  • Interestingly enough, the Gamepad is really comfortable in the hands. I think that Nintendo pretty much made sure that you could actually hold the thing.

  • This console has to be the most underrated consoles ever. This console was a great emulator for past games, had great graphics ( since some people only look at graphics first), has some amazing First Party Games, and was really creative. Too bad it sold poorly this console had some more potential but at least the Switch has extremely helped Nintendo through the WiiU's rough years.

    • +Dr Plush Wii mote brought Nintendo back to the top in the 7th gen, and revolutionized gaming. It wasn't just for nerds anymore, grandpa and grandma could get into it, and I know mine did. But looking back on it, I think the gamecube controller is still the best, it feels natural and built for anyone's hands, plus it has all the buttons I need for more complex games. ~ VCSGaming (TheVCubeSolver's alt account)

  • I don’t know why this this console failed, Nintendo. This was so cool! And my friend still has a Wii U! I sometimes visit him and we play games on it. It has a great library of games, and the best part of it is that you can play Wii games on it. Great job, Nintendo!

    • It failed because of the horrible advertising, and its name. The advertisements made people think it's just aimed at children, and the name made people confused as to what it actually is. Many people thought it was just an unnecessary add-on controller for the Wii.

  • When I first got the Wii U, I thought that you could take the Wii U Gamepad with you and disconnecting it from the TV, and I thought it was portable, but sadly that wasn't the case. The Switch is basically everything the Wii U SHOULD have been. The Gamepad is just a gimmicky controller. I do love the Wii U though, it's a brilliant console, but this has been one of the worst generations for me as a Nintendo supporter, because everyone cares about PS4 and Xbox One, and no one talks about the Wii U, even though it has just slightly surpassed the Xbox One in sales. The Switch is going to change this though, we will get revenge on Sony and Microsoft for ruining our dreams!

  • It's a shame that the Wii U never really took off. It had plenty of potential with the GamePad, but since it lacked 3rd party support, had lower specs compared to PS4 and Xbox One, and terrible marketing (no one knew if it was a new console or a Wii add on) it failed. Not to say that it sucks (I own one), but it could've done a lot better. It's not a bad console at all, but it just doesn't match up to its competitors. ☹️

  • It's an NEC point. That's Near Field Communicator. It has the ability to read specialized items that are placed on the Gamepad and deliver information, or create an in game likeness. Like in Skylanders where you can take collectible monsters and place them on a port that creates them in the game to play as. But there are tons more uses...

  • They spent 7 years on it. It's still a good game overall. I could say that the tutorial follows you forever throughout the game which was slightly annoying but not too bad. But overall the gameplay was fresh. It was innovating. It showed a different yet good nature that the Zelda series has now brought.
