John Goodman is such a great actor. Forgot him and Denzel were in two movies together. The other one is called FLIGHT!
The female detective in the office also plays Lou's sister in The Sopranos. Tony and Janet Soprano. Pretty cool

A few years back, I went to watch a movie with friends in a lounge for staff. I hate knowing about the movie ahead of watching it, so I wanted to be surprised. Denzel was casted here and the title Fallen, didn't say anything. OH BOY, DID THIS FILM D E L I V E R!! The Pelican's brief and Deja Vue are two more with Denzel, definitely worth watching. Thank you so much.
Out of all the movies theyve remade and made sequels to, this is one that deserves a sequel. Great movie
This was always a favorite supernatural thriller of mine growing up. The cast and acting was memorable.
I remember seeing this for the first time. It struck a nerve and has stayed with me. Very few movies have this effect on me.

Such an underrated movie. An absolute CLASSIC in my book. My personal top ten. The person who wrote this has vast knowledge of spirits, even though he and the film are sadly twisted and tainted by the Christian understanding of evil spirits/demons, which shares some similarity, but for the most part is extremely different from the Orthodox Jewish understanding, which, despite what many Christians will say, is based on nothing more or less than what the Hebrew Bible says. I actually met a guy in jail one time that had an almost exact experience to John Hobbs. Everywhere he went, a spirit would enter a person, and basically like, literally, run into him. I never doubted him. I told him about fallen. He said he had never seen it. Seem quite credible to me. Just because someone's in jail doesn't mean that they are a liar, though many are. The most interesting concept in the film to me, is that a demon or evil spirit cannot enter a righteous person, or at least not by conventional means. If it's not all together true, I believe it does have at least some true to it. I also believe, based on my own personal experience, that if an evil spirit DOES possess a righteous person, that it will ultimately have to leave, likely because it hates being near righteousness, because it basically reminds it of its own evil. Whereas an average or wicked person will require an exorcism.
Who ever the person is that Picked Denzel for this part is a very aware and in the Know because of all the actors out there, best one by far for this part.

One of the most under rated films I’ve ever seen. Amazing performances from every actor. Absolutely gripping from beginning to end and filled with some of the best story twists. Denzel is one of THE greatest film actors in film history and he is so good in this. A perfect Everyman when needed and a fantastic ‘character’ when called for. I’m always left with the chills after watching this particular movie. Can you tell I appreciate it? 🙂

The scene in the police station where the demon jumps from person to person is a masterpiece.
First off, read this warning. It was slow purposely. I promise you want to watch it again knowing the ending. Only then you discover beautifully written and masterfully acted character arcs ... allows yourself to skip couple of 5 minute periods when you think it's too slow, because I can't wait to see what I skipped. Excellent vertically twisting movie
'We are not fighting against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces in the heavenly realms' This movie makes this point very well, imho, although with a lot of artistic licence. But the Bible says that we don't need to fear the evil forces when we are in God's hands. We need to remember that there is an opposing spiritual force to God, that is Satan. Not as powerful as God but can definitely reek havoc in our hearts, heads and lives, if we allow it to. We do need to keep vigilant in real life, to guard our hearts and minds. That is what is important. As it says in the Bible, it matters not what happens to the body but it matters totally, what happens to the soul. Choose good and eschew evil. God bless everyone and yes, another wonderful performance from the great Denzel Washington, who I understand follows Christianity?
Denzel and all others in Hollywood are not allowed to be legit Christians. If they are real Christian’s they do not get near fame movie stardom $ etc.

This movie scared the hell out of me when I was a kid for some strange reason. And "Time is on my side" singing was so creepy.
Obviously the producer or writer etc...wasn't impressed with Mic Jagger and the stones.

One of Denzels best that is rarely spoken of probably because of the demon angle, but it is a classic . . . "the time I almost died!" And the soundtrack is perfect . . . "pleased to meet ya!"

Every one complaining abut this movie. im enjoying it 1:30 into it. and its solid. acting solid the plot is solid. (each to there own tho. its slow so it's not gonna be every ones cup of tea)

The story alone is first class but it takes more than that to be a great film. The actors, director, film stock, editing all of it amazing.

Yeah, they are NOT early in their careers,here, though, Donald Sutherland was in ''Mash'', the movie,from,like,circa;1969(the year I was born)when he played the super funny character of ''Captain Benjamin Peirce''..aka,''Hawk-eye''..(Alan Alda played him in the t.v. show), & John Goodman was on ''Roseanne'' from circa; 1989 until it ended,ten yrs or something, later..(Idk,.I can't remember)..& James Gandolfini, is in lots of films..(not to mention), The Sopranos.. however, they ALL DO look great,. & are most definitely brilliant actors, absolutely....peace✌& hugs💖 to all, with love from,-Marina Martin- 💋in Surrey, British Columbia,Canada ..cheers🍾🥂...xox

the 90s was the era of these movies a couple of them aired, people slept on this, didn't do well at the boxoffice initially, but recently it started to go viral, i guess you can blame the people and the critics

Every targeted individual that has to deal with gang stalking can relate with this.
I'm targeted individual as well. I believe these demons watch our every move. So, when they get into these people who participate in community organized harassment aka Gang Stalking, these demons control these people to mimic words or phrases of what we said in private or mimic our mannerisms. Same thing goes for the noise harassment campaigns and smear campaigns, its demons controlling these people.

I first watched it with my sister when we were in Malaysia. We were on a train going from KL down towards Singapore. It’s a fantastic film with the great Denzel Washington.

Wow! This is one of my favorite films ... Loved it since I saw it in the cinema in 1998 - Great film and ... well, mustn't ruin the ending now...and of course Embeth Davidtz, never quite getting the fame she deserved/deserves .... but at least she has this and Army of Darkness to guarantee her immortality anyway.

This is exactly how demons work. Pizza man with letter 17? This is a disclosure movie. This is the spiritual war we are fighting. Put the protection of our creator over yourself, your loved ones, your property. Then demons cannot enter the Holy Temple ( our bodies ) filled with the Holy Spirit. That is the truth demons do not want us to know. They are afraid of humans when we know how to humble our hearts & pray for God to protect. Unfortunately the ORGANIZED churches are controlled by Satan, so they spew fear porn. It is not humans end times. It is the demons end time. Did u notice the demon threat? If you know don’t tell anyone. Keep their secret? No. Spread the word. Tell it to the world. Humans are eternal beings. They r not. We have nothing to fear when Holy Spirit is protecting us. Do not fear.
It is only important to understand if you are a parishioner of Abrahamic belief systems. There are over 3,000 religions known to mankind. Most of them do not believe in the hierarchy of heaven or hell. There's absolutely no substantial evidence to suggest that Satan exists or Jesus, for that matter. Our homosapiens species are animals. In nature, there is no such thing as good or evil. Everything is either positive, neutral, negative, alkaline, or acidic. Negative doesn't mean evil or ill-intent. Positive doesn't mean pious or angelic.
Scary movie. Like Denzel Washington who is actually a very spiritual person according to what i have seen when he talks on interviews ❤

Azazel is a real Angel. A “ Fallen” Angel. His story is told in Book of Enoch. More info on spirit plane is in Apocrypha. Apocalypse of Abraham tells you what Azazel looks like.
Stay out of the book of Enoch. I met all the demons and it's not fun getting rid of them. Arch Angel Michael can only protect you if GOD allows him to come to you. If you welcome the evil spirits they will definitely come to you.

Demons and gangstalkers are so arrogant. Quite ironic considering both their past and future.
Azezul is also a character in the x-men franchise(first class) and ironically his powers are teleportation basically being anywhere at anyplace, kinda how this Azezul can be any one at any place
