My moose hunting area, know that country well. That warm up shack is actually getting a major renovation done to it now as we speak. Big addition , all new roof , grounds are all cleaned up around it. They are doing an awesome job. Thanks for the video Bob.

grey jays were so cool, beautiful area at the sink hole , deffinantly a long trip down into it but well worth it I feel. reminded me of a few areas around Toronto and Hamilton this way with the waterfall nice area to explore for sure. you could see the size of this one because you and your wife looked like tiny ants. what a great luch I see the gray jay's wanted some as well. I like the warm up shacks, we have them here in ontario for snowmobile's they are a good thing. what an awesome video really enjoyed the tour. Ontario, Canada .

If that were in the US they would have cordoned it all off, commissioned a staircase with railings, and charged a fee to enter. That's nice you still have natural areas that haven't been red-taped and restricted by your government.

What is the geology mechanism causing this. Generally surface water is poring through some soft rock into an underground river. What's going on here?

That's exactly what's happening here. Acidic bog water wore out the limestone and the granite stone roof of the cave colapsed.

Hadn't thought of the acidic bog run off but I now recall being told that the Vikkngs at Lanse aux Meadows recognized this acid run off and were able to extract " bog iron" nodules and forge them into tools and weapons

The terrain looks bad, and the view is not great to look at either. It is a narrow waterfall with a lot of rocks that both of you have chosen to go see. If you both of you like waterfalls then I would recommend, for the both of you to travel to Niagara Falls. I been to Niagara Falls, and it has nice scenery, and the terrain is not bad to walk on. I never been to Newfoundland, but I seen better things to look at in Newfoundland on the internet.
