Is it possible to beat Borderlands 2 as Terramorphous? What if we tried it on OP10? Can we beat Ultimate Vault Hunter Mode without slag? Borderlands, Borderlands 2, Borderlands the Pre-sequel, and Borderlands 3 all have guns that can get pretty wacky, but wacky doesn't always mean good. In this challenge run, we try to beat the game with only the Fire Weapons You Get from Terramorphous! Want to see me try this challenge with a different gun, grenade, or shield? Comment below on what gun, grenade, or even shield I should try next! Any gun in any game (Borderlands 1, Borderlands 2, Borderlands the Pre-Sequel, Borderlands 3, and hopefully Wonderlands!)
Alright, so if you clicked on this video you might be hoping I'm going to be running around the borderlands as some crazy tentacle monster like something you would see in a CoD Zombies map, but sadly borderlands modding isn’t that good yet so today we will be trying our best to cosplay as everyone’s favorite giant space whale squid and ask Can You Beat Borderlands 2 as Terramorphous? It should be common knowledge that all you need to cosplay as someone, or something, in this case, Is their hide, blood, teeth, and breath. If you don’t know what these do ill show you real quick. The breath of terra is a neat fire grenade mod that makes tiny volcanos under the feet of the bad guys. The teeth of terra is a shotgun that shoots bullets in a biting pattern and does a little grenade splash at the end. The hide-off terra is a roid/nova/spike combo shield usually regarded as the best roid shield in the game, but I went for the absolute lowest roid damage so that the challenge wasn’t too easy, And then there's the blood, which is kinda…yeah it's kinda bad. For the class mod slot, we are going to be using the Slayer of Terra com to keep it thematic. I will quickly go through the rules, WE will be playing on Over Power 10 UVHM, which is the hardest difficulty and enemies are 10 levels higher than us. No BAR allowed, and terra Gera only, as a bonus rule to make it a little more challenging I have to full spec into every skill that the slayer of terra com boosts, which might not sound bad but ill show you why this was a mistake in a moment. I would go over the build but it changed a few dozen times during the run I pretty much switched between fire build and Bonk build depending on the situation. With that out of the way let's get to the run. So we hop in and near immediately get the first death out of the way. Masochistic decision #1 : Playing UVHM with no Slag. Anyone who has played ultimate vault hunter mode knows that Slag is practically necessary for this difficulty, you CAN play without slag just like you CAN wipe your but with a sock after using the toilet, it works but you probably need a counselor if that’s what you’re doing. Anyway, all of the terra gear is locked to fire element and Krieg has no slagging skills so yeah this run is going to be painful. All the enemies, in the beginning, are all flesh which is good for
Sooooo uh Strip The Flesh DOES NOT boost The Splash Damage of the shotgun. My initial testing was wrong (probably because its hard to tell how many pellets hit) so my bad ;_;
2:09 actually did you know that skag pearls release hunger inducing Hormones that act like acid as far as I can tell also the final explosion at the end is the explosion not the shots connecting at point blank

Honestly that grenade mod would be super OP, if 40% of storyline fights weren't against armored foes. I know this because A very similar grenade exists in Bl3 and is completely OP for anything that isn't the Handsome Jackpot DLC
And this is something that undermines Krieg too. He has a skill tree mostly focused on fire, too bad that most of the enemies is armored or at least has a shield

The Eridians locked up the Warrior not to protect the planet from it, but to protect it from the planet. Judging by all the skeletons the size of aircraft carriers on Pandora, I don’t think Terramorphous is the only thing out there that could beat the Warrior

@@edenengland1883 Terras main weakness is fire. Teeth and breath are always fire, and teeth's fixed spread specifically lines up with terras crit spots. Slayer makes you tankier (extra survival to try and outlast terra) and improves your ignite damage, while skin is one of the tankiest shields and has two fire damage effects. It's all meant to make terra easier.
A little tip for you when dealing with annoying enemies such as that angelic loader: keep jumping around. For some reason, most mobs can't track your character in mid-air. If you keep jumping they will only shoot/hit you when you land in the ground.

This run was the pure definition of masochism Buuut... can Terramorphous farm Terramorphous? Here's an equally masochistic run idea: Can you beat BL2 using only Tediore reloads? Rules being: Pick 1 Tediore weapon for each weapon type, 1 Tediore grenade (is Fastball too OP?) and The Cradle shield (RIP) You can only do damage with the reload, can't shoot the enemies yourself. No boosts to grenade and explosive damage

Teeth of Terra is one of the best shotguns for Krieg with the right setup, I loved using it in Caustic Caverns.

I wish we had more raid boss gear that was kinda like the bosses. Imagine a vorac gun with a melee buff that did more damage the lower your health or a hyperius grenade that spawned one of his bots to help for a little bit. Raids in borderlands 2 are still the best because they can be solo'd and just have you and a massive monster.
Roid shields that do elemental damage would be dope. Missed opportunity indeed.

Small idea I just had, what about a Marcus run? Lucrative Opportunity, and only using the Evil Smasher and potentially the temporary elemental weapons, as you would have to use them in a specific order. I feel like salvador would fit the run the most, but he'd probably make it work easily with Money Shot and his ammo regen . Idk just throwing it out there
Krieg actually has a built in +75% melee damage modifier, which is overridden when using a weapon with a melee modifier. So switching to the bladed shotgun actually reduced your melee damage since it only had +50% damage.
This is true, but if you’re using roid damage it’s actually better to use the blade.

I know this is an old video but i feel it should be mentioned, at max level krieg's regular melee actually outpaces any bladed weapon other than the rapier because his melee damage scales higher through his level than any other vault hunter
This is true unless you have roid damage, then it becomes better to use bladed weapons again 🙂
Currently playing Krieg on TVHM, and Silence the Voices' self damage doesn't seem random, but malicious. I've had that 12% chance proc three consecutive times on several occasions. There are plenty of fights where I damage myself more than the enemy damages me. Then there are bosses that go down in seconds. Between the visual effects of the self-damage, and enemies hitting me with elemental attacks, the mini-map is more useful than the main screen in some fights.

you convinced me to rebuy these games on steam, i used to have 1 and 2 on ps3 but i cant play those ones anymore but watching these videos really made me have to go back itll be weird playing these games in a way that isn't "i like this weapon because it looks cool and it does good damage :)" like these videos taught me that apparently the attachments (minus scopes) actually matter? like the jakobs stock giving more recoil like never woulda known.

First time playing BL2 as Axton, started uvhm at level 54 and managed to get to Bloodshot Stronghold, with blues and greens, no slag, I now know that was a hell of an achievement

Idea: Can you beat borderlands 2 with only Jakobs Munitions (guns)? Rules: OP10 UVHM, grenades, shields, class mods and relics won't count and can use any manufacturer (e.g Dahl Class Mod, Ashin Shield, Bandit Grenade, Eridian Relic (obviously)), any character, no BAR and only Jakobs guns to be used (other manufacturer's guns (e.g Hyperion SMG) must only be picked up). Bonus Rule: You are able to change your loadout at anytime (switching your grenades and weapons to better ones).
