"The pride attempted a hunt on a herd of buffaloes and things went south quickly when the whole herd retaliated, stampeding towards the lions. Unfortunately, the older male lion could not get out of the way quick enough because of his injury."
"He then got thrown around and trampled for about 15 minutes before the rest of the pride came to his aid. He survived the ordeal and is still alive, but he is in very bad condition with internal damage."
"As sad as it is, we should always remember this is the wild and that nature can be cruel sometimes and it will always be a battle for survival. This male lion survived the past four years with a really bad limp against all odds and will fight until his last breath."

Dark Mane avoca was already injured and was entering old age when the buffaloes attacked him from all side and still he survived for several days after that. Truly an impressive lion.
These buffalos getting some justice, no matter how long it took.
They are well known for wanting revenge, helping not just there own kind but other animals ive seen footage of them helping elephant calf, warthog, zebra, wildebeest and other antelope from lions and hyenas if they can they will kill the predator.

It's a very nice thing to see that the lion survived such a brutal attack. It shows his will to live was still present and facing so many buffaloes, defying all odds to survive. But eventually, age catches up with everyone.
I think this is Dark Mane - looks like he’s got a punctured lung as well as some other very nasty injuries. The rest of the pride seem to be waiting for him though, and he’s been back on his (very swollen) feet. Not sure how much hope there is but obviously some.

Dark Mane is only 9 so still in his prime. He’s just not in the best of shape due to a run of bad luck. Plus he lost a lot of mane due to stress. So he may look older to some.

The original statement from the person who shot the video was that this male was already carrying a leg injury when the pride got caught up in a buffalo stampede. The others managed to escape while he couldn't. Although he survived this ordeal he has serious internal injuries.

What kings ? Lions are cowards. They attack their from the back and take advantage of the young of other animals. One on one, a mature lion cannot kill a mature buffalo of the same age. The pride lions needs to come together to kill just one buffalo. The true King of the jungle remains the Elephant who is a grass eater but can crush any other animal that comes it's way.

The lion has many enemies, there are those who fight for food like hyenas and other felines, and there are old grudge holders like buffaloes and elephants, I once saw buffaloes destroy a lion cub and even taste its flesh, I don't know if nature has a mind of its own, all I know is that some mistakes are fatal
