Ukraine's parliament has passed a new law making it easier to call up new recruits. It requires all men between 18 and 60 years old to carry documents showing they have registered with the military. A general told lawmakers ahead of the vote that Ukrainian soldiers are outnumbered ten-to-one in places.
Parliamentarians also dropped a clause from the law placing time-limits on service. Earlier versions allowed for demobilisation after three years. The omission is a bitter blow for battle-weary troops, some of whom have been fighting since the war began.

Russia has 3 time the population? Try 7 bro. Ukraine 2024 is not the same as the one in 2014. Ukr had 40mil prioor to sessesion. Around 9.5 million are in Russian controlled areas and loyal to Rus. Around 6/7 million Ukranians left the country in the period od 2014/2022 with emphasis in the first few weeks of the war before borders were closed. So ar this stage counting the dead and wounded Ukraine does not have more then 23 million. The highest possible estimate for mobilization of the last ukranian men is 6.5 million. Thats why everyone said at the beginning this war will be waged until the last Ukrainian for the benefit of the west. Sad.

No, Ukraine did not have a chance OR a choice. In April 2022, Russia and Ukraine almost had a peace deal. Until Boris Johnson flew in. But after the US/UK vetoed the peace deal, those in Zelensky's govt who sought peace were rounded up by the secret police, who are supervised by the CIA. Ukrainians wanted peace. But the CIA controls all parts of the Ukrainian govt. And the US aid pays the salaries of all the Ukrainian govt workers. The plan all along was to sacrifice the Ukraine people to as Lindsey Graham said to kill Russians.

So Russia has almost 4 times the numbers. Other than that, right now most Ukrainians are being forcibly recruited, while in Russia most are volunteers. This is easily explained by psychlogy. People who, simply put it, feel that they are winning are also more motivated, while Ukrainians who understand they are loosing and fear that the worst is yet to come see no reason to fight and die for a lost cause... The Ukrainian government made by law the lenght of service required unlimited. People who already fight for years are not happy to hear that.. Such an army can not win this war againt Russia. This is nothing more than realism...
@@maryanchabursky9148 It won't work because conscripted soldiers never wanted to voluntarily serve in the first place and they now know that they will never be leaving the front. With Russia, the mobilized troops were sent to extensive training while the front lines were being fortified with construction crews using heavy machinery.

The reason returning POWs get an exemption is because the terms of their release was that they never fight again. Russia has all their names; if they are caught fighting again they'll either be shot or imprisoned for a decade. Many AFU in Avdiivka were former POWs and when the city was encircled they could not escape so they huddled in the coking plant and Russia had to basically delete them as they wouldn't surrender.
They realized back in the day that no breaks from the front line would leave men shell shocked with crippling PTSD. These women expecting husbands to return the same man are sadly mistaken
After WWII, too many wives suffered due to their respective husbands horrific experiences. Once seen, one cannot un-see.

Totally unnecessary war fought in benefit of foreign corporations destroys the Eastern Europe. However, there is unfortunately no power to stop it, despite the dangerous risk of escalation and the following catastrophic effect resulting from prolonged conflict especially for Europe. Division of that country on two parts according the ethnicity of its inhabitants seems to be the best solution of this situation, since the pragmatic approach is always far better than fanaticism or unrealistic expectations.
