(ASMR Bike Restoration) AVE MALDEA a Filipino Made Bike Frame
Hello viewers! This is a 21 minute video clip of Neglected AVE MALDEA Road Bike. AVE MALDEA is one of the known Filipino builders of bike frames with it's smooth weld structure. I Paint it with Celeste Green and partnered it with Red & Black bike parts. Majority of the old parts are replaced due to safety reasons. You will also see here how I melt an stuck aluminum seat post.

  • Una restauración increíble, me encanta el color que has elegido, el verde agua, le sienta fenomenal a esta bici, yo tengo una Orbea Alma M 50, en color verde agua, y la verdad es que la bici, queda de cine con este color, en fin si la tuviese delante de mi no dudaría en montarla, y llevármela a dar una vuelta, porque me encanta la bici, todos los días voy a mi trabajo en bici, y es de lo bueno lo mejor, te lo puedo asegurar, incluso me he acostumbrado a circular entre el tráfico urbano, y me desenvuelvo bastante bien, a pesar de que soy algo corpulento, y un poco voluminoso, pero aún así tengo bastante fuerza, y lo que me falta en velocidad, lo compenso, con fuerza. no soy rápido, pero si que estoy bastante fuerte, el domingo pasado cogí la Alma M 50, y me fui desde Alcobendas, hasta el Espartal, me fui con mi mecánico, y con tres amigos más, fueron 70 kilómetros, por caminos y senderos, pero me lo pase en grande con la Alma M 50, y es que esta fenomenal bici, que es de mi propiedad, tiene una capacidad off road increíble, y lo mejor de todo es que está fabricada aquí en mi país España, cada vez que monto en mi Orbea Alma M 50, es como si fuese Navidad todo el día. Saludos y enhorabuena por tu impresionante trabajo de restauración, que es increíble. un abrazo y hasta pronto.

  • I’m kind of late to the “bike restoration” thing here on the KZhead’s .. but I’m happy I found these videos. So relaxing and the end result is gorgeous! Makes me want to go to the second hand/ yard sales and pick up my own project to tinker on .. much peace and respect from the Southern California desert 🤙🏻

  • Great job, especially with the frame, that was quite demanding. Also, it is amazing how the Claris groupset looks so nice although it's one of the cheapest shimano options.

    • it's a solid piece of mechanic for most amateur cyclists. if you don't do competitions the 600 quid on an ultegra groupset are far overpriced & unnecessary.

  • I really appreciated the method you use to remove the seatpost. Could you please explain it better? Baking soda + isopropyl alcohol to dissolve rust?

    • Lye crystal mix it with water, it will melt the aluminum but will not affect the steel

    • No Brasil usamos soda cáustica que é um cristal. Mistura de 2 porções de água para uma de soda. Cuidar a lavagem posterior e o descarte correto dos produtos para não poluir o meio-ambiente.

  • Hi sir, content suggestion/request. Pwede po magupload kayo ng about sa pag re-thread ng parts ng bike? Tulad po ng mga madalas ma-loose thread at kung paano ito marerepair or rethread na original size ng bolt parin ang magagamit and using tools na pwede maorder online. Salamat po!

    • Hindi ko pa na tatry mag rethread sir eh, usually kasi pinapatira ko sa machine shop pag ganyan at mahirap sya i-DIY dahil kumplikado

    • @@CoggieBike yung mounting po kasi ng brake caliper ko na loose thread, walang magaling na machine shop samin tinatanggihan, then napanood ko na Helicoil ang madalas gamitin for rethreading para same size padin ng bolt. Based on experiments na napanood ko online, kaya ng helicoil magresist ng 300-400lbs.
