  • This is very helpful. Even for an adult. Had a doctor distract me when injecting for my carpal tunnel. He had a nurse sneak up behind me. Swabbed the location with alcohol then asked a very bizarre question like 'What do you think about hippos?' Confused he immediately injected me ....and then I realized what he did. I thanked him...because I barley noticed and he was already done before I felt anything. I had told him my needle phobia...and he didn't make me feel bad. Thank you medical professionals who do this...even for adults

    • I feel you! I always looked the other way but the doc distracting me even just by rambling about something else (even as random as the weather) was helpful. Way better than one who did a blood draw for me and started mumbling about how he couldn't find my vein.

  • Reminds me of my pediatrician. Such a caring guy. Later in my teen years, when I had some mental health issues, bent over backwards to lead me to get antidepressants while still in HS. Shout out to you Dr. Lopez. That care mattered and made a difference in my young life

I am the best baby care giver because I know what is like to have been mistreated. I don't need God or any religion to be a good person.

    • Sambista Nega do Samba dear we are only humans I don't mean by that that we are weak but you have to understand that soon or later we all break and we all have our moments of weakness and when that happened things do get out of control and all the bad memories comes back to hunt us down....that's why when you forgive you are healing your self and I do agree with you that we don't need god to be good but we do need god to stay god forever because god is the fuel of hope and during Extreme difficult moments of life if there is no god there's no hope because god is the fuel of hope....plus remember dealing with people's children it's not like dealing with your own children....of course you love your children more but you are most likely to be more free around your children too because dealing with people's kids you always have to be very careful
