Pi's father owns a zoo. Growing up in such a unique environment, Pi develops his own views on faith and human nature. When Pi is seventeen, his parents decide to immigrate to Canada for a better life, forcing him to leave behind his first love.
On their way to Canada, they encounter a ruthless French chef. That same night, amidst a raging storm in the vast ocean, what was once an exhilarating adventure for Pi turns into a catastrophic disaster swallowing the cargo ship. Miraculously, Pi survives, drifting on a lifeboat in the Pacific Ocean, accompanied by the most unexpected companion-Richard Parker, a Bengal tiger. And so, the extraordinary adventure begins unexpectedly...
