: the entire cliff after resurrection and reuniting the traumatized boyos is gorgeous ngl, for as much as you mourned the drawing of backgrounds in the description LKASJNDGKASNG, and the entire sentiment of wilbur letting himself fall to not inflict anything on tommy is. sadly rather in character tbf o7 and that little tidbit where wilbur looks up after tommy catches his hand and the light catches his face is SO good just fuck i needed to ramble at you aggressively positively this is gorgeous o7 o7

And by therapy I mean wish fulfilment fanfictions where everyone is safe and sound and happy and friends with each other after the required amount of redemption proving angst, because actual therapy would make my let go of my unhealthy care for fictional characters.

So much of this was beautiful, but something in particular that gets me every time is that Will really seems to think that he is ending his story when going to the cliff, and he seems *relieved* that everything he doesn't want to do and be is going to come to an end at that moment, and he jumps off, and falls with his coat fluttering around him - not fearing the fall and not feeling the hit of reality quite yet and - credits roll. On my first time watching this, I legitimately thought that was going to be the end of the animatic. But then there's this moment of waking up to the fact that his actions and his state of being still has and will continue to have massive consequences on the people around him, like Tommy who would rather follow him down rather than let him fall alone, for pete's sake. And the violent refusal of having Tommy fall to Tommy's death because of Will is what seems to turn Will's dream into a nightmare, causing Will to wake up in a much more literal sense and steel himself against replaying that scenario. This moment seems to change Will's idea of what it means to avoid taking Tommy down with him. For awhile there, he seemed to think that ridding Tommy of himself would do the trick, only to realize that Tommy cares about him, would grieve him, and has every right to choose both things. Will can't choose for Tommy to be apathetic about him on Tommy's behalf. And in that moment where Will wakes up from the cliff dream/nightmare, Will is forced to confront the fact that not taking Tommy down with him requires him not to jump or fall down at all. And he seems to be frustrated or worried or something like that about the prospect of actually having to put in the effort to stick around and get better, but he has become determined to try - for Tommy's sake. So yeah, that's why this moment is so beautiful and meaningful to me and a large part of why this animatic is so near and dear to my heart and quite possibly my favorite animatic from dsmp or possibly any fandom ever.
I love the way as Tommy grows up, his hair gets more and more angular and less rounded and fluffy, showing his loss of youth and innocence. Just a small detail that shows so much!!
Oh my GOD, I love seeing interpretations of Wilbur's character that don't just settle with "did bad things in the past=irredeemably evil" And just looking at the characters, I feel like you drew them with so much love! I'm definitely saving this one, you did so well with it!

This is *STUNNING* The smoothness of the animation, their movements, the transitions. I love the style choice with the ears. Idk if it was intentional or not, but it reminds you constantly that they're not quite human and I really like that. And the fricking plot, man. You captured their characterizations so well here, Wilbur letting himself fall because he can't keep hurting Tommy, the reflection of their younger selves, Tommy going after Wilbur and falling with him, Wilbur waking up. This is so !!!!!!! I'm _speechless_ , this has blown me away.

This is genuinely amazing, even after all will has done tommy still can't let him continue down this path and as annoyed as he is with him he will do anything with him even if it means dying together. So emotional you really hit the nail on the head with this wonderful job!
The characterization in this animatic is stunning, it really showcases their dynamic well. I love the entering and exiting transitions for Wilbur's limbo too, the button scene was great as well. I'm crying over a Minecraft roleplay again help.

Great job storytelling so that even outsiders to the series can enjoy and understand the intent of the animation. I have no idea what the story is between the two of them, and unlike other DSMP animations I watch almost exclusively for the art and not the story, this one had me invested and even a little emotional

There isn't a single thing I don't love about this animatic, it's literally incredible. But my favourite part? How Wilbur's biggest nightmare is hurting Tommy while he punishes himself for the insanity he indulged in. It really shows the guilt Wilbur is carrying, and how he feels like his crimes are unforgivable to the point that he's convinced that killing himself is the only chance he has at redemption. And still, he fears nothing more than the possibilty that he might hurt Tommy in the process. Yes, I love the crimeboys dynamic, and yes, I'm a Wilbur apologist. Fight me. Beautiful work, my friend!!
You predicted it. Wilbur didn’t want to hurt Tommy or anyone else anymore, so he left. Hurting Tommy the most because of it. (AUGH!) This is gorgeous.
So I showed this to my lil sis and she's really enjoying it! She noticed that there's at cliff and at this part 2:31 she just LITERALLY JUST SCREAMED ON TOP OF HER LUNGS, " NOOooOOoooO WILBAAH- oh..." just to REALISE that Wil isn't jumping of the Cliff yet. YET... then when he jumped of, she screamed, again, and noticed Tommy had caught Wil's hand. Then he let go... and again my sis screamed, and soon as she saw Tommy also jumped off and she just literally Cried after seeing it... Wow... what a reaction my sis just did.
I'm sure you've heard it before, but this is absolutely one of my favorite videos about not only cCrimeboys, but cWilbur especially! I have a pure hatred for when people categorize him as only "crazy" and "a true villain", but it's so disheartening to see that. Considering cWilbur didn't wish to be this villain, he was a man who needed mental help and chose to kill himself as he believed he wasn't needed. He didn't wish to bring others into it, even though sometimes his actions spoke otherwise. Gah, I just love this animation!! Especially the scene of him falling of the cliff, it makes me get so excited (which is weird to say, but hopefully y'all know what I mean)!

Tommy is probably one of the most loyal people on the smp. - He gave his most prized possessions, the discs, for L'manberg - He stayed with Wilbur even after he started going insane - He was loyal to Tubbo, even after he exiled him I could go on but those are the first ones that come to mind. Anyways, this animation makes me cry everytime I watch it so I'm not sure why I constantly watch it on repeat lol

THIS IS SO FRICKIN COOL - the framing of the scenes and the really subtle symbolism just keeps me watching it on repeat!! I love how you see c!Wilbur walking into the dark cave of Manburg - and the ultimate dark spiral it leads him into. How the words 'Take you down with me' match up exactly with c!Wilbur standing up in amongst his endless, circling thoughts of that button - showing that his way out of the prison he created for himself to absolutely obliterate it; and then himself. And how in his limbo, it seems no time passes, and yet, the marks of it are blindingly apparent on the walls and on Wilbur's new character. I love the shot of revived c!Wilbur standing on the other side of a huge stone to Tommy, Ranboo and everyone else, showing the huge rift each of their actions and time has thrust between them. THIS ANT8MATIC IS SO GOOD AND I COULD RAMBLE FOR HOURS AT ALL THE TINY LITTLE DETAILS
This is one of my favorite songs and the animation in this is incredible. I can even see improvements from beginning to end, wow. You did wonderful with this, I got chills!

AAAAAAAAHHHHH THIS IS TOO GOOD FOR WORDS TO DESCRIBE. I love the transitions, the art, the storyline and just the references to the past. I also love the way you showed how they promised to stay together forever and how in this animation Wilbur still has a feeling deep down that cares for Tommy, the figure that Tommy calls his brother and not a villain. It shows that part of him that felt sorry for planning to take Tommy down with him for his own amusement (making Tommy president before blowing it up) and instead embracing how much he actually cared, as if he is in a shell of a person he doesn’t want to be. But he’s stuck there now, he can’t change his past, so now here he is, the guilt still tearing at him from the inside, hoping he could just let go, but the only thing grounding him being Tommy. He never loses that feeling, but it gets pushed deeper and and deeper down by the second.
THIS IS SO AMAZING?? I LOVE IT SO MUCH!! the animations were so good, and I especially loved the young/older Wilbur and Tommy transitions around 2:10 and at the cliff scene as well 😭😭

I can't give this video enough praise. The way the scenes seamlessly transition between one another, the flashbacks contrasting their relationship then vs now, the designs that portray exactly how old they were at the time, and the way the song fits so well and lip syncing the parts where it's most important. Telling so much story in so little time is a real gift.

Loved the panning when l’manburg was blown up, the use of their past and current selves was amazing- where they were holding hands and my favourite was when they were walking and they changed as the trees past! Idea: When Wilbur was in the train station he had a lot of regrets and he would take his anger out on himself. He remembers the pinky promise. So, when he is revived he has a scar on his pinky finger from biting it to draw tally marks on the wall for every day he was away from tommy
THE ANIMATION IS SO SMOOTH! I love your style for Wilbur and Tommy and the expressions are so realistic, I teared up at the last part from how good you expressed the sadness in Wilbur and Tommy's eyes, very good job!

MAN the fluidity of the movements, beautiful storytelling, all the incredible transitions (obv the one with the explosion??? /pos, and the trees switching between past and present, and the moment tommy grabs wil's hands!), and the emotion of the song make it all so perfect, i am feeling the feels and thanking you for creating a beautiful thing!!
I hate how well drawn this is I love it I hate it I love it I'm at a lost of words gimme a second Okay I think my favorite part is how Wilbur is surprised and almost confused that Tommy caught his hand, and how in return Tommy looks like a mix of shock and scared? I hope I'm not getting it wrong but the emotions feel so raw and real it has my heart in a chokehold

This is my all time favorite Tommy and Wilbur animatic. The animation is on point and the music choice is absolutely phenomenal, you’ve really managed to capture so much emotion into the whole thing!
