  • I love the phrase "Nazar değmesin" because I'm wearing an evil eye necklace all the time, even now. 🧿 Also I had no idea you say "Maydanoz olma". That made me smile because we Bulgarians have a very similar expression. We say "На всяка манджа мерудия" (Na vsyaka manja merudiya) which means "Parsley in every meal/dish" and just like in Turkish it means that you're very nosy, that you're a gossiper. Also we normally use the word "магданоз" (magdanoz) for "parsley". So, it's very similar to the Turkish "maydanoz" but in this expression we use "мерудия" (merudiya) which is a more old and uncommon synonym to "magdanoz". I just love the unexpected similarities between our languages. Anywayssss. I love Turkish idioms. They are always so funny and original. Often times they make me laugh. 💫🖤

  • Ders için teşekkür ederim, çok yardımcı oldu. 'Dört Gözle Beklemek' : 'To Wait With Four Eyes' This idiom can also be used when you want to say you are eagerly looking forward to something. Örnek cümleler : Example sentences Yaz aylarının gelmesini dört gözle bekliyorum : I am eagerly waiting for the summer months to come. Eminim sizin gelecek tatile dört gözle bekliyorsunuz : I am sure you are looking forward to your next holiday. Seni yeniden görmeyi dört gözle bekliyorlar : They are looking forward to seeing you again. Hayatınızda neyin olmasını dört gözle bekliyorsunuz? What are you looking forward to in your life?🙂 --- Bu cümleler doğru mu? Tekrar teşekkür ederim.
