Hours spent playing video games on a windows 98 PC on a Saturday ignoring homework, hanging out with friends on the street, having water fights in summer, first generation pokémon, walkmans, MTV, picnics with neighbors, sunshine, my mom smiling... I want to go back, and stay there.

  • I remember seeing this music video on VH1 at like 2am back when I was a kid, no older than 10 years old. The feeling of wanderlust I had after the video ended, just wanting to get out of my house in the suburbs and wanting to see the world, it hit me so hard.     • This song and video always effected me deeply, because I'm the exact opposite of these ppl. I'm terrified of the world. To go outside I have to literally plan every step of my day, or l won't be able to function. Meanwhile these 3 just decide randomly to buy a car and drive wherever the road takes them. No plan in mind. When they get tired, they just sneak into a motel room and sleep. When the car breaks down, they just abandon it and walk into the unknown. Not a care or worry in the world. I wish l were like that 😢

    • I thought that myself you can look at people 20 years ago in the late 90's and see that they still look like we are now ie fashion, hairstyles etc (and people seemed "normal") .If you went back to the late eighties THEN went back 20 years to the 60s the difference is like night and day. So little has changed but then so much has changed...thinking back to the late 90's and early 2000's brings a lump to my throat it really was a great time to be young.
